Ate here last night had a lovely meal. We chose the set menu food was delicious compliments to the chef.
Service excellent and very friendly .
A great place really enjoyed it.
We will visit again
Can’t wait to repeat Sunday’s fabulous afternoon tea at Bessiestown. Everything was home made, so tasty and melt in the mouth. Too much for us to manage but what we couldn’t eat was plated and given to us to take home. Couldn’t fault the experience.
Every visit your made to feel welcome with high attention to detail & cleanliness, Geoff, Emma & the girls all work hard & make the difference, with hot well cooked food with plenty of choice, Served with love & a smile, Nothing but excellent service here, so hearty home made meals in gorgeous setting & excellent live music....
The massaman curry from here is amazing! It's a great place to grab some lunch. Staff are always friendly and very helpful. Me and partner love to come and grab lunch together on Fridays, always a nice treat.
Defiantly recommend
Very delicious, tasty sweets. Soft and fresh. We came here twice. Baklava really tasty. Ready made treats were fresh. Nougat was super yummy. Thank you so much. All the best.
I walked in off the street and was met with a lovely greeting from the owner and staff. I sat at a table and was immediately made to feel welcome. There was a good atmosphere and everyone was friendly. The food was delicious and the coffee too. I must say I was full up by the time I left.
I would recommend Starvin' Marvin to my friends.
You need to find your way through a chemist's shop and then upstairs - but it is worth it! We stopped for the soup and sandwich deal; a bowl of hot home-made soup, thick with lentils and chunks of bacon and a chicken mayo sandwich stuffed full and with salad and crisps. Delicious and a bargain.
I was looking for a solid Full English Breakfast on a lunch break - it's tough because most places stop serving breakfast beyond the morning. McCtaff's however absolutely delivered. Not only that but the food quality was really high and cooked to perfection! Highly recommend!
Often walked past and on way back from walking dog so thought i would give it a go. Just wanted a sandwich, wasnt asked what sort of bread, white or brown advertised, order a tuna bap with salad. Said bap was defrosted in microwave and filled with a very wet tuna mayo filling, so wet that the whole thing disintegrated. At 4.60 not at all impressed and wont be using again, very overpriced for what it is, the granary in withycombe does a much better job all round, stick to your meals on wheels.
¡Siempre excelentes pasteles/bollos/postres!
Found this place whilst shopping in Loughborough.
It's an amazing little place. It's warm and cosy and the staff were so lovely, happy and helpful.
Coffee and tea were delicious. The Bakewell tart was exceptional.
I took home the last croissant on the shelf that day and enjoyed it for my breakfast the next day, just lengthening my 58 experience.
In the New Year we are returning for lunch and maybe try one of their taster nights.
Three of us went to Pie Jackers before a Boro home game. We were greeted by friendly staff. They offered a range of locally sourced home made pies with mash and mushy peas. Two of us had game pie - a special of the day and our friend had chicken. Excellent food and supplemented by some interesting local ales. Great value! We are certainly going back.
