I have visited here about once a month for the last two years. The coffee is good but there is a definite cliquey vibe here where the friendly service seems to be reserved for the regulars. On occasions I have felt like an inconvenience to the chatter between regulars and staff. Please try and follow the example of the owners dog and welcome all customers, old and new, trendy or not.

Was an okay visit , coffee was below average and staff seemed to mock my coffee order , but I didn’t take any notice as it was Christmas and wanted to enjoy my coconut gingerbread decaf latte , very good area for business on the otherhand.

Visited The Dancing Goat for the first time last week and had a great experience. We don't live close but will definitely be coming back when we're next in the area. We own our own coffee shop but were away for a few days and I was really missing a decent cup if coffee. We had a search on Google and this place came up with some good recommendations. We weren't disappointed. The coffee was perfect, really nice and full bodied. Also had banana bread with cinnamon butter which was amazing as were the croissants. Really friendly service too. They were only open for takeaway dues to everything going on at the moment but that didn't take from an all round great experience. The shop is located in what seems like a nice little community area so stood outside the church in the sunshine, drinking a lovely cup of coffee and watching the world go by..... Perfect 😁

Smooth velvety flat whites (one vegan). Excellent coconut and chocolate flapjack – moist and not too sweet. Small café, but perfectly formed. And most importantly they know how to make a good coffee.

Lovely little spot located just off the main drag in Ashley Cross. Located in the historic Parr Street this small local coffee shop is friendly accessible and has some great coffee. Seating inside and out and the best thing is its doggo friendly. A nice and varied selection of food and treats. Why can't all coffee shops be like this?

This place is awesome. Without fail now on a Sunday morning (sometimes Saturday too) we get our coffee and granola pot. It's not uncommon for us to get banana bread or a cake (espresso brownie) too as these are amazing too. Great service and the best coffee on Ashley Cross. It has a lovely community feel to the place and is dog friendly so you get to meet quite a few friendly furry faces.

We got here just as the ladies were closing up for the day, but they very kindly made us a flat white each in a takeaway cup which we sat outside and savoured. It was absolutely top-notch coffee and by far our best since Lyme Regis (the starting point of our six day 87 mile walk along the SWCP), so it was very much appreciated.

It is certainly a hidden gem that was recommended to us, where the menu is great, the coffee is better and the customer service was superb. After ordering, we realised they didn’t take card – panic sets in but the gentleman (who I assume is manager or owner) was prepared to let us have our drinks and come back after a day trip to pay! This is SO kind and trusting, which makes me want to return every week. We did pop out to get cash before leaving just so we knew it was sorted but the fact they were willing to do this is something you do not see anymore. Freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee was spot on! We didn’t have time for food sadly but will definitely be heading back for their flatbread pizza and Goat Milkshake which looked amazing! Also dog friendly which gets another 5* from me.

Best coffee in Poole. Good selection of cakes and savouries. Peaceful spot to chill for a bit during the working day. Entertainment always about from locals that feel part of a family of quality coffee lovers. They've even had a goat marriage from patrons. Says it all!

Sunday morning and need a cuppa and as it was the only place I could find I went in.From the the outside it looks as if it only does take away but they have seating inside compact and overly decorated with simple decorative art. I felt uncomfortable as it did not have wifi and there was dog running around. I am chef and an animal has no place in a coffee shop makes the place feel totally off putting. My coffee was reasonably priced but the taste was nice, mellow and smooth. I very mu h enjoyed the coffee but the running around mut just put me off. The place had the aroma of a wet dog, your coffee is tasty but please leave the dog at home.

Just dropped in on a Sunday morning for a head rescuing coffee before we got on the road. Tiny but great. The locals clearly love it and there was a lovely atmosphere in there, helped by really lovely staff. Got coffees, a fruity flap jack and some warm banana bread (yum), all great quality. The decor won't appeal to everyone (modern industrial with some softer touches) but I liked it. No tables, just a bench on one side and a bar stool bit on the other. Not much food selection out, but serving bar only tiny. If we're back that way will make a point of going

Met with friends for lunch and coffee, and will definitely be back! I had a halloumi wrap with chilli dressing and tasty salad, friends had peanutty noodle salad, and bacon and waffles, all looked and tasted delicious. There is a friendly soft natured Labrador around the place, he belongs to the good-looking owner.

This is for Dancing Goat 2 in Canford Cliffs.Coffee not quite up to the Parr Street establishment, but still good. Shabby, trendy(oh dear!), but let down by dirty tables and floor with dog biscuits on it, and a dog running around.

This quote from the owner rings true in your ears! The second coffee saloon in Canford Cliffs offers a bigger range of food and the usual fantastic coffee. Hot waffles, crispy bacon and maple syrup the best for a late breakfast! This shabby, unique, comfortable surrounding is unbeatable and Colin and crew are superb. Try it, you will love it! The ponchos for chilly mortals to wear outdoors are a great idea

The Dancing Goat had been recommended to me by a fellow tradesman, I finally decided to call in at lunch time today, and can only use one word to describe the coffee. "Wow".The coffee was really very good indeed and the temptation of the sandwiches was too great to refuse. I ordered a 'Butchers' sandwich which consists of carved ham, home made coleslaw on granary/brown bread. For less than £4 it was superb. The girls working there were great too, lots of welcoming chat and a friendly smile.Definitely give this place a go, it's excellent.

We visited this establishment on a Tuesday lunch time. There was outdoor seating available we chose to sit there and watch the world go by. Orders were taken at the table, but I would note you had to go inside when you wanted to pay. We both ordered Ham egg and chips, which was disappointing. The egg ( yes only 1) was cooked in a ring ( very McDonald’s esq) and was very overdone. No runny yolk as one would expect with this dish to dip chips and ham into. The Ham was ok, and the chips passable but sparse. I’d say possibly we made a bad decedent with what we ordered, however it’s not difficult to get this british staple meal right. I’d say overpriced based on our meal that day. I wouldn’t choose to go back. On a side note and this is outside of the proprietors control. We were bothered several times by shady characters whilst sat outside establishment. All trying to sell counterfeit or stolen perfume and tobacco. They are quite persistent and off putting.
