Called in for a beer whilst we had a few hours to kill in Harrogate. Nice ambiance and decent beer.

Cosy traditional pub offering a hospitable, friendly welcome. Great place for a post-walk drink with a group of friends.

Recently visited here as our regular place in North Walsham was closed due to works. We called ahead to preorder, which we didn’t see the point of doing as it wasn’t ready when we arrived on time and had to wait a further 15minutes. I had the fish bites, which had the skin on, and with hardly any fish. If you managed to find the fish it was so overcooked it was chewy to eat. I had to throw them all away. The chips weren’t anything to shout about; they were edible. My partner’s medium skinless fish was ok. I will never go here again… If our favourite place is shut then we will wait until they’re open again.

Now ,four of us sat down to another glorious meal. The Monkfish, the Hake and the Lemon Sole could not have been better and the starters ( Scallops and Mussels) were delightful. Service is friendly and very efficient. I look forward to our next visit in January 2025

We had a meal for six people on a very busy Saturday evening. The food and service were very good. We thought the dishes could have been brought out a little more slowly as there was no room on the table and consequently we felt a little rushed. Overall however we all enjoyed the meal and thought it good value for money with a wide and varied menu, good service and atmosphere.

Visit here quite often so thought I’d do another review more recent than my other one nearly a year ago. However, the words are still the same….. Great place! Super friendly staff, delicious food every time (been at least 10 times!) and speedy service. Highly recommended to you

The most authentic South Indian cuisine!!! Having grown up with multi cultural food culture, I have high expectations when come to type of food or cuisines that get used to back home. What can I say - you make a man very happy today! That Poratta (aka Roti Canai 😁) was exactly how it should be made. I’ll be back! 🙌

Such a wonderful stay at the litton with our Labrador. The service was excellent, there are some nice walks to do in the area, the rooms are clean and spacious and the food and drinks were delicious

Stayed in the pub in a lovely double room. The bathroom was beautifully furnished with molton brown toiletries, and in the bedroom there was a fridge and a honesty box. We ate in the restaurant. Service was fabulous and the food was lovely. I had the fish stew. There is a great cocktail menu but it was a work night! Next morning the night porter couldn’t have been more helpful as we arrived a bit earlier than our scheduled 8am breakfast and offered to make us a coffee. 8am is a bit late for a business breakfast but….it was excellent and there was plenty of choice. Highly recommend everything about this place and it’s priced comparably to the chain hotel nearby.

Pretty disappointed tonight. Birthday meal ruined by being sat on the table closest to bar. A large no. of people turned up without reservations and stood close to the table and were loud. Made the whole experience feel like dining in a holding pen not a restaurant. Better manage guests so that those without reservations are either turned away or made to wait somewhere separate to diners. A real shame as always had lovely experiences there in past.

This is the third time we've eaten here, finally getting around to leaving a review. This pub is brilliant, great freshly prepped food, honest pricing, friendly attentive team and a relaxed pleasant atmosphere. Thank you.

Ollie was a great server as were the others checking in to see how we were, how the food was and if we needed anything else. The food was delicious as always!

Great service, nothing to much trouble. Amazing sausages!
