Very good value food which was extremely filling, fresh and delicious. First visit, won't be the last and looking forward to going again.

Went for my birthday last week, ordered the chicken ramen, spring rolls and fried chicken. It was one of the best ramen broths I've come across, you can also take-out too which is avaliable walk-in. Whilst waiting for our food, the atmosphere was calm and quiet, a peaceful place even with a few crowds. Price was great considering wagamama would've been double if we were to have gone there. Give a try :)

Came today with my 3 year old. He had ramen, I requested the soup to be separate so we could add less of it to his noodles. They also kept his veg separate. It was perfect for him as he was able to add exactly what he wanted. They also gave him an adapter to go on the top of the chopsticks to help him use them. He was delighted! I’ve never seen him eat so much, it went down a hit. The food was great, service was great, atmosphere great. Only went in on a whim but will definitely be back.

If you love Japanese food, and haven't dined here yet, you MUST! Lovely and friendly staff, fast service, airy and nice atmosphere. Very very delicious sushi! I especially love the thick and many slices of sashimi! 🤤

Average restaurant with very average food (definitely not the best Japanese food in town) and the venue is also a bit tacky. We had the sushi, ramen and curry.

The food was quite nice. We all got different dishes and everything was very flavourful. I was disappointed with the sushi as it used to be packed with more protein, but now it was mainly just rice. The service was terrible. The waitress Maria, was really depressing, not smiling, not friendly at all. She was very condescending with her tone. Usually as a paying customer, you'd expect good customer service in order to want to return to a restaurant. Therefore don't think I'll be returning back.

Wow! I loved everything about this place. Not pretentious, just great in every way, but especially the food!

A huge rubbish bin outside the restaurant makes the first impression very bad. Food was below average as well, definitely not from a restaurant with 4.8 review score. Both miso and shoyu ramen are too salty.

I was having a really bad day nearing the end of the University term in May and my mum came down to portsmouth to take me out for dinner. I had a prawn ramen with miso broth, the price was very reasonable and the food was amazing, fabulous taste and so homely. The green tea I ordered was so good too. Needless to say it helped me overcome the struggle I faced that day and I would recommend it a thousand times. So delicious!

Ordered takeaway, huge disappointment, ordered curry laksa, which I love. It was watery, lacking any ingredients. The 2 fish balls were cut into 3's and the smallest amount of chicken was used and no tofu, which makes the laksa. It is supposed to be thick and taste of coconut, it was just a watery soup, very disappointing.

The best fresh Sushi bar in town . Their Red Roll. Wow.... just so perfect.

Honestly the best Sushi place i found south of Bath, it is very homie inside, very comfortable, perfect for a date, business gathering, or friends enjoying a dinner out. Service was great, fast, the food leaves you speechless. Will surely come back!

All I can say is "Amazing". This is the branch of the best japanese fine dining restaurant in Malaysia. Whilst staying true their core business of delivering high quality japanese cuisine, they didn't missed the opportunity to represent south east asian country's delicacies. We drove all the way from west midlands to have our Char Koew Teow and my all time favourite Unagi Kabayaki. The char koew teow is top notch with the 'wok hey' and the unagi kabayaki was so good that it melts in my mouth. Thanks to Sammy and her team for the heart warming hospitality. Hopefully this branch will serve other missing menu like chirashi don, cod belly, salmon belly sashimi and salted grill saba fish in the future. Will come again soon.

I love this restaurant. They have their game together. Food is fantastic, The katsu chicken curry is fantastic ( my favourite) Everything served looks gorgeous and the staff are nice.

I was very pleased with the staff and quality of the food.

Kept being hesitant coming here for a while but, in a spur of a moment with my boyfriend, we came here for a last-minute and I absolutely cannot believe we didn’t come here sooner! The food was absolutely amazing, the best in Portsmouth, and the service was so lovely and quick that for the first time ever we left a tip!!! Such a great atmosphere. Just a genuine 5/5 restaurant. So worth it!

My favourite restaurant in Portsmouth. The food never gets old and the flavour never seems flat. Always excited to try a new dish there. Aburi red dragon is the star of the show.

I loved the cosy dining space of the restaurant. There was a warm and relaxing feel about being there. The service was quick and courteous and the food pricing was reasonable in my opinion. The only concern I had was the ramen I had was quite different from what I've had at other restaurants but I put that blame on myself because I'm not sure if I checked the details of the ramen before placing my order. I will definitely visit again to try another ramen and sushi rolls. It's a place I'm happy to visit again.

Lovely fresh food with clean flavours. Had mixed sashimi (raw fish) and I've eaten my fair share of raw fish in the past. Also had a dragon roll and kimchi stew. The stew was delicious without being overbearing. The beef in it was beautifully tender. I have to mention the FOH service though. This young lad on his own with an almost full restaurant on a Friday lunch. Constant smile on his face. Really attentive (noticed I'd finished my brown rice tea and topped up the water). Had a calm hustle without running or rushing. I also overheard a couple of comments from him to a couple of other tables and it seems like they have a lot of regulars. 100% will be back, and soon!

We tried out a couple of Malaysian/Singaporean, as well as Japanese dishes at this restaurant. Really loved the food, service and ambiance that we went there twice in our day in Portsmouth. The price vs portion was also good. We really loved the beef rendang, char kueh tiaw and the mee goreng mamak. Also loved the teriyaki and tempura combo set. We also ordered the Singaporean Vermicelli and Nasi Goreng, which were not bad. We were informed by our server Derek that the chicken and beef are halal. Highly recommend the restaurant.

Went to visit some friends in Hampshire during the school holiday & we all went to have dinner in Rakuzen on 18 Feb 2023, Saturday. My friends whomluves there were regular patrons there. We were a party of 10 that night. We made a reservation & upon arrival, we were told that we have 1½ for our table as they have other bookings. We were abit annoyed but as it turned out, it was enough time for us. The service given was good & quick. The menu is quite diverse & alot to choose from. The food was delicious! So, all being said, I'd love to go back again & will definitely reccomend this restaurant to anyone wanting good South East Asian food.

Went to Rakuzen for the first time today and food is amazing! The sashimi and tempura teishuku was so huge that they bought take away cartons for us to take home the leftovers (which we did!). We usually go to sakura but not anymore. Everything about Rakuzen is superior. It's very well priced, the food tastes fresh and gorgeous, it's comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back. Oh, and the yakitori skewers are to die for!

I am a vegetarian. This was the first time I tried Rakuzen. Although the options were limited, they offered to make other vegetarian dishes by replacing meat with tofu or vegetables. To be safe, I ordered soba noodles with vegetables. It was my first time having authentic soba noodles, and they were delicious. The fried tofu was amazing and my favorite dish out of everything I ordered. I also tried the caterpillar sushi roll, but when I asked if they could make a couple of other dishes vegetarian, I was told that the base sauce contained seafood. I really appreciate it when people are honest about the ingredients in their food. The restaurant has lovely paintings inside, and even though we went during a busy time, they were very accommodating and managed to find us a table. I will definitely go there again.

We just had a wonderful meal here. The food not only looked beautiful but I really enjoyed every mouthful. We didn't have to wait long at all for our food and the place was busy with both diners and orders. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Will definitely be coming back.

Located close to a busy junction which is typically known for weekend night outs, you could easily miss this place. But if you get in you will get a good range of sushi and noodles, ramen and more. The decor was simple, laid back and pleasant. Service was efficient. Food was tasty. Check it out and you won't be disappointed

Visit Portsmouth and looking for halal food. This restaurant was not in the google list if you search for ‘Halal food in Portsmouth’. However, I try to search in facebook and found 1 post regarding this restaurant did served Halal chicken and beef. We asked the owner and he confirmed it. Taste wise it meet our taste bud and taste exactly as the home country food. The turn over for the food also very fast. Totally recommended for those who looking for Halal restaurant in Portsmouth.

Today I was with family for lunch in the restaurant. Service was fantastic. Food taste amazing. One thing what restaurant can add is egg in the ramen. Restaurant is very clean,people working there very halpfull and very friendly. Definitely will be use this restaurant in future. Highly recommended. Ramen was really tasty and fresh. Sushi was amazing and fresh of course. Price for lunch for 4 adults and two kids (including drinks) was surprised. All of us think bill will be higher. If You like Japanese food I can said You need to visit this restaurant. Thanks for fantastic (and really quick) service and fabulous time with family in restaurant.

Simply my favourite restaurant. The food is amazing. The seafood and fish is fresh and impeccably cooked (the eel is heaven). I’m a big fan of Pho and ramen dishes, the hell fire stock in the ramen is Far East standard hot and is sublime. The tempuras are light and not greasy, it’s worth paying for the seafood and veg version just to taste the scallop. I always get the mixed pickles, they are a great complement. I happily travel regularly from Bognor just to eat here, I haven’t tasted better in London or the Far East for that matter. Service is immaculate, friendly, attentive but never cloying, can’t recommend this place more highly.

Fantastic site. We went for dinner for the first time by chance and the reality is that it has become one of our favorite restaurants in the city. It is a Japanese restaurant (sushi, ramen, noodles...) but it also has other Asian dishes such as pad thai. The service was impeccable and the quality of the food incredible, all of this very quickly and with generous portions. We will definitely eat there again for sure!!!❤
