Swirls in Warwick

We rocked up with 2 large families with young children. The staff were very friendly. Most of us had hot chocolates, and they were probably the best tasting hot chocolates we've had in a long time. And very reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again and recommend.

Wanting a little snack lunch we went into Swirls which was clean and had nicely presented snacks on offer. Hot or cold, savoury or sweet and served with a smile it was a good experience

A great venue. Well presented with clean decor. Customer service is great 👍 and the staff are always pleasant and friendly. Coffee and food is well priced and very delicious 😋 love 💓 it here!

Been here a few times now and it’s becoming my go to place. The food is excellent and the ice cream amazing. Real gelato. Nice and relaxed with really friendly staff who are very helpful. Highly recommended for a coffee / lunch in your own or with family. My 3 year old loves it as does my wife.

Staff were utterly unhelpful, mediocre at best. It looks really nice but proved to be an underwhelming experience. Not worth your effort.

Our first ever visit on Sunday after visiting the market on the Parade. Excellent coffee and choice of cakes. Service was good and prices very reasonable. Only comment would be that the tables needed wiping down. The place was quiet so someone should have done this. However, we will be back!

I’m not one to leave reviews, however this cafe in the heart of Leamington Spa is utterly delightful. I visited with my two grand daughters for an afternoon treat of coffee and few ice-creams. I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely decor and the very welcoming staff. Although the staff seemed to be young, they were very professional and the service was top notch. They were excellent with my grand daughters who took a while to decide what ice-cream to have from the large selection on show. The ice-cream is not cheap, but it is definitely worth the money and I’d advise anyone to take a trip to Swirls! We will be back!

We started with a wonderful toasted sandwich of ham and cheese and followed it by a waffle and chocolate ice cream. This was all served very quickly in wonderful surroundings - beautifully decorated with a lovely floor of individual tiles. The person who served us was very pleasant and chatty and he helped make the our short stay a very pleasurable one. The ice cream is terrific - if you're in Leamington don't miss this delight.

My partner and I have been regular visitors to Swirls for the past three years when I visit him in Leamington. However we were very shocked at the service we received today. Firstly we were told the waffle machine was not working so we decided to order the banana crepe instead to which we were told there was no banana ice cream. In the end we ordered a crepe with fresh banana which had no bananas when we received it. My partner asked the young lady who made our crepe if we could have the banana added to our crepe to which she huffed at and gave us a small plate with separate chopped banana! Then we realised the crepe was completely raw, thick and inedible. In the end we just left as we felt like an inconvenience to the staff. This was a very disappointing experience as we loved visiting Swirls for their amazing desserts and fresh ice cream over the years. We will not be going back here and I would recommend Creams instead.

The flavours are good here, a little pricey but then again the flavours are not all your normal. I had the salted caramel and my friend had mint- both were lovely. Tried the jaffa cake as it looked cool but omg all we could taste was the bitterness from the peel, would have liked to had it had it been sweet!

Called in for gelato and coffee after my daughters latest Orthondists appointment which is nearby. On a previous visit the gelato was good and it was again (although not as good as Maia Gelato in Rugby). The service however was slow and not friendly. We waited at the counter for a good while whilst the lady was making a waffle. Although she saw us there was no I will be with you in a minute just ignored us. A gentleman then appeared from out the back and served my daughter and I. No smile or chat, more like we were an inconvenience. A shame. No doubt will visit on next Orthondists appointment when hopefully the welcome will be better.

If you like fresh home made gelato and waffles this is the place to be. We go here a couple of times a month at least. The people who run it and serve you are efficient helpful and friendly, the place is always nice and clean. The food is consistently good, we have tried many similar places but none measure up to swirls. A must go place if your into deserts.

I went with my daughter for a coffee and late morning snack and we decide on Swirls. Looked good, so we went in. Lots of fun treats on the menu, so I ordered a Cream Tea (coffee and scone) and my daughter ordered a crepe. There were a few people before us, so the wait was a few minutes, but nothing to long. However, when the food came, it arrived at different times. First my coffee, then a few minutes late my scone and then finally my daughter's crepe. My coffee and scone (with jam, cream and butter) was OK although the presentation wasn't great. However, the crepe, even though covered in Nutella and Bananas as requested the crepe itself was burnt / crispy, and so did not roll. It didn't taste that good either. We were hoping for much more, as it does look good on the outside, kept fairly clean and the staff are friendly but the food ordered did not live up to our expectations. Maybe we'll go for the ice cream only next time!

I met with a friend here and took my 6 month old baby boy . The staff were extremely friendly and well-mannered, showing me where to tuck my pram and the space where my baby could play. I also told them I was on Weight Watchers and so they made a low-fat toastie option for me . really impressed !

Lovely place, very cosy a and nice seating and arrangement. Owner is very nice and accommodating. Had a good little joke and chat with him and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Also very good prices and great, freshly made desserts. Definitely going again next time we’d like a dessert

We popped in here one evening after a meal out. The chap behind the counter was very friendly, offering us tasters of the ice cream. I had Mars flavour ice cream, my husband had After Eights, son - salted caramel and grandchildren - bubblegum. It was all absolutely delicious. Good value too. Well worth a visit.

We’ve been here many times for Ice Cream in the day time but this visit was around 6pm as we wanted pudding after not having a great meal else where.

Amazing little place in leamington spa. Visiting with friends from Dublin... will be coming here again when back

Went with my wife and son for a quick lunch, we all had crepes which were superb. We were greeted by the owner as soon as we entered and made to feel welcome. Highly recommended.

I visited with my 3 young children who were very much looking forward to their pudding treat. I'm so pleased swirls didn't let me down. As a first time customer is definitely go back. The young man behind the counter was very polite. We ordered 3 waffles and another gentleman made a point of coming over and letting us know he only has 1 machine if it's ok to bring the dish out as it's ready ... which I thought was good . I'd support family business any time. My children were happy which is the main thing. Well done swirls I'll be back! :)

My wife and I love coming to this place because it's a nice family owned business, which means they actually care about customer service (which is good, people are really friendly).

Food was good, but service was really bad. We came as a group of 4 and a couple, that had arrived about 10 mins after us, got there food first. Without being prompted the wait or said "we're bringing yours out all together". The couple had finished there food before our cold waffles came out, separately. The staff didn't apologise or offer us anything for the inconvience.

slightly off the beaten track, friendly servers, good quality gelato, flavours not too exciting average prices, some seating outside, coffee and snacks available, this is now our parlour of choice

What good find. The staff are extremely friendly and the gelato is second to none. Worth a visit and would definitely go again.

Been here many times and i love their ice cream. Many choices of flavour to choose from, this sunday had: pop corn, lemon merinque and nutella:) shared it with my husband who also very like to visit Swirls! Good size of scoops. Friendly staff. I love that the ice cream are made upstairs:) will be comming back for sure! Thank you for making yummy ice cream. If possible would love it if there was a choice of icecream made of coconut cream:)

I like the environment here because normally ice cream cafes are overloaded with screaming children however I find this very adult focused. The gelato is very good quality. I would give a 5/5 but I find it slightly over priced.

Called at Leamington spa for a quick break on way home down south found Swirls absolutely smashing gelato and staff very friendly.will certainly call again if in that area.

When we visit Leamington Spa, Swirls is our special treat. Best ice cream, waffles to die for and delicious crepes too. My children (age 9, 10 and 12) love coming here. The staff are so friendly and the restaurant is bright, cheerful and fun.

Visited at 8pm after an early Saturday night dinner in town. Perfect place to go for dessert, ice cream or coffee after dining out; great it’s open late. Such a warm welcome and ice cream and ice lollies are delicious- try before you buy if you aren’t sure which flavour is for you.

This is a jewel of a place, the ice cream is expertly made with a great array of flavours all expertly made, my favourite at the moment is apple pie. The service is friendly and helpful. Eat in or take away the choices are delicious and they serve great coffee.

Great to find an independent ice cream/coffee shop and one that doesn't charge exorbitant prices. Have been there twice now and found a genuine friendliness from the staff on each occasion.

Long queue to wait on a sunny day, but when we bought what we liked, didnt get disappointed :) delicious and various sizes vailable!

Another lovely visit. It's great this place is open late so you can come here for desert after a meal out. We had ice cream , coffee and cake which were all delicious. Super friendly service and doesn't break the bank.

My fiancee and I stayed in Leamington Spa and Popped into Swirls for a drink and a bite to eat. What a little gem this place is. Food was great, service excellent and the place was lovely. Spotless clean and decorated great. Highly recommend here!

Passed by over the weekend and had to go in, really friendly staff, good prices for hand made ice cream, would definitely recommend the salted caramel and the pistachio!

I took my son here as an end of term treat and I can honestly say the man who served us went above and beyond. My son was very excited about having his pancake with maple syrup and Nutella. Long story short my son loves doing it himself but it had already been done so the man very kindly made him another exactly how he wanted it without us even having to ask.

OK, Leamington has a couple of ice cream parlours now, but we keep returning back to this one. Again, and again and again. This place has three key things going for it:

Went as a family of four and all tried different flavours. All were lovely. Not expensive either. Thoroughly recommend this place!

Really lovely staff and delicious gelato. Our first time here and will be back. They do more than just gelato.....crepes, panini, cake, coffee would be great to see this unique local eatery being well supported by leamingtonians and visitors.

The ice cream here is delicious and flavoursome. We always find it difficult to decide which one to opt for. Our favourites are usually the peanut/snickers/chocolate/caramel flavoured ones as well as the vanilla and diary. We are regulars here and don't necessarily wait for the sun to shine before visiting.

Visited Swirls with family from Chicago including kids. They lady made us some great toasted sandwiches and paid every attention to detail expected amd was very welcoming and friendly. My family from the US really went away with a genuine feel of amazing UK customer service

Wonderful range of exciting flavors of gelato. Friendly service. Not a great deal of seating but it is ok. My kids love it as a treat.

Great gelato, cracking flavours. Apple pie, salted caramel and tiramisu in particular go down a treat.

Popped into Swirls as I was passing and had a few minutes in hand. Was glad I had as the coffee was good, staff friendly and coffee was brought to my table rather than having to balance bag, coat, umbrella and coffee and then find a seat. The ice cream looks superb and a Star Wars fan at a nearby table demolished every last bit

OK, this is going to be simple. It's an ice cream parlour, with some seating and the option to also buy hot drinks. But fundamentally its all about the ice cream. But whats more, its possibly the best ice cream with 100 miles! The texture, the taste and a variety is to sample and behold.

We actually went in search of this place after seeing someone walking down the street with an amazing ice cream.... I asked them where it was from :-)

We thought this looked interesting place for lunch. We ordered coffee and toasted sandwiches. The coffee was good, we ordered macchiato expecting something larger so that was our fault.

Not sure what is happening in Leamington but their are now 4 plus places to go for ice cream .... but this place is the best. Good quality ice cream - excellent coffee if you are over teen years / don't fancy an ice cream.

We stopped at Swirls for a coffee, after being enticed inside by the 'Kimbo' coffee sign outside on the pavement. I was previously introduced to Kimbo by an Italian friend, so I knew that Swirls were using top quality coffee.

There were some very tempting new flavours to try on our latest visit and they were delicious as always. My favourite is still the salted caramel though!

I visit this cafe every time I visit leamington with my friend, she's from Worcestershire and I'm from Oxfordshire and this is where we meet. Finally sampled the ice cream on our visit which is incredible, deliciously creamy and homemade on site in true Italian fashion with every flavour you have and haven't imagined. Also delicious toasties, crepes and the best hot choc for miles. No faults, absolutely love this cafe!

Swirls has a quaint atmosphere with booths, high stools or regular tables to sit at. The gelato is lovely and creamy with flavours changed regularly, but also all-time favourites remain staples ie salted caramel, coconut, and chocolate to name a few. The staff are lovely and they offer savoury and sweet crepes, waffles, cakes and other deserts. They also offer a variety of coffees.

The ice cream is amazing with some fantastic flavours. The cafe is lovely with crepes, waffles, soup, coffee etc as well as ice cream. Well worth a visit if you are in Leamington.

Staff here are brilliant. Really pleasant and helpful. The food is really decent as well, lovely place to stop in for a coffee and a crepe or ice cream (the ice cream range is awesome). Really thoroughly recommend it!

We happened to stumble upon this shop. The staff were very welcoming and recommended very good flavours! We had a good time and our two little children loved the bubblegum gelato. Will definitely be coming back again for more gelatos.

Great ( as always) but only one thing it took an extremely long time to cook a crepe. We were waiting for about fifteen minutes, but it was delicous.

Been a few times and always recommend it to friends and family that are visiting. Ice cream is always delicious and has a range of flavours in. I love that the ice cream is made on premises using traditional methods, makes a deliciously smooth ice cream. Remember you can ask to try a bit before you choose if you are indecisive like me!

Agreed to treat my darlings to a waffle breakfast. We walked into swirls and the manager (lady) was so friendly (and patient!) whilst my children decided on their feast. The cafe is so tastefully decorated (no pun intended!) and the children were so happy with their waffles and experience. The manager was just lovely - will definitely return.

I am still sitting whilst writing this, savouring the amazing flavours still on my tongue.

Best ice cream in Leamington. Made on the premises, using fresh local produce where possible. Friendly helpful staff. Plenty of choice. Will call again soon.

I have walked past this Café several times and assumed it was just an Ice Cream Parlour as the outdoor sign indicates. However, I did take a look at the menu and noticed they offered Italian Coffee and sandwiches etc., so I tried it!

This place is amazing! Fresh, delicious and flavoursome gelato at a very reasonable price. Lots of choices of ice cream and there are other options on the menu from coffee and milkshakes to sweet and savoury crepes. The cafe is really attractive and provides comfortable surroundings, plus Swirls is open late too, which is brilliant. The member of staff was very friendly. Great place to go.

Good variety of flavours, open late Fridays and Saturdays. Even sell tubs to take home.

This was the tastiest ice-cream that I've had for a very long time. It looked so good in the display cabinet that I became very indecisive. However, I eventually made my choice and was not disappointed! It was quite delicious.

We had breakfast crepes (ham & cheese and salmon & cream cheese), which were really tasty. Dessert crepes were also really nice. The staff was really friendly and the prices are reasonably low. Would recommend.

I believe all their ice cream is made in the back of the shop which is nice.My only complaint is with my ice cream I had toffee pieces and they were really hard.

Quite simply, utterly delicious! Gelato is made on premises and is fabulous! Choice of over 20 mouth-watering flavours from Snickers to Strawberry or Candy Floss to Cherry. Make a meal of it with savoury snacks and crepes followed by gargantuan waffles or crepes smothered in cream and sauce or keep it simple with a mixed tub of Gelato - if you're in Leamington Spa make it a priority destination - we are going back as soon as we can!

I didn't realize this ice cream parlour made it in the premises till we went in, chose from mind numbing array of delicious choices then say down to tuck in. The owner came over apologizing for the wait ( we hadn't noticed) and would we like to sample the real strawberry ice cream he'd just made. You betcha... And it tasted of real strawberries!!! Not surprisingly very popular with after school crowd...

I visited Swirls today, Thursday, May 12, 2016, with a business colleague for gelato after our lunch. While the store is intimate and can fill-up easy, its ice cream bar provides a good selection of gelato to choose from. We selected the Orange Jaffa, Chocolate Mint and Salted Caramel - all of where were terrific. You have the choice of cone or cup, and it comes with a wafer. The ice cream was really good and flavourful. Two cones with multiple flavours was £4. I would recommend and return if in the area.

Such a lovely place. Friendly staff, lots of seating and delicious ice cream - what more could you want? The salted caramel is amazing. There are actually real bits of salt in there! A must -try when in Leamington.

I visted with a friend in passing looking 2 get a bite to eat we ordered cheese & ham toastie which was tasty I also had some snickers ice cream which was amazing I deffo want to revisit to try some of the other ice creams & A coffee too would highly recommend

We love Swirls - it has the most amazing flavours I've ever tried and we love the fact that we can drop in after having dinner out for a lovely pudding on the way home because of their late opening hours. Try the Ferero Rocher or salted caramel if they have them!

We visited as family today to try the ice cream. As the 3rd and most recent ice cream shop in Leamington we were keen to give it a try. So glad we did it was lovely. The decor was quaint and unfussy with a 'seaside holiday cafe' air to it. Good use of space with a variety of table sizes, benches and large barrels to sit at which the kids loved. Lovely coffee, generous portions of cake and icecream. The ice cream was especially good - lots of favourite flavours and a few more interesting ones like chocolate orange and lime cheesecake. Patient service with the kids able to try a flavour before we bought it - always a risk with something that can be varied like chocolate ice cream (which can be a bit strong for kids sometimes). We had a relaxing sit down, a generous portion of quality ice cream and left happy.

I love this place! The ice cream is original, the flavours very tasty and best of all, it's home made! And, the try before you choose approach helps you to find a great combo (the salted caramel is to die for!).

Fantastic place for a yummy treat! Member of staff was very friendly and allowed the 3 year old with us to try a couple of flavours to see which she wanted.

We popped in for lunch. We both had a toastie/sarnie, hot chocolate and slice of cake. Although not much choice on sandwich fillings they were lovely, came out very quickly and toasted to perfection. The toppings with the hot chocolates were plentiful. The slices of cake were huge we could easily have shared one between us, so were the waffles which a neighbouring table ordered. Could see a great selection of ice cream flavours. Would definitely visit again if having lunch/snack in town.

The ice cream may be great - we didn't try it. We had coffee and cake, but the cake was awful and left on the plate. If somebody is in your café and doesn't eat your food, which they've paid for, wouldn't you want to know why? As it happens, it was carrot cake which was dry and tasted of marzipan.

Lovely place, the waffles and ice cream is delicious. Great coffee and friendly staff. The portion sizes are good and the prices are fair.

The gelato is amazing! The only place I have had gelato this good is in Italy. The salted caramel flavour is my favourite.

If you like ice cream then go no further this is the real deal just like the Italians do so well. Even on a winters day it's worth dropping in - Friendly and yummy!

Friday night and a late shop, what better to have than waffles and ice cream. Best ice cream I've had in years, reminds me of the Italian ice cream I used to have in London 20 years ago. Will definitely return such a wide variety of flavours, Oreo, Ferrero, Cookies over 12 more!

Had the salted caramel ice cream, it was the best ice cream I've tasted! Also is nicely furnished and the service was very friendly!

A wonderful newish addition to Leamington. Lovely fresh decor, welcoming staff, very good coffee and a wide range of traditional gelato, made in-house. Crepes and more on the inviting menu - we will be returning!

This place is amazing. Lovely decor. Great ice cream (I have a toddler so have been to everywhere in Leam that serves ice cream) nice Illy coffee and smoothies aren't bad either. We now go most weeks :)

Yummy ice cream! Had a lovely staff member who allowed us to try a few flavours before we selected our choices! The ice cream is made just above the shop which I think is brilliant. The decor is fun. A really lovely addition to Leamington Spa.
