I popped in last night whilst travelling around the Kent coastline in my camper. Lovely bloke serving. Turns out he used to live in Southend, near me. Food was lovely. All cooked nice and fresh. Took it back to my campervan and ate it on the marina. Would recommend!

The most inedible fish and chips I have ever had the misfortune of tasting! Do not eat here. You will be very disappointed, massive shame as the team are lovely!

I recently visited royal shop bar ozy, and it’s hands down the best fish and chips I’ve had in a while! The fish was fresh with crispy golden batter, and the chips were thick, crispy, and soft inside—just perfect. The condiments were great. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the generous portions made it great value for money. If you’re craving authentic fish and chips, I highly recommend royal shop bar ozy.

Brillant food. We made our madentrip from Stellendam to Ramsgate with our sailjacht. To celebrate we had a large Rod fish&chips. It was so delicious to made a photo before we ate it all. Every penny worth it.!! Ozy is the best, thanks a lot. Tessekur edirim. iZi and Morris.

Ordered on Just Eat, turned up at the time given by the website and they had only just started cooking the order. Then waited half an hour for the order to be completed. The food was ok, but I have had a lot better fish n chips locally in Ramsgate and Margate recently, so unfortunately, I can't realistically recommend this place on either food or service. The cost was in line with most other fish n chips shops, however, there are other places a few hundred yards from here serving better fish n chips, quicker and CHEAPER !

Delicious and beautifully cooked haddock, yummy chips and scampi and a massive dose of quality service. Ozy's delightful sense of humour was a wonderful touch to an already enjoyable meal with friends. Will revisit when in Ramsgate again 👏 👏 👏

I'm a local, I live in Margate. We visited Ransgate today and I fancied a bag of chips. I use to work here many years ago so chose here over anywhere else. Unfortunately I was disappointed. I waited a total of 10 mins in a queue in all that time I wasn't greeted with either a smile or a hello, or even asked what I would like to order. There's a sign which clearly asks customers to be patient as everything is cooked fresh! Great I don't have a problem with that but it would have been nice to be acknowledged. After 10mins of waiting we left. We went around the corner to sunrise and what a diffeance! We were greeted with a smile, and a hello, chips were amazing!!! From now on SUNRISE it is for the best chips in Ramsgate Town.

The owner is an absolute national treasure and should be protected at all costs. Fish and chips were top notch and worth the trek I made to get them. I will tell everyone I know to go here and if you’re in the area, stop by and say hi to the owner and get some amazingly cooked fish and chips.

Lovely fish n chips place, my girlfriend and I came in late in the evening after arriving from London and the owner was delightful, the food wonderful. Definitely recommend for the fresh fish and friendly atmosphere. We took our meals to the nearby seaside afterwards.

We had a lovely dinner here with the TU Delft Hydro Motion Team, came here with a big group and the food, service and atmosphere was really good! He even stayed open later special for us, so nice! Would definitely recommend the fish and chips!

We went in when we were in Ramsgate in February, it was freezing cold, and we were looking for somewhere to eat, not easy to find as it was very early in the evening. Izzy and his wife were so friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious to top it off. Will definitely return next time we are in Ramsgate.

It would have been better to cancel a customers order, than take thier money and deliver poor quality and chips. All fish should be freshly cooked. Its a must!

The fish and chips are so tasty! We were looking for some halal food in Ramsgate and found this shop on the way, we decided to give a try and absolutely love it! The fish was fresh and well made, also in good size because some restaurants offer just a small fish and sometimes charge a huge price. I also tried a buttered halal sausage and it was very nice as well! I definitely recommend them!

So lucky to have found this wonderful restaurant. It was clean & well kept with a great ambience. Ozy is a great man & he & his wife offer a welcome & a service beyond the best. The fish was fresh & so tasty with a light crisp batter. So tasty & so HUGE! Chips were beautifully cooked & again so tasty. We loved the food, the setting & Ozy & his wife will never be forgotten.

Large cod with chips, pie and complimentary ketchup for just under £13. The chef was friendly and making jokes with customer. The cod was made to order. We took our food to the beach and enjoyed it under the sun.

My husband and I went in for lunch today and had the most beautiful cod and chips and scampi and chips, all cooked fresh. We sat in the restaurant area and the owner and his wife were so amazingly welcoming. I also had a whole pot of tea for £2. There are other fish and chip shops on the seafront but we walked back for this one because it looked the cleanest and we made the right choice! We will definitely return when in Ramsgate!

Came across this chip shop by luck as we were out late and hadn't eaten. The older gentleman behind the counter was accommodating, friendly and was great to chat with while he cooked our food. The burger and cod were top class and the owner promised us the best chips in town. He did not disappoint and we will be returning here for some of the best chips in town the next time we are in Ramsgate. Great value for money and top class service. Thanks
