We stayed a couple of doors down from this bakery and visited for breakfast on our last day. All six of us agreed that it was superb. Quality ingredients, cooked to perfection with no grease at all and really reasonably priced too. You need to book as it’s get busy and it’s a small venue but we will definitely go back. The staff were also super helpful and the service was great.
Used to go in when was the Globe, 1st time since realising it was the red lion.
Food was lovely
Couple of tweaks and would be 5 outa 5 for everything.
Attention to detail, mindful that the hot plate for carvery doesn't keep the meat hot hot,
Had to ask for dessert order to be taken. After being asked if we wanted dessert
The waiting team were friendly polite.
We will be back again.
Plates are hard to eat from and way too small for the price. In addition they have gluten free options which we asked for, but they failed to bring the gluten free version. I had a feeling this might be the case as the service was so terrible, in that we were not offered any cutlery or plates to eat from- so double checked and they admitted the plates served were not gluten free and offered no apology. There was so little food my sons had eaten everything anyway. Totally bizarre and a big waste of money and I didn’t get to eat . Service was terrible and hard to assess atmosphere if you feel frustrated at the situation anyway.
