Thank you so much for making our meal for our 40th wedding anniversary with our friends so memorable. The standard of food was superb and presentation exceptional, this was down to the dedication of the team in the kitchen and their mentors . The service we received from the young man (clover) was outstanding and he should be rightly proud as the rest of the serving team and mentors should be. £21 yes £21 for a three course restaurant meal and expirience. When we are next up this way on holiday we shall most definately be booking a lunch and will recommend to our family and friends. Finally a big thankyou for the marvellous cake which you presented to us. It was delicious and again a reflection of the superb team you have at the college including the your booking collegue. Wonderful service from Rachel who is a great host! Lovely to see someone in this venue again, and the cafe is lovely inside, very warm and welcoming. We had a black coffee and hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows, very good price and much nicer than visiting the normal chain coffee shops. Got some chocolate banana bread to take away too which was delicious. Will definitely be returning!

Excellent little cafe good fresh and tasty food

Discovered by chance when looking for a lunch venue. I really enjoyed the soup and cheese scone and my partner was very impressed with the quiche. The china crockery is really lovely. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Our whole family, children and grandchildren enjoyed a lovely afternoon at Walker’s Retreat. Just as we expected, the food was very good, catering to different diets and beautifully presented. Afterwards we were able to spill out into the courtyard where the younger children could safely play. Thank you Dawn for a memorable occasion

Wow what a treat!! We had a fabulous dinner cooked to perfection with fresh local produce. The owners, one of which is chef Patron, were absolutely the greatest hosts, nothing was too much trouble. We would like to say a huge thank you for making our evening one to remember. We will definitely be back.

We had such a lovely night last night with live music by Hugh Budden and Mo Thomas and danced to a few numbers. Lovely venue with good food and great service. Sadly they’re closing down as the new premise lease won’t be renewed. Let’s support this amazing venue as much as we can in the coming weeks before it all becomes a memory!

Wow, the food is amazing, the service outstanding and we felt like we were the only customers in a full restaurant. I would travel an hour from my home to eat here again!

Gemma and her Team made my Retirement Celebration with NottsHealthcare Nutrition and Dietetics Team extra special. Afternoon Teas where prepared beautifully, cakes were delicious and plenty to take home. The Tea Room has such a wonderful atmosphere and the Team is so attentive and friendly. 💎 You are all gems!

Delicious thick chips cooked to perfection, accompanied by fish bites to die for. Lovely takeaway on the seafront for a nice walk along the beach. Will definitely be back, couldn’t recommend it any more!

Staying in Amble for a week,tried visiting everyday from Monday onwards in afternoon, but closed tried again Sat afternoon,place was heaving,celebrating 5yrs opening, free drinks on entry,great atmosphere, cheese,olives,buns on tables,what a lovely thought,deserves to succeed

Wow! The food in here is not for the faint hearted! Luckily we were visiting for a few days so I had the chance to try a few things as I couldn’t choose! Great coffee, delicious pastries and a great place to grab something and head to the coast path. I will be back!
