Waiting staff are always friendly and food is great (ham + cheese toastie w chips and one of the best chocolate milkshakes I've ever had)

A disappointment. We visited one afternoon feeling peckish and ordered a light snack each. We seemed to wait an age for it to arrive. When it finally came my poached egg was broken with the yolk forming a pool on the plate. My partner’s baked potato was not of the best quality with dark grey patches inside. As our car was parked on the high street with only about 15 mins left on the parking restriction we did not have the time to wait for any replacement. We mentioned it when paying but was offered no reduction and told “we’ve had a lot of complaints recently” . We won’t be returning.

Ordered posh fish fingers and received only 3 small fish pieces, wouldn't even piece together as two normal fish fingers for 8.95! Sister ordered scampi and had 8 pieces which was fine but when we paid bill was charged for the larger portion. Didn't read menu correctly and two sizes offered but wasn't asked which size when ordering. No one came over to ask if meals OK. Absolutely no customer service when disputing bill. Cook and older staff members in kitchen area could see and hear what was being said but left to young girls to sort. No apology offered, we said we wouldn't go there again and no one responded. A lot to be said on how issues resolved as we then told a few friends of awful service who said wouldn't go there .... and then word gets around

This was an absolute gem of a find. The kitchen doing the burgers which I ate at in the evening inside Bilby's is called The Burger Shed and it was one of the best chicken burgers I've ever had, accompanied by really nice onion rings, salad and loaded chips with great sauces on top. Jack who cooked it all really is the man and should be very proud of what he produces. Service was also fantastic and all really friendly. Lexi was super lovely and the place itself was a chilled spot and done very nicely. I also had some really delicious cakes to takeaway, which are made fresh - both the coffee & walnut and chocolate cakes were brilliant. Oh and I had a local cider from Harry's, which was very nice too! I'll definitely be back and would 100% recommend. Thanks guys!

Went there for lunch with a friend and although we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table after we sat down our order was taken quickly. The food was freshly prepared and well presented, the portion size was more than ample. I would definitely recommend a visit, the menu is good and there are daily specials.

Superb little diner - the homemade cakes are a must. I had the Scampi today. I don't like tartar sauce but I cleaned the ramekin here! The addition of the Burger Shed after 4:30 is synergistic gold. If you find yourself in Crewkerne one evening, this hidden gem is worth a visit. The end room is very echoey; some soft furnishings would address that.

Friendly welcome for cyclists. Good tea and coffee, good choice of cakes including gluten-free options. Quick service to get back on the road.

Had my all time favourite apple cake with loads of custard and lovely pot of tea for one. Excellent customer service as always. All the staff looked like they were genuinely happy tobe working there smiles all around . Such good value too would highly recommend .

Not been here for while well ages. Sturdy menu and good choice home cooked options. Said allergic to mushrooms. Real positive this was double checked. Local ingredients made for a flavoursome meal all freshly prepared. Coffee good not bitter/strong. No piped droning music. Parking in town cheap. Worth a try. See access review toilets had revamp. Dogs allowed.

Popped in there on the off chance of a fry up, 2 of us went for the Full Monty and wasn't disappointed, not just a decent portion but it was quality food, cooked perfectly too

I had the Christmas in a pud from the specials board and it was absolutely delicious. Huge portion of turkey, carrots, potatoes, Brussels sprouts, pigs in blankets and cranberry sauce served inside a big Yorkshire pudding topped with thick gravy. What's not to love?

Nice atmosphere. Lovely food. Staff are welcoming and food is not over priced. Good for a cup of tea and a slice of cake or a good selection for lunch from the menu or daily board. Now with an evening burger grill. Still one of my favourite places.

Lovely place to get some tasty food, enjoimy visit

Great little cafe which is obviously much used by locals. Food was very good and freshly cooked to order. Open kitchen and it was really good to hear the chef asking calmly and politely for his assistant to do things. He's obviously a nice chap to work for. The waitresses were all smiley and efficient. My only negative is that the paintwork alongside our table was very stained an grubby. Time for a kick of paint in the back alcove ( alongside the kitchen), just to freshen it up. No qualms about the cleanliness of anything else. Would recommend. We will go again.

Went to Bilby's for the first time this morning. It was amazing! The sausage bap was delicious and my children had a slice of this panda cake which was beautiful. The 2 people who served us were so lovely! They entertained my children with magic tricks and let them help use the till being the shop keepers. They absolutely loved it. Reasonably priced with such wonderful service I fully recommend. ❤️

It was so hot on sat I was on my bike and had all riding gear on . It was nice in Bilbys. Not busy I said I need a cool drink ,so they make me a milkshake with ice cream. Nice It hit the spot .

This was a lovely cafe and obviously very popular as the first time we went they were full so we had a little wander (some great charity shops in Crewkerne), went back and were lucky enough to find a table. My dad and I had breakfasts, he had the little one and said it was plenty, I had the veggie one and to be honest it was too much! There aren't many times I'm beaten by food but I had to leave half a piece of toast as I was so stuffed! I obviously didn't have room for cake but they looked delicious and I will be going back to test them out. There were plenty of people who had booked a table and I would recommend doing this especially if you wanted a particular time or if you were with a larger group.

We had soup, quiche with salad and a great lump of flapjack. It was all delicious. The place was full but service was quick. We'll go back if we can.
