The best restaurants in England

Please have the directions on google maps fixed and put the boards on the streets near the entry path or people get lost. I did not get a chance to enjoy what I saw on reviews as the kitchen was closed early.

Booked here for the first time. The food, especially the starters, was excellent. It was well presented and all delicious. Nice to have warm plates. The service was spot on, all requests catered for. Highly recommend this restaurant. We will certainly be back. Although it was a Monday which is normally quiet there were a number of other diners.

Been going to the Cumin Lounge for many years but wanted to write a review as we went yesterday and it really highlighted what a superb place it is! The restaurant was super busy and I didn’t pre book, however, they went out of their way to organise us a table. As always the service is excellent, the staff are friendly and as a regular over the years we’ve come to know them reasonably well, it has a homely feel where you are catching up with old friends as much as being treated to a great restaurant experience. The nice thing is they were like this way back when, and treat new and old customers in the same way, it’s one of the reasons we go back here time after time, and actually they are an asset in the local community not just for their food but also the time and effort they put into giving something back through support of local events or offering prizes for fundraisers etc. The food itself is exceptionally good, the only place I’ve had a better curry is in Chennai, India! We shared a special meat starter for 2 and the kids had chicken cheese balls which was all tasty and there is plenty of it. Mains were chicken desi and cumin special for us, 2 of the tastiest dishes on the menu, and a chicken korma and a murgh bahar- our kids go-to milder dish choices. I usually have the lamb Karhai but fancied a change and was not disappointed. The flavours are brilliantly put together, I cannot recommend their dishes highly enough, I think over the years I’ve had just about everything from their menu, the nice thing is they can tailor it to your needs too, for example if you want something spicier or milder, or extra peppers or tomatoes etc nothing is too much trouble to arrange. We had mushroom rice and peshwari naan to compliment the dishes, both are perfectly prepared every time. We rounded off the evening in the bar area with a Limoncello and a rum and coke, a nice end to another great evening here. Overall this is a must visit venue for great food and great service in nice surroundings and a vibrant atmosphere. Well done guys keep up the great work!!

The Black star was fantastic for Christmas day Lunch. Could not fault the food and dessert staff very friendly and efficient would highly recommend. Thank you Andy Maria and the team for a wonderful time . 100%.

I have been here a few times now and I am never disappointed. Firstly the staff aways offer such a warm welcome. A lovely young man called Connor looked after my friend and I last week and couldn't do enough for us. The food is fab and the three for two offer is great especially when there are so many lovely dishes to choose from. We will definitely be back.

Visited Indiluxe for a birthday celebration and would recommend it to everyone. Fantastic service, food and atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, we were looked after by the attentive staff who went above and beyond what we expected. Thanks everyone for giving us all the best night. Will definitely be returning!

Despite not having exactly what we wanted (item on blackboard was not available as stated), the rest of the food was as good as always but what made this particular visit special was our waiter, Reese. So good to have somebody with a bit of an edge that has banter and fun and sarcasm etc. he is a keeper.

Been eating here for a few years now as they do the best gluten free fish and chips in the area. Carol normally serves me and she's always so thorough, and the staff who answer the phones to book in your order are attentive and always ask about allergies. The place is clean and bright, often busy (but thats a good sign of quality and they tend to have plenty of staff on) It's advised to call ahead because of how busy they are, but you still have to queue when you get there as they don't have an express line. All in all it's a great experience with great staff and wonderful food.

First time here and clearly it is a very lively and popular venue. Quality of food was excellent with generous portions. Staff were attentive and all courses arrived in a timely manner - at least up until dessert where after we seemed to become invisible as numerous staff members breezed past as we tried to order after-dinner coffee and a little later as we wanted to pay. Hopefully it was just because you were super-busy that night. Nonetheless, looking forward to coming back and trying some more of the delicious menu items!

Great visit today, we very much enjoyed our coffees and lunch. The fish soup was truly excellent, so was the crab and prawn sandwich. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food and location. I will look forward to going back in the future 10/10

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were nice but dissapointed paying 5 pounds for a tiramasu that was dry and tasted like the cream had gone off
