He estado aquí como un habitual desde hace varios años y siempre he recibido una cálida bienvenida del personal de guardia, además de la comida es increíble. Sin embargo, las dos últimas veces que he visitado he encontrado al chico sirviendo inaccesible, grosero y con el aspecto de que realmente no quiere estar allí. La primera vez le di el beneficio de la duda, pero su mala actitud frente al cliente continuó en mi próxima visita. Esto está muy lejos del servicio amable al que he estado acostumbrado, lo que es una pena. Esperemos que cuando visite disfrutará de la gran comida y el personal amable que suele estar de servicio. Just popped in for a pint. Good beer, good service, nice atmosphere. Will be going back over the Christmas holidays.

Absolute Gem of a Freehouse pub. Made very welcome by the Landlord, Charlie and the family. Food only at the weekends. The quintessential village pub!

What a great place first visit however best place in Runcorn read mixed reviews before going here , so was a bit nervous , however it was relaxing,friendly, polite staff ,food was tasty and hot the restaurant was clean it was amazing highly recommend but leave me a table will definitely be back thank you

Pleasant little restaurant, lovely and welcoming. Staff are very attentive and always at hand. The starters was great but the balti was just ok .. all in all a good visit.

I was dropping into solo ranked on the new og map and I had to stop at hathats coffee recommended by my mum who said Lisa Hurst's flat white was exquisite. Thankfully I was greeted by a lovely young chap by the name of Felix who was kind, considerate and genuinely a chill guy he served me a crepe which was the best I have ever had (this is an understatement) and a lovely hot chocolate to polish it off. Such a bargain so cheap for what it is worth and it helped me get my first victory this season, definitely will be coming back soon!!

What a fabulous meal we had here - 26 aqua aerobics ladies Christmas dinner. The meal was absolutely delicious - I chose the smoked salmon starter, roast beef main and lemon posset dessert. I had no idea how enormous the portions would be!! It was a 'proper' roast dinner, piping hot, beautifully cooked and everything wasn't all piled up in a stack as seems to be the thing at the moment. The staff were brilliant and all 25 of us were served at the same time without any waiting. The staff were really friendly and organised and definitely worked as a very good team. Totally recommend and can't wait to go back.

Been in today, had jacket potato with cheese n tuna mayo, potato was very small and over priced!!!

We had a very disappointing meal here last week (December 2024). There was a very reduced menu available for December with only 6 non-burger mains choices. This wouldn't have been such an issue if the items on the menu had been available. Despite it only being 7pm on a Saturday and the pub being far from full, there was no fish and chips left, no shepherds pie and only 2 servings of chicken and leek crumble. Based on our experience (this visit and late October when we put issues down to teething problems after the change of ownership) - prices have gone up, while quality, choice (this visit), service and friendliness have gone down. I hope it can be turned around after the recent change of ownership, but I don't feel we'll want to rush back.

Why do these places in the Midlands never serve a pint?

The audacity to say this place has a wheelchair accessible entrance when you can see the steep step up in the photos. No. It’s not an accessible entrance at all.
