I booked this hotel for our 10 year wedding anniversary as a 2 night stay away without the children as a treat. From arrival to departure, Dan and Megan couldn’t have been better hosts. Very welcoming and made the stay extra special with their friendly banter. The room was very spacious and the bed was huge and so comfortable! The whole hotel is spotless and the garden is beautiful. I enjoyed watching the chickens and CoCo their dog having fun in the garden from our window. We ate in the restaurant on our first night, had breakfast both mornings and used the honesty bar. The food was perfectly cooked and very well presented. I’ve never used an honesty bar before but it was not a problem and actually quite a novelty to be bar lady for the evening! The hotel has an easy access car park and is a perfect distance of a 5-10 min walk to the beach and shops. We will definitely be returning and so pleased to have come across this lovely hotel. Thank you for such a lovely stay. :-)

Asked for chicke shish wrap gives me mixed meat, when I don't eat doner meat!!!! Then when it comes to pay... He says it's £9.50 He makes his own prices as I asked his to tell me the price again he said £10 !! He hasn't put any prices for wraps on his menu!!! Then he changs my mate for the same plus he's had extra chips less than me?!? (£9)

I have drove past here many times but today was the first time i came to eat, and i wish i had come sooner! Inside was really nicely decorated, the service was amazing, they were so friendly! Thank you to our servers! The food was tasty, it came quick despite the restaurant being full! You can also bring your own alcohol to drink, which is a huge bonus! I am already planning on coming back next week!

You always get a warm welcome at Ground Up, the owner is friendly and approachable and this cafe always has a nice relaxed atmosphere. The coffee is excellent and the cakes are amongst the best in Bury. I've not tried any of the other food but some hot food is available and the toasties and sandwiches look good. They also have a pre-paid items board which you can contribute to for anyone in need of food or a hot drink without the means to pay, which I think it's a fantastic idea. It's a great cafe!

This cafe was fairly good about ten years ago but over the years the quality seams to get worse a worse a the price not so good compared to other cafe.s in the area that's why I stopped going.
