Friendly welcoming pub, a bit off the beaten track but worth a visit. Good menu with well cooked food at very competitive prices. Fish and chips were very good for the price. Recommended.

Fantastic friendly staff and really good food

Pleasantly surprising, given the pub's past reputation. Visited for a pre-Christmas Sunday roast with some friends who are moving to the area and wanted to check out their future local. The staff were very friendly and chatty, the food was excellent, and there was plenty of it - huge portions, excellent value for money. Making down to 4 stars only because the staff were still getting used to the place, having recently reopened, but I'm sure they'll be up to speed soon.

The food is excellent at Monty’s. Just ate the festive dinner (roast turkey and ham with all the trimmings). Big portions and top quality food. Great service and friendly staff. Highly recommended. Will definitely go back.

We've been in to eat a couple of times since the recent change of management and kitchen staff. The new menu is good, well cooked and decent value. The rib eye steak was a good choice, and it would be nice to see the brisket burger on the Christmas menu stay on the menu after the holidays. It's also good to see the pub opening on some mornings for breakfast and coffee.

We had a fabulous NYE at the Monty with a great atmosphere and excellent music. The landlords are very friendly and really try to make you feel welcome.

It's a nice enough village pub. Done it up nice inside, staff are great and price is fair but food is average at best. Burgers are poor and salads are ok.

Lovely little pub, welcomed us in as we awaited a resolution to our car problems. Not serving food as stops at 8 but offered to whip up a lamb donar for us anyway. Fantastic service and although we didn't eat the coffee and hot chocolate were amazing so can only presume the food would be too! Thanks

It's my mum and dad's local for their village, and they go about twice a month. I ordered draft cider and it was good.

Went this Saturday, great music, great atmosphere, great time. This is what a pub should be!

Mi hermano me llevé a mi marido y a mi cena de cumpleaños - un curry indio - ambos tuvimos un pollo al curry Jalfrezi - que mi hermano tenía también. Por desgracia, el curry era tan caliente que podría haber sido confundido con un Vindaloo. Irónicamente cuando pedimos, nos preguntó cómo picante caliente que era probable que para ser y nos dijeron que si es demasiado caliente siempre puede tomar algo de yogurt. Cuando las comidas llegó mi hermano probado y dijo que es demasiado caliente y dónde está el yogur? Él no es enclenque! Ellos trajeron debidamente, pero aún así no reducen el calor masiva en el curry. Finalmente la esposa de mi hermano era la única para disfrutar de su curry diferente y nos preguntaron cómo la comida era? Nos dijeron que ellos de nuestra decepción.

Ahora Barracks bar llamado pero más comúnmente conocida por los lugareños como 'El Monty', el pub ha sufrido en los últimos años con una disminución en la costumbre, ajenos lugareños y por la falta de atmósfera. Cuando los dueños actuales tardaron más completamente destruyó el lugar con una reforma y ha reinventado como el cuartel Bar. Ahora los lugareños están comenzando a regresar, el ambiente ha mejorado y están haciendo lo que me han contado es muy buena comida india. Aunque creo que es una pena que como un pub del pueblo que no dejes que los perros en el jardín de la cerveza más. Como un propietario de perro, probablemente más tiempo para encontrar el lugar si esto se invirtió.

El "Monty recientemente reformado"

Hemos comido comida india dos veces desde 'El Barracks Bar'. La primera vez que comimos en el restaurante y la segunda vez que utilizaban el/pizzería servicio de recogida. Puedo decir sinceramente, es la más fresca comida india que he probado. Carne muy bien cocinados (cordero) y el arroz de coco fue mullidas y tenía un sabor agradable. Mi esposa a veces pueden conseguir la reacción extraña a algunas especias indias, pero también dijo que es la mejor comida de Aisian ella es tenido. Absolutamente magnífico.

Este local tiene ahora Bean renovado y ahora se llama "los cuarteles bar". He de decir que me era escéptico que todavía un aspecto descuidado viejo pobres hombres del pub, pero estaba equivocado. Mi familia decidió darle un vistazo y nos sorprendió gratamente. El pub ahora deportes un restaurante indio durante la semana y un asador el domingo. Tuvimos una gran variedad de platos indios, que no estaban secos o fina, o sosa o demasiado calor. Pero de hecho la mejor comida asiática que he tenido. El pollo estaba húmeda y el arroz perfecto. Podría seguir todo el día diciendo que lo bueno que era, pero déjame decirte , todas mis comentarios en Tripadvisor han sido malas, la única excepción . Estoy con ganas de probar la cena del domingo. La decoración es de un refinado ambiente acogedor mientras que las familias y el personal es muy agradable y servicial. No es el menú más barato pero si buscas ese tipo de comida entonces no sería leyendo esto. Bien bar lassi de barracas y espero que están haciendo algo especial para los veteranos día .

New restaurant just opened in this pub. Absolutely fantastic food, few teething problems with service but sure they will be ironed out.
