The best restaurants serving African food in South East

Delightful tapas. We had a nice variety of dishes, and staff was very attentive to gluten intolerance of one of our party. We especially enjoyed the tortillas espanol and baked mozzarella aubergine, as well as the garlic mushrooms and patatas brava.

I ordered amala and ewedu with assorted meat. The ewedu tasted bland, and the stew was just average. I also ordered asun. However, I was surprised as it was just some meat in spicy sauce. Besides, the sauce takes half of the container, as seen in the picture. So, the meat 'not asun' was just about half of the container. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Over 35 minutes waiting for 2 main courses with 5 tables in the restaurant.... We wanted to pop in for quick bite.... Not coming back again

Love these guys. This place has been so reliable since they opened, a few years back now. Ethiopian food is uniquely delicious and they do it very well. Pretty relaxed, informal atmosphere with good, friendly service.

PHENOMENAL!!! I recently visited Cafe Nucleus and was thoroughly impressed by the friendly and attentive staff. The food exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and value, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for up market place to have food or drinks. Phenomenal deco and amazing atmosphere!! Thank you soo much guys , I will be back again and again x ps.. This waffle with maple syrup and fruit was exceptional ♥️

Nos detuvimos para tomar un café rápido y un pequeño bocado - como un celiaco estaba preocupado y tenía algunas preguntas, pero el chef hizo sugerencias cuando decidí no comer e hizo algo de comida increíble! Sin duda recomendaría para el celíaco - menú está lleno de NGI / O!

Good place, shame that all shareholders let a guy who has zero interest and experience in dealing with customers, who bullies the staff, really embarrassing! I would not recommend this place, especially if you have to deal with so called manager of the pub. Had a great night, but he interacted and told staff off for making a drink I asked for, when I interacted he became extremely rude, lesson for management- people come there to spend money not to be told off.

Really impressed with this place, great deal on cocktails from 4 to 7pm 2 for 1 cocktails, I had jungle juice and long island ice tea both were lovley. I ordered the jerk chicken with rice & beans, the chicken was two big leg's and it was juicy and tender, the sauce had a mild kick not to spicy and really flavourful, decent portion size filled my boots. Great service too very friendly. Would definitely recommend on an evening out!

Excellent service. Food was good, although my steak had rather a lot of fat running through it, making it difficult to cut.

Tuve un delicioso almuerzo de cumpleaños sentado bajo el sol. A pesar de no haber reservado, una mesa fue hecha para nosotros y una selección de platos para 3 vegetarianos y un comedor de carne fue servido. Estaba todo sabroso y tan lleno que tuvimos que sentarnos a tomar un segundo café para dejar que todo bajara. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

He comido en este restaurante muchas veces en los últimos 12 años y la comida y el servicio siempre son impecables, excelente comida por tan buenos precios. Gracias Mar Rojo!

Had a wonderful 40th birthday meal here with family and friends. Great service, delicious food and a cosy atmosphere. Will be back again!

I must have spent thousands at this place over the years. I go in there to be told they can’t cut any biltong because they’ve just cleaned the machine. Can’t spend even more money there just because some useless tool behind the counter wants to go home early. I’ll go elsewhere. This is clearly how they treat their regular customers now. Pathetic customer service.
