First time trying the White Hart Fish Bar today after many recommendations. Staff were super friendly and our reasonably large order was all cooked fresh and to order. They even had rock which not many fish shops have nowadays in my recent experience. The food itself was amazing. Genuinely the nicest fish and chips I’ve had for ages. My family agreed too. This is now our go too chippy! 5 stars!

First time trying this place tonight we live a fair distance and have chip shops closer but after seeing the reviews for White Hart fish bar we thought we’d try it out, so pleased we did ! From the minute we walked in we were greeted with such warm friendly people I could have stayed all night and chatted ! The food was clearly very fresh and my son had a chicken burger cooked whilst he was there as decided once we got there he wanted one ! My son is somewhat of a chicken burger connoisseur 😂 and he LOVED his chicken burger! We had cod and chips and it was absolutely perfect so fresh and the just perfect batter too ! Parking was also easy ! Will definitely be going back and would definitely recommend to try !

Food is ok but I think it’s expensive in there and they have some cheek charging £2.50 for a bottle of vinegar when you can get 2 bottles for a £1 in the garden centre I understand they need to make profit but I find it greedy they do take card payment so that’s good

This used to be the best fish and chips I’ve ever had but then new management took over recently and it’s simply not the same taste especially the fish it’s not as good as before sadly 😒

Regular cod & chips was delicious and freshly cooked. The portions were very generous and reasonably priced. Lovely, friendly staff who chatted with us while we waited... will definitely be coming back for more very soon!

Best fish and chip shop in the area. Chips are fresh, lovely and crispy. Cooked fresh so nothing sits getting soggy like other places. It’s worth the wait, or call 10 mins before you go in for big orders. Since giving this another try, after its refurb, wouldn’t go anywhere else. They do a good variety of different fish and the 1/2 chicken n chips is amazing! Lovely staff. 👍

I have lived local a long time now and this place has definitely become one of the best in the area again 👍. The new people serving & cooking have made this chippy what it once was. So glad to see this has reopened! Ordered cod and chips and can honestly say it was the best I've had for a very long time. The chips were superb, crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. It's very clean and the staff are very friendly. Definitely will be returning.

After being newly reopened, I got cod and chips a Friday evening tradition and it was made fresh as I waited. It was a lovely big piece of cod, flaky and tasty with a great crispy batter. Chips were fresh and lightly golden. Staff are friendly and attentive to their customers. Definitely a new favourite takeaway and local.

Wev been looking for a decent chippy for sometime so we gave whitehart lane fish bar a try as theres new people running it, i called to order a feashly cooked large cod, its the best bit of fish ive had in a longtime! Cooked perfectly!, its a regular thing for us an so it should be for anyone else who likes there fish n chips

This is the 3rd time getting from here.. gave it the benefit of the doubt ,and can honestly say, i wont bother again . Sausage in batter was cold and leathery and pretty sure it was fresh at some point but been reheated,chips were hard and cold with no taste, very bland ,the fish was ok but wasnt fresh and batter was average.Unless any negative views are taken on board and acted on , they will quickly lose customers .

Ed was brilliant called in with no cash , let me get my food for my 88 yrs mum , and said pay later , which I did food was lovely will be returning with cash , and he wears a poppy my mum knitted 😀

This place is amazing, when I walked in all the staff greeted me with a warm smile and asked me what I wanted. I went for the standard cod and chips, food was reasonably priced. And let me tell you when I first took a bite all those flavours were having a party in my mouth, will 100% be coming back.
