The best restaurants in England

Waited 1 hours and 50 mins for food. Rang the takeaway after an hour and half. It was next out for delivery. Don't think it either been made!!

We came across this restaurant walking into town from are air bnb and decided to book, and we are so glade we did. It really kick started are trip away with a bang and set the bar pretty hight. The food was so tasty and fresh we ate both the pasta dishes on the sunday witch where so tasty and perfectly balanced little layer of flavours. Iv seen a few review mentioning too much salt and I do partly agree that the pork pasta dish was super rich and high in salt intitaly but once through the crumb it was really suttel and tasty, i personally did not find the crumb to be to much, i think its a personally taste thing and dinners should let the staff know so it can be delt with before giving negative reviews on what is clearly very fresh well cooked food. We also had a brutta with was so well balanced and fresh and a cheese and meat board witch was amzing. The staff where great enthusiastic and clearly food lovlers, we where aloud to try selection on the wine before picking a bottle and the waiter was very knowledgeable and relaxed. We found the atmosphere to be really enjoyable relaxed friendly and filled with people who actually seemed to respect food!! Go team

Lovely pub with excellent food and ale. Landlord and staff were very welcoming. Recommend this to everyone including dogs and children. Will definitely visit again ❤️

This is our third visit to the Candlelight which is now our favourite place to eat. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and flexible and even when busy have time to welcome us and chat. The food is 5 star. We just had a family Sunday roast there with everything cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The owners have created a very special relaxed friendly atmosphere. We look forward to many more visits.

Popped in here randomly on a Sunday night and what a great place! Pasta was delicious and very fresh. Best Italian I've been to in a long time!

This bar can pop off at anytime of day and rightfully so, featuring a beautiful inside with friendly staff and nice music. The drink menu concept is fun and results in some great cocktails. Great spot for groups, dates, solos, aperitifs, etc.

If you are in a rush don't bother. I ordered two latte's. There was no queue but waited at least 20 minutes. Other people came and seemed to get served before us, yet when I asked when our drinks would be ready they seemed annoyed and just said it's coming. When it was ready finally it was just placed with an inaudible 'something' Other people came into the cafe and chatted , got served and went upstairs. Before we got served two drinks that were ordered by people who said they were going upstairs were just placed in the hatch to go cold . When I did get my late it was barely Luke warm

My partner and I often go with our triplet babies and all the staff are absolutely fantastic. The manager is such a lovely lady and nothing is too much trouble. They are so accomodating with children, it makes the whole experience just so lovely! And the food is consistantly amazing! It is our favourite place to eat! Thank you so much.

We only popped in quite late in the evening, but were made to feel so welcome that we will certainly return. The staff had a great attitude. They work well together and contribute so much to make the White Horse stand out from other pubs nearby.

Wonderful Christmas lunch and excellent service.

El pescado probó “Watery”. Tu fondo estaba empapado, el rebozado marrón oscuro, no dorado, rebozado grasiento. Chips de color oscuro muy secos que parecían haber sido cocinados, enfriados y luego refritos de nuevo. Una para evitar.

Wow, very good burgers!! Rosemary fries so addictive and could not stop dipping them in the bacon gravy bowl! Will definitely come back again. Nice and friendly watering staff too (Stephen - nice Romanian fella)

I had a very good experience in this restaurant the services was excellent and also the food was taste but to be honest the price was a little bit high
