That staff’s got a proper bad attitude, treating customers like rubbish. The food’s dry and tasteless, quality’s a shambles. Opening hours are all over the place, and you’re waiting forever just to get served.

Gave this place 3 tries amidst the high reviews. Think I’m done being patient and understanding if it’s just an off day with such a horrible attitude from the owner. Food was delicious. But the attitude from the male owner absolutely stings and will not stand. Condescending, confrontational, absolutely uncalled for troll-like to a polite customer who came in looking for dinner and had not expected the need to defend themselves in a pointless argument with a complete stranger. Very limited set menu and for the full menu you must scan a qr code in an area with bad signals. Restaurant does not provide WiFi for you to connect in order to take a look at their full menu, nor did they bother to print out a hard copy to show to customers. All in all, better to take your custom elsewhere if you want to avoid a confrontational stranger out of nowhere and end up leaving in a foul mood.

The place was short staffed but when the food came it was well worth the wait. The noodle dishes were authentic and absolutely delicious.

There's a rude and picky bloke in the restaurant. The opening hours are confusing. The owner reckons it's posh, but it's actually a low-end joint that's rude to customers and tries to boss them around. The smelly male owner has no clue, he pretends to be a high-end restaurant, he has many picky regulations on customers, and the business hours are chaotic. It is the first choice for people who want to be upset and waste money.

An outstanding Taiwanese food restaurant in Portsmouth! Highly recommended beef noodles and Hainan chicken rice, very soft texture with the beef and chicken, you will be amazed with the beef noodle soup with no doubt, definitely will come back again!

There is a delicious set menu, and the side dishes are even more exquisite. Steamed fish and garlic vermicelli shrimp are both must-orders. They are made with care. It is a conscientious restaurant. The place is clean and the price is reasonable. The boss also offers group buying of dumplings.

The inside is quite basic so bear this in mind. Food was very nice, I had the smashed cucumber, beef stew and iced coffee. Very authentic flavour. Beef was extremely soft and round noodles were great. I highly recommend and I hope they bring more dishes to the menue.

Small and quiet restaurant, but very good food. Small selection of dishes, but authentic Taiwanese fare with a home-cooked feel. Definitely recommended.

Beef noodle soup is good. Prices for the set meal is good, very affordable. There were only few options left when we went there. Hopefully you have more stock for the other options and that it will be served quicker next time 🙂

I’ve been meaning to eat at this unassuming little place for years. The food was fabulous and did not disappoint. The smashed cucumbers are worth the trip alone - it’s not often you grab the bowl and drink all the dressing. The soup base in my beef brisket was rich and unctuous, the shrimp dumplings were fabulous as was the chicken ho fun. Also, all the noodles are handmade and you get to choose which ones to have in your soup. The owner is a lovely man and the food excellent value. I can’t wait to go back. I’ve given 3 stars for atmosphere as it was very quiet….it was us and one other couple, we were eating quite early though, but who cares when the food is this good. Thank you Sir!

Definitely the best Taiwanese beef noodles I ever had in the UK. Five different type of noodles of your choice. The soup base was superb, NO msg added. Very reasonable price £11 including main+side+drink. Recommend to anyone who miss or would like to try the taste of HongKong or Taiwan!

When there are 5 kinds of noodles for you to choose from, you can tell this restaurant got hearts on its food. They also got 3 different flavors of the soup and we ordered one of each. They all taste unique with their own character, which is beyond our expectations. The Plum Juice Tomatoes as an appetizer is so refreshing that you could seldom find them in the UK. Family business worth to be supported while visiting Portsmouth (:

Authentic beef noodle soup, its braised beef is perfectly done and the broth is with strong and rich flavour. The set menu is very reasonably priced (£11 with a noodle, snack and drink) and the quality is superb. Definitely a hidden gem in Portsmouth and mustn’t be missed!

I have been to there with my whole family today. So far this is the best Taiwanese beef noodle I have ever tasted. My 3.5 year old son has been urging for authentic beef noodle for a long time, and he can even finished the whole big bowl of noodle himself. The boss Mr Chan is very nice to introduce us around Portsmouth, his story and life in Uk. Very talkative! The food is very outstanding. Must reserve a meal there if visiting Portsmouth next time. 香港人加油！老細都加油！

Visited this restaurant recently, very authentic Hong Kong style food. The Sichuan style spicy beef shin is tasty and you will definitely love it. Deep fired beef shrank is crispy outside but tender inside, definitely one of the must try items. The pan fired gyoza tastes exactly the same as you eat in Hong Kong. Will visit again.

Have looked everywhere for Authentic Haianese chicken in UK and this is as real as it gets. Also the Hong Kong styled milk tea was exactly like I remember working in Hong Kong. We had a popcorn chicken we shared which was also very tasty. Looking forwards to trying everything on the menu now! New favourite place.

Second-time visit within 3 days, this newly opened restaurant not just serves Taiwanese and Asian food, but also serves traditional (Authentic) Hong Kong-style food. They also have Traditional HK style Milk-Tea (with/without bubble). Their Taiwanese beef noodle soup, salt & pepper beef is a must-have and spicy stir-fried whelk. Delicious food and great atmosphere. The owners were accomodating to our diatery requirements. If you like seafood (scallops, clams, prawns) that's the place to be. Prices are good and service is great. You will feel welcomed as we did.

Authentic Hong Kong taste, made by real Hong Konger

The braised beef noodles are really delicious! It’s really rare to be able to eat Taiwanese beef noodles in the UK. The black pepper razor clams are really delicious, juicy and fresh! This seasonal stir-fried squid is made with shredded vegetables and shrimp paste, which is really a Hong Kong flavor! Totally overjoyed! Braised beef brisket in soup with noodles is very delicious. It is great to taste this traditional Taiwan dish in the UK. Stir-fried Razor Clams with black bean sauce is excellent! Very juicy and fresh! Stir-fried vegetable with squid is using the watch spinach (which is the vegetable not easy to find in the UK) and the shrimp paste sauce. It is really the Hong Kong style! Really better than what I expected! I probably will go again!

Tasty food not the ordinary take away Chinese. You can have to dishes that you actually have in Hong Kong. They are running a set menu atm. I think deep fried chicken wings is very nice. Very nice ppl! Will go there again. The only thing is maybe they need a little heater in the shop. Cuz it’s a little bit too cold while you sit there for a while in this season.
