Stefanos Italian Restaurant in Bradford

First time back since new owners have come in. It’s been a while since our visit to Stefanos and naturally we wondered if it was as good. Greeted with warm friendly staff, free bread and sharing starter we knew it was going to be a good meal. The wine was perfect temperature, the food was served perfectly on time, the free potatoes with the main meal were all lovely touches. The food was unbelievable, the value for money with the children’s meal was outstanding. Puddings served fresh in the open kitchen behind all finished in minutes. We booked back in before we even finished the bottle of wine. It’s not just as good as before, it might even be better… Bravo 👍🏻

We went with our German friend and thoroughly enjoyed everything. The service was excellent and there was a great atmosphere. The food was superb, as usual. Of course, prices have gone up but tell me somewhere that hasn’t. Well worth a visit but advisable to book.

We have been to Stefanos on several occasions, and were excited to try under the new ownership. We were delighted to find that the warm welcome, great service, and delicious food was still to be found. Delicious steak and fish dishes, and the complimentary pizza bread is a lovely touch. We enjoyed 3 courses and wine for a very reasonable price, and will be coming back again very soon.

Four of us were on holiday in the area and decided to visit Stefanos, we were so pleased we did. The staff were friendly , helpful and efficient and the food was excellent from the complimentary pizza bread on arrival through to the desserts and complimentary liqueurs. Lovely buzz about the place , it felt like we were eating in a family run restaurant in Italy.

If I could give here more than 5 * I would. We live near Silsden and have been before Stephan and Betta retired, but this is the first visit since. Wow, it's wonderful. You are warmly welcomed, nothing is too much trouble and the food is wonderful, Italian family food at it's best. I can not rate it highly enough. Loved, loved, loved it.

My Wife has wanted to go to this restaurant so for our 17th wedding anniversary I decided to take her . We called into the restaurant in person on Friday 5th to book a table for Saturday the 6th but was told that they were fully booked for Saturday the 6th so we booked for the 7th instead which was our actual wedding anniversary anyway. The Owner write my name down in his book but told me that if they were any cancellations for 6/7/24 he would give me a call either way to let me know . I waited for his call on the 6/7/24 which never came but s we had made a reservation for 7/7/24 I was not concerned when they did not call. Our reservation was for 7.30m on the 7/7/24 I received a call on Sunday 7/7/24 at 6.55pm from the restaurant . I was a bit taken aback when the female asked for me by my first name as I had given the restaurant my full name when making the booking . I was told that some Diners had finished early and was told we could go early if we wanted which I found a little strange since I had specifically made the reservation for 7.30pm but since we were only about 15 minutes away I told the female calling that we would set off and would be there in around 15 minutes or so. We arrived at the restaurant at around 7.20pm . Upon arrival we were asked if we had a reservation I replied that we did , I also mentioned the phone call and I gave my name .We do not get out much as I have a terminal illness but my wife was so excited to go out to a restaurant for our anniversary that what followed can only be described as extremely disappointing . From the moment we set foot in the restaurant we were treated with disrespect. The waitress asked me again if I had a reservation I replied that we had booked it in person on 5/7/24 and had initially wanted the 6/7/24 but since they were fully booked had made a standing reservation for the 7/7/24 both my wife and I felt a little embarrassed that we were questioned twice but we were shown to a table . The waitress mentioned that they were not ready for us which I felt strange because only 20 minutes earlier she had phoned asking us to come down . The table we were shown to was right up against the kitchen area I am over 6ft table so had to have the table out to sit down. The waitress asked us if we would like to order drinks which we did she then asked me fr the 3rd time what name my reservation was under by this time both my wife and I were beginning to get frustrated by the sheer lack of professionalism and my wife actually stood up and asked me if I wanted to leave . I said it was fine smiled at my wife and my wife sat down . On the table was a handwritten menu which mentioned specials which were pork and chicken , the specials menu on the wall was unreadable so I saw a couple of menu's to the side of me so since we had not been given any menu's I stood up reached across and got two menu's one for my wife and one for myself . The menu had a few different pizza's on it some chicken dishes and also some Pork dishes I was very surprised that no where on the menu did it mention steak. I mentioned this to my wife as I really wanted a steak and since we do not get out often I was really looking forward to a steak cooked with an Italian sauce . After both my wife and I read through the menu twice I asked the waitress if the restaurant did Steak she replied "Yeah its on the menu if you have a look" Since both my wife and I had looked she came over snatched the menu from my hand and then went on to say it" Huh its on here somewhere " She then asked me for the 4th time if we had made a reservation to which I replied "Yes" So she then actually asked what my first name was because she wanted to check and see if the reservation had been made in my first name "!!! At this point we still had not been served our drinks , People were looking over at both my wife and I as if we had done something wrong which made both my wife and I feel terribly uncomfortable I stood up at this point at the same time as my wife . My wife said "lets go somewhere else " and I was inclined to agree with her as I do not expect to be asked 4 times if I have made a reservation when I specifically watched the one of the owners write our names down when we called in Friday afternoon along with our telephone number . it was obvious that we had made a reservation and what made this even more strange was the fact that the restaurant had phoned me before we had set off to tell me that some Diners had left early and that we could go earlier than our reservation if we wished to do so. We never got to actually eat so I cannot comment on the food BUT if the food is as bad as the waiting staff then this place leaves a lot to be desired . All in all the restaurant appeared to be very clean but the serving staff really let this place down. For a start they were way appeared to be four young ladies all stood together chatting instead of working from the moment we set foot in the place we were not treated with the respect that I would have expected to such an extent that my wife became upset and we both ended up wanting to leave . As we stood up to leave one of the waiting staff said " What up with them!"which I found even more disrectful and which made me walk down to the front of the restaurant and I did explain that we had made a reservation but were made to feel as if we had just tried to push our way in . This ruined what should have been a very special dinner for my wife. My wife is my carer and she works very hard and does not get to go out often . My wife had wanted to go to this restaurant for a very long time we spent our honeymoon in Italy and I believe that she just wanted to feel special just for one night but unfortunately the staff at this place ruined it for us . I have never ever been treated with such disrespect in all my life . I went in the restaurant with an open mind but came away never wanting to set foot in the place ever again. By the time the staff had messed about interrogating us over our reservation it was 8pm and most other places had stopped serving food . Fortunately there is a fantastic Asian restaurant and we ended up going there where we were treated with a lot more respect than we had been in the Italian restaurant . If you do make a reservation at Stefano's get them to write it on a piece of paper . I saw the manager write it down when we booked whether he had wrote it under the wrong day I do not know but it seemed very Odd that we were phone to tell us we could go earlier to then get to the restaurant to be told that they were not ready for us but to then question us 4 times about our reservation was very unprofessional. It is not as though it is a big restaurant so one would think that this place would go out on a limb to make sure that customers feel that little bit special . I told the manager / Cook when I made the reservation that it was our 17th wedding anniversary I even mentioned to hime that out anniversary fell n the Sunday so Sunday would suit us fine if they could not do Saturday . The menu is also very limited . I felt it very unprofessional that there was a hand written specials menu on the table. > My wife later mentioned to me that she felt that the place had a Jon lot of chicken and pork that they were trying to push on to people and that is how things came across to her . Over the years I have gone to many Italian restaurants I speak Italian as a second language . BUT I have never ever been so dissapiinted in a place . I do not normally leave reviews but feel like bothy wife and I deserve an apology . it is clear that the restaurant has my number because of what had happened and as the restaurant is so small would have expected a call to ask us why we left but I have not had a call which does not surprise me . The waiting staff need training . It would also have been better if they had a proper front of house staff waiting to show people to their seats. to me the place is little more than a Pizza shop. I would not go again I feel that the restaurant owes both my wife and I an apology but I very much doubt we will get one . All in all staff were rude , a disappointing experience . I can't comment on the food as we were never even served the drink we ordered as soon as we arrived. I suppose all places can have a bad evening but this upset my wife a very special lady who never grumbles about anything she was sooo looking forward to eating at this place and the experience had her in tears Not good - MUST DO MUCH BETTER IN MY OPINION

Just been for a meal with my son's and what an absolute amazing meal it was, super attentive waitresses who advised us of the various specials on offer and provided excellent service throughout,to the delicious food both beautifully cooked and presented,we had starters ranging from prawn cocktail to stuffed peppers and a fantastic calzone pizza and chicken dishes. It was a pleasure to dine in such a fantastic traditional restaurant where the customer is shown first class treatment throughout the visit. The chef personally came out to chat with his customers, something that back in the day was always a tradition and I'm so glad to see that it still exists in Stefano's, we will be making this our local restaurant when we move to silsden in September. Absolutely the best.

Take away pizza. Been getting pizzas from Stephanos for 25 years and never had a bad meal with Stephano and Betta. My first pizza from the new owner was undercooked. Raw mushrooms on the top. I actually had to finish cooking it at home defeating the purpose of having a takeaway. Usually I can't resist finishing my pizza but despite being starving I ate less than half. Very disappointed

We dined at Stefanos on a Friday evening, feeling lucky to have got a table at 6pm. The restaurant was already quite full but it has about 10 tables so it would seem full! We chose a table near the kitchen. We chose a prawn cocktail and a cheesy garlic bread to start. The garlic bread was nice, the prawn cocktail was ok, just a few prawns on lettuce really and nothing special. For main I chose the Americana pizza and my partner, his yard stick so to speak, the lasagne. The pizza wasn’t great, quite sloppy in the middle with about 5 pieces of salami. When we’d ordered the lasagne the waitress said, oh you’ve got the last one? The last one at 6pm? I don’t know if that should have sounded alarm bells but the lasagne was bland. I can make better from scratch in an hour so don’t know if it was pre made or warmed up but it was just mushy and tasteless. My partner left most of it. Really disappointing to say we’d chosen here based on the great reviews. The service was nice and friendly, I’ll say that and the prices reasonable but seems it’s aimed at a returning market who don’t know where else to go. We’d never been before so can’t comment on other reviews about the previous owners. The lady who took our bill took a couple of quid off the lasagne seen as she could see my partner hadn’t eaten much and we said it wasn’t great. We didn’t ask for this so I suppose a nice gesture but little more. Cheap bill with two glasses of wine but won’t be returning anytime soon

Just visited our favourite Italian restaurant under its new ownership having been regular customers over many years. Pleased to say that Stef and Beta seem to have chosen the new owner, Sean wisely. He has kept the menu the same and our food was cooked to the same high standard of deliciousness as ever. The service is still excellent and the atmosphere as lively as always. A nice touch was that Sean came to introduce himself to his customers. No doubt he will want to add his own personal touches over time but it was good that our favourites were still available. Some things are too good to change. Thank you Sean and team.

We visited to try out the restaurant now under new ownership. The restaurant is the same decor but sadly lost its sparkle. To see staff eating food that had been removed from tables was very unprofessional. Without any doubt prices have been increased across the board. A side order of vegetables previously £1-00 now £2-50. Fillet steak and Haddock now over £55. Spare table in the restaurant very unusual on a Sunday afternoon.

Whenever we are on holiday in the area we try and book in at this restaurant. As previous visits, enjoyed some lovely food and received great service. Can highly recommend

I'm Italian and love to cook some rarely find an Italian restaurant that comes up to scratch. This place however is fabulous. Yes it's small. Yes it's cramped. Yes they do sittings. Yes the owner has her own style. To me all these things add to the experience ✨️. The food really is top notch and the wine is lovely. Not overpriced either comparatively. Best Italian restaurant I've ever been to.

I had a starter of potatoes in skins. They were chips. No finesse. No frying with onions and or garlic to lift them. Nothing. No imagination. The lady owner argued saying that some people like bland food. Why would you go to an Italian for bland food.

On holiday in Yorkshire and saw this place recommended on varios apps So before we went on holiday we booked a table as it said it was aiways busy When we arrived it was lovely we were made welcome by staff and owners After ordering drinks owners wife came olong with the Specials telling us all about them We all ordered our starters which were gorgeous and we had free pizza with our starters. Our Mains came which were piping hot and we had free patate al forno(chips type) and a slice of Italian Bread All was devoured and was lovely didn't have room for deserts but had a complimentary drink at the end of the meal We left Happy with Full Bellies and were wished goodbye by everyone What a Brilliant Place Thank You All Loved It cant wait tinn next time

Wow! If I could give 6* I would! A great welcome, lovely staff, A-MAZing food (as Craig R-H would say), this is somewhere I would definitely come back to. We were on the canal and this was our last evening meal - home with happy memories! Thank you, Stefano and team!

Due to health issues it has been some time since we visited Stefano’s. Wow how we missed the brilliant food. Stefano is so keen that all his dishes leave the kitchen to the same standard. His fish dishes can’t be bettered. Add to that the efficiency of Beta and the restaurant can’t be beaten. We have so missed out visits and we will be back very soon. So good to see that the restaurant is always busy. Even though prices have had to be increased slightly Stefano’s still represents excellent value.

We had heard so many good reports about Stefanos but never got round to booking as we heard how small it was inside.We decided to give it a try & are so glad we did! As it seemed we were the only couple we were put at the side of the kitchen which felt a bit squashed.Actually it was a great experience! The staff were so friendly & were almost apologetic about our table position,swiftly giving us free pizza while we waited to order.This was delicious as was the food to follow.I had a pasta arrabiata & my husband Lasagne.Superb! We shared a homemade roulade & finished with coffee & complimentary liqueur. It was an entertainment being able share the "organised chaos" as the owner said.That may be but it worked! Can't wait to return.A great evening!

Good food, friendly service and a good atmosphere. It’s small and tables are close but not a problem for us. Really enjoyed it.

We were taken to Stefano’s as a birthday treat by some very good friends. What good friends they were! Stefano’s has the most delicious traditional Italian food we have ever tasted here in the UK and in Italy itself. The menu had some beautiful dishes as did that day’s specials, expertly recited by our host for the evening Elisabetta. We really did enjoy true Italian fare with a very wide choice of pastas and pizzas and many fish and meat dishes. Every choice was freshly prepared with high quality ingredients. The setting is very quaint and has a great ambience. The staff are excellent, nothing was too much trouble, with a lovely complimentary fresh pizza bread and a liqueur of choice, to begin and end our meal. We will be back very, very soon to return the experience of the birthday treat for our friends. If you are in the Yorkshire area, Stefano’s is an absolute must, you will not be disappointed. A little piece of Italy in Silsden!

Visited for a birthday treat and what a treat it was. Staff are always friendly and helpful, courteous without being too over the top. Our choices were the meat sizzler and the haddock thermadour, both of which were excellent. We have been to Stefanos several times and have never been disappointed.

A family run restaurant with all the love a happy family can put into the most delicious food I have had in a long time - prawns then Dover Sole all cooked by Stefano himself. Fantastic service and atmosphere. The UK is lucky to have this gem!

I’ve been to Rome a number of times and Naples too and still find this one of my favorite places to eat Italian food. It genuinely feels like home cooked, indulgent authentic Italian food. The specials are amazing. Loved it.

Ordered Friday night as usual it was after calling about 50 times. We were told it would be ready at 7.30pm, stood outside freezing waiting until 8.05pm 35 minutes stood outside “sorry they were busy.” What an absolute joke! Time wasters, need to sort themselves...

Was tipped off about this place from my Italian tutor and it didn’t disappoint.Very rarely leave a review but thought I must with how good the food was. Service was caring and attentive also.Went with my son (8) who also loved it, place was packed on a Tuesday.It is very very small but is managed in a very good way. I would’ve liked a chat with the chef but he was mowed out.Will defo be returning and also telling family and friends to visit.Apologies for not tipping as I had no cash and your waitress flew in and out with contactless payment.This will change on my next visit. This was quite a find in this small town (not in Keighley itself but a few miles away). They had only just reopened after the enforced closure, which probably explained why the service was a bit rusty. No complaints otherwise, and the fact that all the tables were full as soon as doors opened bore this out. I had an a monumental pasta dish and my companions were equally satisfied.

We had the great pleasure to be invited by friends to Stefanos. The food is amazing and cooked to perfection in full view of the customers. We honestly struggled to pick a favourite dish. The service is both friendly and attentive and everything on the menu is incredibly good value. We had the good fortune to meet Betta at the end of the evening and heard the fascinating history of the family restaurant business. They deserve every success.

The food is amazing absolutely delicious if that was all the rating would be 5 star. But the service is absolutely rubbish. When you phone for a takeaway you have to repeatedly keep phoning. When they answer you’re asked to wait for a while whilst listening to noisy background noise, it’s usually 3-5mins you’re sat waiting. When the person comes back to the phone they never ever know the specials, so you have to sit and wait another few minutes whilst they yell asking what they are down the phone. After this you’re asked to wait again whilst the person yells out your order down your ear hole to the kitchen, you’re then told a time. When you show up at that time 100% guaranteed to be stood outside waiting for at least 20 minutes as it is NEVER and I repeat NEVER ready on time. The food it absolutely fantastic! But the organisation, the communication and the timing is absolutely horrendous it spoils a nice evening as by the time you’ve waited and been messed around for so long it just puts you into a bad mood.

You know it is going to be a good evening when you rock up at Stefanos at 5.50 on a September Wednesday evening and the place is busy. We had booked ( you have to if you want to be sure of a table. The restaurant is tiny & the kitchen even smaller. The food is fabulous. I had the fish duo whilst my wife had lobster/pasta parcels with haddock. We are regular but this was the best meal we have had to date. I finished with strawberry creme brulee and my OH had coffee icecream with liqueur. The whole lot was £60 including drinks. Staff are friendly, attentive and good humoured which adds to the atmosphere.Stefanos has been consistently good for many years. Long may it continue.

Wow. The service is fantastic. Not pretentious. But feels like you are in the back streets of Italy. The food is to die for. I can be a hard person to please. But highly recommend

We were staying in Silsden on holiday so a few weeks before, I phoned to book a table for two at Stefano’s and was offered Sunday evening at 7.30pm – a little late for us, but this restaurant was recommended. We arrived early and were first in, shown to our table, given a menu and asked what we’d like to drink. Customers seemed to arrive at about the same time as if there were timed sittings. We sipped our drinks and chose from the menu even though we’d previously looked online at the menus. Each table filled in the small restaurant - no social distancing here! After a while, we noticed that the owner (Mrs. Stefano?) was attending each table taking orders, but not ours – maybe we’d be next. No! Not only was she taking orders, several times she explained in depth what was in each dish even though this was detailed on the menus. Whilst the flustered, perspiring owner was scooting around the restaurant taking orders, several members of staff were standing near the kitchen area looking bored. Why couldn’t they take orders? I got up and went over to the nearest waitress and explained that although we were first in, our orders had not been taken…she looked shocked and said the owner would be over shortly. This didn’t happen and the waitress came over to say that there had been a problem in the kitchen and there would be a delay. One table were even eating their starters! Meanwhile the owner was like a demented woman running around the restaurant; having taken orders, she was now directing the cooking. At one point she ran across to a corner table and took a guy’s starter away leaving him astounded. Things were starting to look like an episode of Faulty Towers! Fearing we wouldn’t get any food that evening as it was around 8pm, we left cash for our drinks and walked out…we didn’t rush, but nobody asked why. I was facing away from the serving area, but as we left, my husband told me that Mr. Stefano had walked out of the kitchen and gone upstairs; he didn’t come down while we were still there. The whole place appeared to be in chaos, mismanaged, waitresses standing around doing nothing. Unfortunately, I couldn’t comment on the food as we didn’t get any, but the service was awful. It ruined my evening…after that we went to three other different restaurants we know of, but by this time they had all stopped serving meals. Out of desperation, we bought a couple of microwave meals in a Co-op that was still open as luckily we had a microwave in our lodgings.

Food good, service not so. Lady taking orders was stressed out and abrupt, causing us all to feel uneasy. The 3 members of waiting staff chatting between themselves were oblivious to customers, we had to call to them to get drinks, as they were not keeping an eye on things. No draught beers (although advertised on a display board) and bottles of Moretti at £3.50 (less than £1 in supermarket), overpriced. Food was good, but overall not an enjoyable experience.

First visit, after a lovely day of walking, in need of food and drink. Having read the excellent reviews we booked in for an evening meal. The restaurant is very pleasant and the staff most welcoming. We enjoyed a lovely meal, well cooked and presented. The menu is excellent with something for everyone and a great selection of drinks. The service was very good and the complimentary additions a nice touch. a return visit is on the cards

We booked for the 6.00pm sitting. It was busy but service was relaxed and friendly. The complimentary pizza to share was very good. We all enjoyed the food but for me the stand out dish was the fish. Superb.

A visit to Stefanos is not just for eating it’s an experience. We were lucky to get a Saturday evening on their first week of opening up after lockdown. Well worth it. We had table number 1 and to watch the amazing and vast amount of food coming out from such a small, well run kitchen was an experience not to miss. We were in awe. Staff were very friendly and great to see so much love for the regulars. Food was delicious. Well worth a visit if you can get a booking!

Great authentic Italian food delivered quickly by very helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed Pizza's, the base was perfect topped with quality ingredients. We were also given complimentary bread, garlic bread and sautéed potatoes with onions, all delicious! We were also given a complimentary liqueur at the end of the meal. Highly recommend!

Have visited the area for many years and have always wanted to eat here but never got round to it until our latest trip .What a joy , food amazing ,service impeccable a sheer delight and the highlight of my Birthday.Sooo looking forward to eating here on our next trip .

Today was our first opportunity to visit Stefano’s after lockdown restrictions have been lifted.The restaurant has been extensively refurbished introducing a modern bistro style appearance. What has not changed during lockdown is the sheer passion of Stefano and his team. The quality of the food was as good as ever. Welcome back Stefano brilliant as ever.

This review comes from someone who doesn’t eat Italian food much - I prefer curry. However, we tried this last night and it was absolutely amazing. The menu is extensive and they had specials as well. Everything we had was delicious. It was busy - and deserves to be - so it was a good job we booked. Will I go again??? I think I have been converted so the answer is, yes, definitely.

Tonight I collected 2 calzones, 2 pizzas and 2 portions of chips, we haven’t ordered before as we live in Oakworth so it’s quite a trek but wanted to try it. . And Wow. Absolutely amazing. I have never tasted an Italian like it. Truely outstanding. Everything was boxed perfectly, and the chip wedges were gorgeous. 100% recommend. The staff were truely working their socks off to make sure everything was perfect..... and it was more than perfect. Very well done in a very tough climate. We enjoyed it so much. Thankyou we’ll be back. Xx

Its been many months now since my last Review, and in essence nothing has changed since that last Review.The Covid Virus still rules our lives, but we are fortunate in that the Restaurant remains open for pre-order and then 'collection meals'.The Staff remain committed to their task of beautifully prepared food, and excellent Service.By coincidence yesterday the Lamb was again on the Menu, and delicious it was, with Bev again choosing the 'Fish Duo' as her preferred main course meal. During these uncertain times its lovely that we are able to treat ourselves at this, our favourite Restaurant.For those who haven't paid the Staff a visit why not treat yourselves.You won't regret it, and its sure to put some 'bounce back in your step'.BevandFras.

We miss visiting our favourite Italian restaurant that has been closed during Covid. Stefano and his team have changed and developed a great system of ordering a quality take away meal. Customers can still enjoy their favourite dishes in their own home. Nothing has changed with the food quality just a different venue.

So on a stopover on the narrowboat, no restaurants open so decided to try a takeout to bring back to the boat, my hubby had meatballs + i had caneloni, food tasted amazing + better then what we had in sorrento last year, wish we were here longer so we could try other food on the menu, whoever runs this restaurant knows how to cook!! brilliant cooks and lovely staff thankyou

Had a birthday takeaway whilst on holiday. Well cooked food and plenty of it. The order was phoned in and was ready when they said it would be. There was a little too much sauce - 3 cartons and we used about a half. We had a selection of starters, Kiev calzones, the burger special and a pork dish. I loved that the takeaway cartons were in put in pizza boxes to make it easier to carry.

I'll start by saying that Stefanos Restaurant is our favourite Restaurant, and we've been returning customers for many years. The present Virus circumstances have been a great strain on everyone, and for those of us who previously enjoyed the fortnightly visit to see Betta, Stefano and all the lovely Staff, we were delighted to see that during these 'dark times', the Restaurant have recently started an 'Order and Collect' system.Ring up after 2pm and place your order. (Not open on a Monday).We ordered and collected a couple of Pitzas last week. Beautiful, and today we ordered the Fish Duo, and on a 'Special Order' basis, I ordered the Lamb Rump.As usual the meals were beautiful and tasty. (The Lamb being locally sourced).A fantastic effort is being made by one and all in the Restaurant, always during 'normal times', and even more so now during these uncertain times. For those who have never visited, go the extra mile, and for all those who are 'in the know' make that call and once again enjoy the great taste of the beautiful food prepared by Stefano and his Staff. So, I ate alone last night, the highlight being a fantastic dish of two large pork medallions sandwiching oodles of spinach and covered in cheese with a great sauce to boot. Excellent friendly service as ever, but this CV business isn't doing any restaurants good in terms of bums on seats and Stef's is no exception. Still doing takeaways though and they'll survive all this because folk love the place too much to allow it to go under. My next review will be in a few months when I should have held my 75th birthday party, booking the whole place - 34 covers - for a Saturday night! I mean, where else...???

Lovely little restaurant serving fantastic Italian cuisine. Have visited many times. Food absolutely delicious on every occasion.Excellent Staff always very friendly and welcoming.The constant queue of people collecting takeaways may be testament to the quality of the food but I want to dine in a restaurant not a take-away.(10 people queuing for takeaways in the middle of a very small restaurant with nowhere else to wait means standing over people dining - not acceptable) Will not be visiting again !(Don't sit near the door)

Enjoyed a family meal on Sunday at this very friendly restaurant. The food from the varied menu, to suit all tastes, was excellent - well cooked, tasty and presented. The staff were very efficient, friendly and obliging. Only downside, restaurant small, but don't be put off, enjoy a visit!

Absolutely beautiful food. A true family run Italian restaurant. I have visited many of times and not found a better Italian yet. The restaurant is small and it would be nice to have a proper waiting area for people waiting for takeaways so they’re not stood next to your table in the middle of the restaurant. The food makes up for this minor inconvenience or you can get a takeout order which is cooked to the same high standards. 100% worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed! I highly recommend the penne arrabiata!

If you’re looking for a taste of Italy with well made food at a reasonable price look no further. The premises are a little small so dining in does sometimes feel a little squished, but the enthusiasm of owners and delicious meals make up for that. That said, we absolutely love (and probably prefer, purely for the lack of space in there!) getting a takeaway. The pizzas are amazing, so fresh, and the spare ribs are like no others!! The constant queue of people collecting their takeaways is testament to the quality and service. Brilliant xx

Well......we went for my birthday meal after recently moving to the area and recommendations and we were not let down! We were however surprised at the size of the restaurant when we first arrived as it is pretty small which we will now call cosy! We thought the complimentary bread and butter along with the tomato garlic bread was a lovely touch! I ordered the salmon fillet, the others ordered chicken in a creamy sauce, build your own pizza and a spaghetti bolognese.......none of us were disappointed and thoroughly enjoy it, very tasty! My children couldn't quite finish their mains after the complimentary bits and starters so we boxed and took away what wasn't eaten. All we could speak of on our walk home was how nice it was, how we were really pleasantly surprised and when we were next going back! Service was on point too! Lovely!

Beautiful authentic Italian food, with lovely people serving. The standard menu isn’t huge, but there is an impressive specials menu. I had garlic mushrooms to start, with prawns - nice and for main I had a linguine dish with smoked salmon and prawns from the specials. Only a small establishment, shame there isn’t a bar or waiting area - but the standard of food makes up for this! Defo recommend!

Visited for a group meal that booked the whole of the small restaurant. The group meal/Christmas menu was 5 courses (incl coffee), with multiple choices for starters and mains. Food was excellent, with friendly service.

Many visits to Stefanos as the food is superb, absolutely beautiful. Love the penne arrabiata. The best Italian food for miles however the restaurant is extremely cramped!

We arrived for the second sitting (8.30) We got a warm welcome from the staff and shown to our table, the free samples came out piping hot. I went for the stunning meatballs with Parmezan cheese,And a maincourse of Canneloni . We chose the House red wine which was a very Pallatable Montepulciano D abruzzo. A free limoncello to round off a wonderful evening. Being a thursday night it was slightly easier to book a table. Be warned Fridays and saturdays are booked up weeks in advance.

Very average food. But ok. Wouldn’t rush back Booked table at 6pm. Allowed to order by 6:45. Luckily the complimentary bread and tomatoe bread staved off the hunger. Type of place older generations go as they don’t know any better.

Food from Stefanos is second to none. Stefanos is the top of his game at “cheffing”. Dining room is warm and welcoming. Decor ok but we go for the food and that’s first class 👌🏽

Take away - Really lovely pizzas but ordered at 7pm, told it would be ready at 7.50, had to wait in the restaurant until 8.30, 40 past the time they told us on the phone that our food would be ready.

stefano cooks hundreds of meals each week and every one comes out as perfect as the first so tasty and delicious so enjoyed our meal last night thank you all

Our party of eight had our annual visit to Stefanos whilst in the area. We were impressed with the food yet again. Great food and great staff. Definitely worth a visit.

Been meaning to try this place for so long. Finally ticked it off the list and can't wait to re visit. Food was great and so were the atmosphere.

Decided to order from here after receiving recommendations from locals in The Red Lion. Ordered meal deal of 2 pizzas, meatballs and pasta of the day for £19.95. Unbelievable value for quality of food. Meatballs were succulent and flavoursome, with pasta and sauce very tasty. Pizzas were amazing! Couldn’t eat all, so took the rest home for the following night, reheated and just as nice. Restaurant was really busy when picked up food. Good to see for a small town on a Wednesday afternoon/evening.

We went here for a family gathering - as a small restaurant and a booking for 10, they facilitated our wish to try them out on a busy Friday night. Typically Italian it was happily noisy. Lots of lovely complimentary unexpected treats, which were gratefully received, however, the quality of their food and their reasonable prices made this icing on the cake! I recommend their fish specials- perfectly cooked. It was an unusual night in that a family of 10 including 6 children( with a couple of fussy eaters) from 11 to 17 and a vegetarian were all delighted with their food. Thank you Stefano and his team.

A small family run business serving excellent Italian food at great prices all presented by friendly staff. Complimentary garlic pizza, you can see your food being prepared, a wonderful experience all round.

Amazing is a much overused word but it is the perfect description for Stefanos. This was the best Italian meal I have ever had. Service was great and the food absolutely delicious. We had tasty morsels of fish with mayo & salad for a starter followed by tender slices of pork in brandy & cream. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. The sweets were also delicious. Portion sizes would fill the hungriest of dines and prices are very reasonable indeed. There are complimentary surprises but I'm not going to you about them- go there and discover them for yourself. You won't be disappointed! I look forward to my next visit.

Everybody raves about stefanos and I almost didn’t want to believe it, but how wrong was I! This quaint little restaurant serves beautiful authentic Italian cuisine, the flavours are brill and the service great, we liked it that much we got take out pizza the Friday after our reservation. Book in advance as they fill up fast, we only managed to get in due to a cancellation. Can’t wait to return

Tried to get into Stefanos on numerous occasions but it has always been fully booked. It was well worth the wait and persistence for availability.

Love love love this place! Always my first choice! Amazing food, lovely staff, every time I forget how yummy it is!

Staying nearby our hostess recommended Stefano’s and she wasn’t wrong. Freshly cooked food from a huge menu arrived piping hot and delicious. Hubby had salt and pepper ribs which fell clean off the bone and I had minestrone soup laden with veg. We both had chicken, mine with a tomato sauce, and his with cream, mushrooms, ham and cheese. Lyonnaise potatoes were so Morris’s and veg too meant we did not have room for dessert but the pavlova and Italian custard looked so nice. All this and complimentary liqueurs. Highly recommend. They also do the whole menu to take away!

Although living in Silsden for the last 7 years, this is the first time that I've managed to get a table in this Italian Restaurant. From the outside, this restaurant doesn't look much, but it is well worth trying. We received a very warm and friendly welcome and although the place is a bit cramped, it was a very enjoyable experience.

When we walked in the restaurant we were given a genuine warm welcome which was the best ever! The food then matched the welcome. It was first class.

Managed to get a table at short notice, made to feel very welcome. Good menu, specials board and then extras. Meatball starter followed by Pizza. All food served hot and reasonable gap between starter and main. Did not feel rushed.

Extremely busy and well patronised Italian restaurant. Tables somewhat close together but Maitre D' managed to squeeze around all the customers with consumate ease. Food excellent with reasonable choice of bottled beers/lagers.

Opted to order a takeout whilst staying in the local area on a Tuesday evening, to take advantage of the £9.95 offer. The offer is only on Tuesdays and Thursdays I believe. As part of the offer you can choose any pizza with two toppings, a portion of the ‘pasta of the day’, and a portion of layonnaise potatoes. This particular evening the pasta was cream of tomato with bolognaise, ham and salami. We ordered early as the reviews suggest that only a certain amount of takeout orders may be accepted, depending of course on how busy the restaurant is. I was informed my 6pm order would be ready for collection by 6:30pm (unsure if delivery is offered), and I arrived just before to collect. There was a very short wait and I could see that already the small restaurant was full. The food we received was absolutely wonderful, excellent value for money at only £9.95 and, comfortably fed 2 adults. All three of the dishes were flavoursome, extremely well presented and cooked.

I have eaten here a couple of times and have never left feeling disappointed (or hungry!). The restaurant is quite small and the downside to this is people stood over you while they wait for takeaways. There is a vast menu and loads of specials to choose from! The staff are all friendly and are very efficient. Booking is absolutely necessary.

It is a few years since we have eaten at Stephanos I won’t make that mistake again. We arrived for the 6pm sitting sat right in front of the kitchen didn’t feel in the way was fascinating watching the chefs st work in such a small area. We had steak and fish between us truly the best meal we have eaten at n ages. Brilliant service and wonderful food. Won’t leave it so long next time

I have been to a lot of Italian restaurants and I no good food it is organised chaos which gives it that family feel and the food is amazing I always get the scampi al a cream it is amazing!!! My family as had other pasta dishes, calzone and pizza and not one of us has ever had any fault. Only the wait time for take away and you can never get a table unless you book way in advance. You must try this place any bad reviews are people who don’t no what good home cooked food is.
