Great service love the small homely feel of the cafe area the prices are very reasonable the menu is very traditional will be visiting again soon thank you.

Your Mugs ( Forgive us we do not use that word ) Really was a Taste that we will not forget in a long time. A Good Strong Hot Drink with The Right Color and It really did hit the Want of a Good Cup Of Tea. May we say your Table cloths are so Lovely and Family Warm . lovely tables. plastic table cloths. staff ready to serve you as soon as you sit down. pot of tea is always hot. the scones are amazing Just Amazing. my fav dish is Fish and Chips and bread and butter and of course the lovely Mayo. it is fair priced and you really will smile as you listen in to lots of other conversations going on with other diners and no one seems to mind. this Cafe is the best. it always has been. well done to the very nice staff.

it is just a lovely place to eat. the staff are so polite. good food. clean food. the best scones in the whole of the north east. good prices. visiting this place is like getting a hug from your mother when your own mother is no longer here. go. eat. try it. if you do not enjoy the food then you do not belong there.

We found this little café hidden away off the town centre, just a few minutes walk from the town clock. (opposite side of the road). Last Friday 10th MayFriendly staff, did not have long to wait for our order, good sizes and well cooked.Very reasonable price.Will visit again if we're in the area now that we know it is open.

full English breakfast is great and willing to swap items you dont like for things you do ! good service

This cafe is most popular with an older demographic but attracts a variety of customers. It has an old fashioned ambience (not the least bit trendy) and is situated in a delightful laneway with outside seats for good weather. The fare is traditional and very tasty. All items are served by friendly staff and it is amazing value. We visited twice, once for lunch of toasted sandwiches, and once for breakfast. Highly recommended.

An absolutely fantastic cafe. Very ordinary very basic, very clean and comfortable.Proper old school cafe and very good quality and value for money.Had brunch at half the price of other places.Two young ladies who's work rate and service we exceptional without any hassle rush or panic.Not easy to find and entrance is a doorway size opposite the clock tower and market.Highly recommend and will definitely return.

Visited on a Saturday morning for breakfast. A mini breakfast, a full English both with extras and drinks was only £10.50.Value for money but not the highest quality food however it works really well and the staff were pleasant and food was cooked to order.Will be back if in the area again

We eat at the Sunflower regularly and often have a "full English" breakfast or a mini breakfast both of which are cooked to perfection. Everything is cooked to order and is delicious I would highly recommend this place for lunch or breakfast or just a snack.

We have often had our breakfast here and have never been disappointed. It's the full works beautifully cooked for under a fiver. You won't go wrong.

On a budget, carn' t get better than this. Staff pleasant. Cafe clean.food good. A paper to read with your coffee.

Encontrado este pequeño café pintoresco por uno de los metros por accidente, pero mi amigo y yo nos alegramos porque el joven que nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos. Nos decidimos por sopa de verduras caseras, que era preciosa y una losa. En general, el servicio y la comida era genial y el precio era razonable. bien hecho.

Yo y mi esposa entró en Darlington en el autobús y en las calles rumouring tropezamos con este café. Parecía lleno así que pensamos en darle una oportunidad.

Encontré este acogedor café por uno de 45 metros y lo darlington hallazgo genial. Fantástica relación 4,80 libras por un completo desayuno con una taza de té. El desayuno era grande y bien presentado y muy sabroso el pan frito fue hecho prefecto tan crujiente y el tocino era justo como lo pedí.

The owners seem to operate this small café. It is well presented although I would have preferred it to have been a little warmerA good selection of snack bar style food. Where appropriate, served nice and hot. Whilst we had tea, there seemed to be a small, barista style coffee range.We normally swap out fried bread for plain when having a small A.D. breakfast. On this occasion we forgot... and were rather glad for the memory lapse... expertly executed fried bread, crisp and no sign of excess oil/fat. Still feeling a little guilty however! Diet recommences tomorrow!

Love The Sunflower Café! Often pop in for either a quick cuppa or a bit of breakfast when shopping in Darlington Town Centre. Nice & clean with friendly staff. Its not flash but it is a lovely little café.

Unless something comes up we come here everyday. I have some strange pregnancy cravings and the staff are more than happy to facilitate with them :) unless something goes drastically wrong we will be here everyday for the foreseeable!

what an amazing little cafe rainbows is, the staff are brilliant, down to earth, and very friendly, and the food is the best quality, good size meals, and very good prices, the all day breakfast (or big breakfast) is just simply the best, have never found a cafe in darlington that even comes close, and its that that keeps me coming back every time. well done guys, and thank you for such a gem of a cafe.........the best

This place is a real gem and not only is the food perfect, the service is fab too. Hidden away but definitely worth finding.

A great find I had the all day breakfast which was great value for money.my partner had homemade soup which she said was lovely and a sandwich which had plenty of filling .

Great value for money. I had a corned beef pie new potatoes peas and mug of tea and it was lovely and it only cost me £5.45

This tiny cafe is down one of the side alleys (wynds) in Darlington, and has friendly staff and fairly cheap prices, on a basic cafe style menu. The drinks include herbal tea options and there are some nice cakes. There's no sense of you being rushed to finish your food.

A brilliant breakfast, good friendly service, good sized portion all well cooked. Overall excellent food, well priced, I'd recommend it to anyone. PS ignore the photo.

Had the all day breakfast at 11am and it lasted me all day. The black pudding was lovely and the bacon and eggs were cooked just how I like them. Nice big mug of tea too.

i went here with friends after it was recommented by a work collegue and the cafe was a lovely friendly place.i had the soup which was lovely you could tell it was homemade.prices are very reasonable.

This cute little cafe is hidden down one of Darlingtons Yards but once found you will never forget it. Its cosy décor and friendly staff make you feel at home from the moment you enter. Its not badly priced either for good home cooked food and good customer service.

This cafe is one of those amazing places where as soon as you walk in you're made to feel like you're an old friend. The service is second to none, and the homecooked food is absolutely delicious. It may be hidden away down a yard off high row, but we would definitely recommend giving it a try!
