It was not until this wonderful business went on its annual holiday and we tried an alternative that we realised just how precious Peascher is. Hot food, made to order and always delicious. Every soup we've tried has slapped us in the face with authentic flavour and the care that has gone into its preparation. Please know that we appreciate you. We are out of range for Uber eats deliveries, but we travel to collect every time because it's really that good and is always ready at the time they say. So enjoy your break Peascher family, but we look forward to having you back ASAP!!

Visited with family for a birthday dinner and I've got to say when it comes to Nigerian cuisine, this was by far the most authentic I had tasted. With a wide variety starters and main courses from Suya, Puff puff, Gizdodo to Efo riro, Obe asepo, Edikaikong, Ayamase, Asorted meat, Isiewu, Nkowbi, Afang, Oha soup, Abula...phew, it was hard to make a choice. I particularly enjoyed the Oktail peppersoup, very rich with a good balance of spices. Atmosphere was warm, staff were friendly and it was great value for money. I only wish it was right up my street!

Came here with my parents for dinner. We ordered suya for starters and it was really nice, soft and tender. I had pounded yam with efo riro for my main and we had puff puff for desert. We all enjoyed our food, the wait wasn’t long, service was good, prices decent. All in all everything was good and I will go again. My parents love it here and they come often but especially for the fish.

I dropped in for lunch with my kids during half term. The restaurant was quiet at that time of day, which was perfect to be able to enjoy a relaxing meal. My kids are vegetarian and the chef was extremely helpful with her recommendations for suitable dishes. We ordered plantain, yam, rice and a spicy tomato dish. It was a new culinary experience which all three of us enjoyed. The food tasted amazing and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely go again if we find ourselves hungry in Gravesend in the future

I cannot get over how horrendous our experience was at this place. We came to celebrate our grandmas birthday and had booked and made pre orders week in advance. When we arrived at the time scheduled, there was no space for us to sit and after patiently asking for our table, we had to rearrange it ourselves as nothing was being done after 45 mins. On top of this we waited another hour for our food to come out in different intervals which was not ideal. They were so understaffed that I even had to become one of the waiters by getting basic things such as cutlery for our food, cups for our drinks, our drinks order self. Now the icing on the cake … the chef/ owner was so audacious it was unbelievable. Instead of her to apologise for the lack of organisation and service, she came out shouting and screaming at the top of her lungs unprovoked saying that she shouldn’t of taken our booking because shes so stressed. I’ve never seen someone own a business with so much victim mentality. She got even worse when we were trying to organise the bill while she had intervals of screaming at the top of her lungs again unprovoked. No patience, no humility, absolutely NO accountability and no regard for my grandparents who were there to enjoy their birthday, it was so uncomfortable to see. She was constantly telling lies and did not want to listen to what anyone had to say. She overcharged for food that did not come to our table and her response whenever we tried to question it was shouting once again, playing the victim. To avoid her continuing on with her wrath, we just had to pay the difference which was very questionable. There was so much that was wrong with our experience and was a shame that her disgustingly rude behaviour became the focus of something that should of be celebratory. Not all places need to be restaurants, just stick with takeaway- this place was the perfect example for this. Avoid at all costs!!

Extremely disappointing. I order from this restaurant often and usually enjoy the food so we organised for our grandma to have a birthday dinner party there. I’m still in shock at how bad the customer service was. We could have let go of the fact that they hadn’t prepared properly for our booking (I.e the tables were not even arranged when we arrived and even after waiting for 45 mins we had to eventually arrange the tables ourselves; there was no cutlery on the tables or brought out with our meals, we had to beg them often more than once for a spoon to eat rice; our food came out in 30 min to 1 hr intervals even after pre ordering) but the moment that ruined the whole evening for my grandparents is when the chef (and I’m assuming owner) screamed at our party, embarrassed and belittled us in the establishment by making remarks such as ‘don’t come here if you don’t have any money’. I’ve never experienced such horrible horrible customer service. Many people in my party left the restaurant in tears and it seemed that the owner couldn’t care less. I’m sure hosting a large party was stressful for her but it does not excuse her hateful language and lack of decorum. I honestly hope that she reflects and changes her attitude towards customer service especially if she wants her business to grow and prosper. To the owner, please reflect on how you treat your customers; if you want your business to grow, they are your bread and butter. Finally, I would not recommend any parties higher than 2 eating at this restaurant. There are plenty other Nigerian restaurants in the area that I hope would give you a better experience. Sadly, as much as I’ve enjoyed my past orders from Peasher and love to support small businesses, I shall not be returning. This is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to leave such a long review which speaks to how upsetting the entire experience was.

The food was great but the customer service was absolutely abysmal! We came as a large group so booked and sent our orders weeks in advance, yet when we arrive we still have to wait 1 hour to be seated, after moving the tables ourselves. Our meals came out at random intervals over the course of an hour and a half and we constantly had to remind the servers to bring cutlery with our meals. The chef then had the audacity to blame us for her lack of organisation, and then very rudely shouted at us when we told her some of our order was missing. Customer service needs a lot of improvement!

Terrible customer service. Food is too expensive for the customer service to be so bad! I ordered Ewedu from them and they gave me very small portion of ewedu and drowned the bowl in stew. I called to tell them about it and placed another order and asked for them to do it separately and they asked me to pay for the extra bowl. Instead of them to do it as a complimentary thing for someone who orders from them all the time, and not small orders, I spend a lot, a whole lot, one would think they would value their customer's and try to make them happy, especially seeing a regular customer unhappy with the previous service, other restaurants will try to make their customer happy but no, not peashers. Instead they are demanding I pay extra. Good customer service is everything to me and you have just lost a loyal regular customer now. Good-bye and goodluck!

When we arrived the staff were pleasant and the service was friendly and good. Unfortunately there was a dreadful smell and we thought should we leave but we decided to stay. It was the smell of old rotting meat. The food was not great. For the starter I found the the meat inconsistent in its texture and some of it inedible. For the main the rice was beautifully done but the fish was very plain. I will go back in a couple of months and I hope they get rid of the smell as that put me off the experience.

First of all, forget everything you see on the menu. Whenever I call they would give me prices different from the menu. I used to go to this place nearly everyday for lunch, even though the food is not that great. But their customer service is what drove me away. The last time I went in, I had called beforehand to order and I was told my food would be ready in 30 minutes. When I got there, they mixed my order up and gave it to someone else. 1 hour later, my food was not ready. My lunchtime was gone, I had not eaten any lunch, and i was late for work. I left and rang them to deliver the food (I only work 5 minutes away) they said they don't do delivery (even though it says delivery on their fliers), all they told me was "sorry". I was appalled. Very appalled. The least they could have done was offer me some compensation considering I was a regular customer and this was entirely their fault. But I guess some Nigerians just don't care about customer service. I swore never to step foot in there again and this is the first time I have ever left a google review. Shame on you peasher.

Good decent Nigerian food but remember to tell them in advance how spicy/hot you like your food otherwise, it’ll be random. I’ve even there a few times and the first few times I went I didn’t say how spicy, one time is mild, another time, it’s super spicy that I couldn’t even eat the food. You might like spicy food that obliterates your taste buds but that just feels like punishment. When it wasn’t so spicy, food is delicious. Some of the staff can be a little nonchalant so you may need to have some patience. The food is worth it.

Never felt so unwelcome before. The lady at the door rolled her eyes when we told her we wanted to dine in. When she took us to the table she said they were pretty much sold out and we didn’t have much to choose from. We ordered different dishes to share and requested it to not be spicy as I’ve lived in the Caribbean and know how spicy food can be. The food came so spicy that we had trouble eating it. We couldn’t taste any flavours it was just too hot. Despite all that I didn’t want to give in and finished my food just to show them that they can’t put us down like that. Our eyes were burning and watering, nose was running, ears beeping and my insides were on fire. I love hot, spicy food but that was ridiculous. Surely they’ve done that on purpose since they didn’t wanna serve us in the first place. There’s a new African restaurant at the Woodville, I will try that, I’m sure they’re nicer there.

The very rude lady answered me by saying: we are a restaurant, not a bakery! What restaurant sells beans with no bread? If you expect people to eat your beans, wouldnt you at least sell bread or know someone who does or at least be nice about it. The sales girl (i am sure that's what she is, cos no business owner in their right mind would treat customers like that) was very rude. Ofcourse I had to drive 20mins to tasty in dartford to get my bread and beans but i was definitely greeted with smiles and cheer there. I gathered here with friends on one of my trips to the UK, and we all I had different meals. I had my local Niger Delta (Nigeria) delicacy, starch with palm-nut sauce along with fresh fish and snail. It was so well prepared, I remembered my 98 year old grandma. I ate the local way as I believe that´s the only way to enjoy it´s complete tantalising flavour. I was so satisfied, a few days later I returned. This time though, alone. I had amala, ewedu and gbegiri. I was so filled up and satisfied, it felt like I´d never be hungry again. The abeyance was also welcoming and soothing. Different people trooped in to have meals, so it gave room for conversations with strangers. I particularly enjoyed a guy who grew up in Ibadan. He seemed a regular guest. We talked about how it was, growing up and the pranks we played. I had as much fun chatting him up as I did devouring my meal. The restaurant itself is very neat and well organised. The proprietor and proprietress are well cultured, well mannered and very friendly professionals in their field. It was easy to see. I was served by an equalling well behaved and ever smiling lady, Augustina. Keep it up guys, I will certainly be returning.

My husband was born in Nigeria so knows authentic food when he tastes it. We have been here s few times over the years as it was recommended by a friend and is only a 20 minute drive. Parking is very easy. We park in car park which is 2 minutes walk away. We always notice cars parked in the road outside; but that’s brave of them and I wouldn’t risk adding an additional £60 to the cost of my meal with a parking fine. The restaurant front is narrow but inside it is deep and spacious. The food comes in generous portion sizes and tastes lovely. Between us we have ordered so many different dishes, but my favourite is always the jelloff rice. I won’t go on to name other individual dishes but whatever we have ordered has never disappointed. I always love visiting this place because of the friendly clientele. I enjoy people watching and the people who visit to collect their take away meals are friendly and on good terms with the staff. I see this as a great compliment to the owner. We always leave here full, content and planning our next visit. I visited this restaurant with my two daughters for a late lunch on the Saturday afternoon. I experienced the worst level of customer service I've encountered for a long time. The waitress was obviously overworked and stressed, having to work as well as look after two children at the same time. She was unprofessional, cold, abrupt and unfriendly. When we asked for the lunchtime special, she snapped back that it was only available between Monday and Friday. When I enquired how long my food will take to be served after waiting for around half an hour, she was not concerned and said it will take another 5 to 10 minutes. She didn't offer any apology or enquire at the kitchen about what was going on. I requested children's food to be mild, but my request was ignored, as with my request for one of the meals to be split in two for the children. The food was ok, the pepper soup was good, but small. It is hard to get Jollof rice wrong. The toilets were horrible and on top of this I was overcharged. Worst of all and unsurprisingly, one of my daughters was up in the night ill; i believe as a result of the poor quality service provided by Peasher restaurant. We shall not be visiting again and hope this review prompts the owners to address these issues. All in all, very disappointing.

Terrible customer service from the manager herself ,argues with customers and very stingy she would charge you to rectify her mistakes

This is my favourite place to eat in Gravesend and no matter what i order they never disappoint. Very friendly. The food is cooked from fresh when you order. A real taste of home cooking. I love the food.

Nice cosy place for African food....or should I say Nigerian dishes. The prices are reasonable and the dishes are very delicious. We had a Bachelors Eve here on a Sunday evening and it was a good one with guys rolling up their sleeves to dive into their meals of pounded yam, Amala with all manner of soup ranging from Ogbono, Efo Riro, Afang with Assorted meat. Also afrobeat tracks were being played on the background at a reasonable volume. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Came here for a birthday meal with friends after seeing such good reviews. This unassuming restaurant in Gravesend was a hidden gem. The Server explained the menu to us- helped by photos on the wall. We were served freshly cooked delicious food. We took our own alcoholic drinks- and were provided glasses and bottle openers. The service is unhurried and relaxed. Metal chopsticks and spoons are the supplied cutlery. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend if you want a change from Chinese/Indian.
