Palm Bay Fish Bar in Thanet

Ordered online & was delivered really quickly. Good quality fish & chips, cod was medium, but huge! Loads of chips & burger was good, we forgot the cheese as not included.. Fairly pricey with delivery charge etc but was very nice. Think they could do free sauce as everything costs.

Been here a few times now and one bad review made me post this. As I type my wife is on her way to collect our order, she phoned it through a few minutes ago. In these Covid times the least time in shops the better. Last weeks fish chips and curry sauce was super big portions and the curry sauce was thick and tasty. I don’t expect this weeks offering to be any different, first class.

Excellent fish chips cooked to order in super batter with really nice roe.The service was 1st class and only regret is can not go again on friday due to Coronavirus and lock down. Hope they manage to get through ok as will definitely use again.ps tea is also good

What a superb experience! We were told it was the best fish & chip restaurant in Margate and that was no exaggeration. Four of us in our party - two haddock and chips, one rock and chips and one cod and chips - all four cooked to perfection and served at the same time. Side salad excellent - and luscious mushy peas!Staff were really friendly and everything we wanted was provided. Best of all, the prices were really good and extremely competitive. Indeed, it would certainly be possible to pay far more for far less elsewhere near the sea and, although most people would need to travel here by car, it is well worth the effort of doing so.Well done - we hope to return in the future.

We had read in our holiday cottage visitor book that this fish and chip shop was worth visiting. So we decided to pay it a visit and we were not disappointed the food and service was fantastic really tasty food

Hands down the best chippy we have tried in Margate. Excellent quality fish and perfectly cooked chips all for a very reasonable cost. Great service too. Give it a go and see for yourself!

Don’t know why any one would give a bad review. The chips are the best chips Ive ever had. Every time I’m in Palm Bay I have to go and get these chips. The staff are NOT lazy and quite honestly it’s so clean in there you could eat the chips off the floor. Look forward to my next visit. Love it and can’t wait to actually have a sit down cod, chips and salad

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The fish and chips were cooked while we waited and the food was, naturally, piping hot. The fish was perfectly cooked and the chips were great!. We have been there several times so it just proves how good the food is.

The Palm Bay Fish Bar on Summerfield Road is terrific! I just happened to find it because I went shopping at the Co-Op just down the row. It was a brilliant find ... a had delicious cod and chips ... with a side of mushy peas ... Yum! I will be going back and back again as long as I am on holiday here. A recently opened takeaway/restaurant which heralds a 5* FSA rating is nice to see plus a fast service and pleasant staff. Prices are reasonable too.

We have recently moved to Palm Bay and on moving day called in for 2 fish and chips, I have to say my wife and I were very impressed with the food and quality of service. Will definitely be using again. Highly recommended.

My friend who lives locally and I visiting from Nottinghamshire called in for haddock, chips and peas. The food was hot, delicious and good sized portions, thoroughly enjoyable. A good choice of food is available together with a couple of vegetarian options. Can eat in or take out, we chose to take away. Small, clean dining area with high chairs for little ones, a small clean toilet to the rear of the premises. Not been open long but I am sure Ali and staff will provide customers with good, value for money food. I will return in a few months.

when i visited the palmbay fish bar they gave me half cold chips and sausage please avoid lazy staff avoid avoid avoid

Thought we’d give it a try as it’s just round the corner and I can safely say I’ve found my new local cafe, nice and clean inside and a good menu, all well cooked and in good time, a great asset to the local shops

Tried this shop for the first time last weekend and have to say I was amazed. The food was lovely. Fresh and cooked to your order. The fish didn't even fit on my plate as it was so big!!!! The staff were very friendly. Would 100% recommend this shop

Went in there as they are new chippy so dicede to give it a try what lovely experience it was all our food cook to order friendly staff amazing they also have breakfast menu as well we went there lunch time wife had full English breakfast I had fish and chips highly recommended
