I used to like this place but the lady owner for the last two visits has been very rude. I thought last time was possibly an off day but it’s Halle ed again. If they have something wrong they will argue with you rather than just fixing it. I WONT EVER VISIT HERE AGAIN. If you want better food, experience and setting then go to Wow Banh Mi a few doors up.
Me and my daughter went here for a meal before a show. We booked for 5pm but if we went again we would definitely go for maybe 6pm.
When we arrived it was very quiet, staff were very friendly, our drinks were ordered, arrived quickly and then we ordered our food.
We ordered a pickle tray and poppadoms, followed by onion bhagis.
I ordered chicken Balti and my daughter had the lamb tikka masala, both with mushroom rice.
Our starters came out before we finished our poppadoms and it felt like the staff were hovering and waiting for us to finish our last mouthful to then bring our mains.
The service was just too quick and we felt rushed.
My curry arrived and it was lamb instead of chicken but I didn’t say anything because I like lamb and so thought I would just eat it, however it was tough and chewy.
The rest of the meal was lovely and I wouldn’t normally say anything but when asked I did say I got lamb instead of chicken. The gentleman was lovely and said we should have said at the beginning and it could have been changed and he would let the chef know.
He deducted the curry from our bill, which I wasn’t asking for so that was really nice of him.
We would go again, but not as early next time.
People do love good service and we do but on this occasion it was just too eager.
We booked a table for early evening and explained we had a child in our party. They were fantastic and put our minds at rest. The lobster lounge is a cosy, calm lounge, lit by warm yellow fairy lights.
The lady who served us was efficient and explained the menu fantastically. She was incredibly knowledgeable about both wine and food.
Our food was delicious. We chose two of the meat dishes with several plates of tapas. Both the lamb and pork were delicious. We enjoyed lobster arancini and a mushroom tapas. Our daughter loved the prawn pil pil. We had a very enjoyable evening and can't wait to go back !
Thank you.

Best breakfast around in my view and good range of choices.
On fine days we like to sit in the open barn but it was a bit parky this time, so we were forced indoors.
Staff always friendly and helpful.

I thought this was an alternative rock bar, but they just play trance and house music with the DJ massive disappointment
Also the skinny bar maid with curly brown hair and glasses is so rude!
We had a lovely lunch at the Commodore. The service was just the right mix of professional but friendly, not too pushy but not ignored either. We had a table with a lovely view which was helped by the day being sunny and warm. Our lunch was nicely presented and tasted great, I think it wasn't over priced compared to other pubs and restaurants in Instow but I think the Commodore has a nicer ambience. Definitely come back again, the only caveat is that the bar prices are maybe a bit higher than in the pub.
Visited with family recently for an evening meal very unprofessional and rude behavior from staff some of the young girls serving us looked as if they were on drugs the owner also looked drunk early in the evening. Food was ok but could have been better if all staff pulled there weight instead of standing around on there phones. Ideally not the best way to go if you want your business to succeed.

Ate here Saturday night while staying at nearby haywood farm campsite. The food and service was amazing, and excellent value for money. Cannot recommend enough.
Ate here today and the carbonara lived up to the restaurant's name! The service was also fantastic and I would hardly recommend this Italian restaurant to anyone in Chester. It's off the main stretch of road so you can have a quiet seat outside overlooking the high street.
Stopped off for lunch before heading home and the food was lovely. Especially the chunky chips. Just think at lunchtime they should offer sandwiches as not everyone wants big Christmas dinners . We did wait a while for our children’s ice creams but it did seem there was one lovely young lady doing all the work.
Be a Great place to visit in the summer.
We had been going to Stefanos before the restaurant changed hands - always good food and atmosphere. Under the new owner we'd had a couple of disappointing experiences due to poor service from uninterested staff but put it down to teething problems. We booked a meal to celebrate our anniversary- well in advance, not last minute. On arrival we were told "there's your table". It was quite literally in the doorway right behind the entrance door. When we asked was there a better positioned table we were told no and that it would be fine when everyone had arrived and they would close the door! Presumably we had to keep getting up and down to let people in and as the door opens outwards be on view practically sitting on the pavement each time someone came in. Staff stood sullenly staring at us as did the owner. No apology was made or any offer to try and move tables a bit. We were made to feel that we were being unreasonable. Not having been a last minute booking we didn't expect what should be the very last position of table to allocate. Needless to say we didn't stay and had a lovely meal made very welcome at Amici in Keighley. Needless to say we'll never be back to Stefanos. The incident didn't spoil our anniversary but most certainly would have done had we stayed.
