A wonderful selection of food and well prepared seafood. A local gem. It wasn't very busy, which is good if you have overstimulation issues. Portions are great, so I wouldn't over order!

Excellent food and atmosphere, a huge shoutout to the waiter who ran after me with the pizza box I forgot in the restaurant!

The best prawns I've had in a very long time. The Tomato sauce for the prawns was the best I've ever had more of a bisque. The Pizza was excellent. Highly recomend. Service is great. As for the atmosphere it was great for a lunchtime. House wine is good also.

What a great place to come was my first time here with friends to celebrate a birthday the food was fantastic we all had pizza after our waiter (Arek) recommended it and I'm glad I listened to him best pizza I have had in kent!! The Vermenttino wine wine that we had was an absolute gem and paired beautifully with all off the food we had. Couldn't recommend more

Booked for a big family meal for a birthday celebration. Lots of the family have been and loved it hence why we booked there, to say we was disappointed is an understatement …. Service unfriendly food forgotten about 2 hours there and not even had starters. Not even an apology food standard was awful, not once was we asked if we was happy or needed anything absolutely awful service. Not one to complain but this time something had to be said.

Independent Italian restaurant in Gravesend,Kent. Pleasant surroundings and comfortable seating. I found my food both tasty and authentic. A lovely hand stretched "Napoli" pizza 🍕 with Anchovies and capers creating a great taste combination. The restaurant exceeded my expectations and I would gladly return.

We took an unplanned stroll into town on a lovely June evening & decided to stop & have dinner in Alto Gusto. Things started ok, we were seated & our drinks & food order was taken, we opted for a bruschetta starter which was very nice, mains were sea bream & chicken breast, both perfectly cooked & very nice. However during our meal, the owners children were running around the restaurant & it was quite a distraction, also other family members were sat at the bar, watching videos at a loud volume on their phone, which was also very distracting for the customers. Both of us are from a catering background, we could not fault the food or the service, it was superb, but when people are paying good prices for that food & service, things should be right, it is a restaurant not a family entertainment or childrens play area, this needs to be addressed with a reference to paying customers. Although this was a midweek experience, there is no excuse for taking your eye off the ball, especially considering the cost. We usually give any new place at least two visits, but we have no intention of going back.

We are in the UK. Almost zero expectations. However, a wonderful surprise!! Spectacular pizza. Welcoming staff. Would I go back? Very willingly!

I have been for a Easter dinner with my family on 5th of May. I highly recommend to everyone as from menu which was very tasty to the attitude of staff everything was great. Went expecting great things having read all the positive reviews on Google and TA. On arrival we were seated by the bar area which looked a bit dishevelled. There was food,straws and bits of rubbish allover the food. There were kids running around the restaurant which we could only presume belonged to friends or family of the restaurant owners…drinks were served and our starters and main orders taken. The bruschetta and the fried pizza dough were excellent. The chilli nduja with the pizza dough was warmed with a small flame which we both agreed was a great idea. For my mains i had the chicken,mushroom pasta in a creamy sauce which was delicious however the wife’s Calzone was undercooked. It was cold in the middle although cooked outside. The waitress was quick to apologise and offer a replacement. The wife decided to have a pizza. This was excellent with the dough light and thin. The whole experience was a little underwhelming considering all the positive reviews and we can only assume the restaurant was having an ‘off’ day. However we will not be returning in a hurry as there are other Italian restaurants in Gravesend that are consistently good.

I absolutely love this restaurant. Food was amazing, great atmosphere and they make fantastic cocktails. Some friends shared the t bone steak and both halves of it were wonderfully prepared.

Restaurant offered lots of good options, we enjoyed our food and it was very reasonably priced. The dessert menu was slightly limited, but the starters and main course were lovely. Will definitely be returning.

We went for a lovely dinner, 3 courses each. There was a great singer in the lounge who was giving it her all. The food was amazing! And the cocktails were just as good, probably the only spot for a really good Aperol Spritz!

First time popped in after a show at the theatre and can honestly say we were not disappointed. The service and food was excellent. We will definitely be back when we are In Gravesend

Tbh-visited this restaurant years ago, before covid. Just checked to see it’s still open- reviews are deserving. We had pizza and pasta at the time- the most delicious pasta I’d ever had in my life and my companions loved their food!! And the service- impeccable; just the right attention and friendly. Well done for keeping it up 🙂

We were exploring Gravesend and decided to try this restaurant. Lovely calm and peaceful atmosphere. Warm decor. Music not too loud which was very ideal. A lovely background music added to the chilled vibe. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and kind. Attentive yet not intrusive. Nice balance, to check you have everything you need and yet they gave you time and space to enjoy the dining experience. The food was very good. Can't get more authentic Italian pizza's here! Highly recommend! 👍 The pizza base was ideal, not too hard to cut through unlike some pizza establishments. Just enough bite, not too thick or thin.👌 We ordered a garlic mushroom to share for sides. Very fragrant and a good balance of seasoning. Just👌. The pizza came out lovely and hot, perfect! 👌 Fresh ingredients and I really enjoyed the aubergines on the pizza. I had the vegetarian pizza and my husband had the pepperoni pizza I will definitely visit again, but next time with my family and friends to enjoy together. Menus presented were clean, clean crisp table linen and clean utensil. Not sticky or dirty. Drinks served in glasses were nice and clean too. No dirty residue from washing. I personally found the price to be very reasonable. Decent portion size, friendly and helpful staff and overall the experience has been very pleasant indeed. We have frequented this restaurant for several years and it has always been great. However, tonight, my husband ordered the carbonara which was smothered in Parmesan. (He doesn’t like cheese!), usually it’s brought up separately to add to the dish. We asked for a replacement (which they did with an attitude from the owner). Admittedly it was described in the menu with it, which was our fault but the attitude when we questioned was terrible. We will not revisit. Change of owners with plenty of attitude!

This was our first time visiting and it did not disappoint. It was an experience not just food. Our waiter (Serge) was so attentive and his service did not deteriorate as the restaurant became very busy. I can honestly say that this has been the best Italian I have had in this country. We shared a bread basket, olives and the mixed bruschetta - so fresh. Our children had pasta and didn’t leave one bite. My husband and I shared The Cowboy Steak - absolutely amazing! The home made red wine was just gorgeous (house). Great quality meat and cooked to perfection. We can not wait to return with all 6 of our children.

It was our first visit to this beautiful restaurant this weekend and it certainly won't be our last. The staff and service was fantastic from the moment we all arrived and the food tasted delicious, please don't hesitate to visit this hidden gem you won't be disappointed. We have already reserved a table for a return visit in December.

Went for dinner Saturday evening with my wife, son and parents. Service was excellent from start to finish and the quality of the food served was extremely high. Top marks for value for money. Will certainly return in the future. So good to see (and visit) an old style Italian restaurant as opposed to the bland sameness of the Prezzo, Ask, Zizzi etc chains.

Great restaurant, service & meal. Easy to book online on Google as well as modify the time (as we were running a bit late). My partner and I came here for a birthday meal and wer3 pleasantly surprised about how delicious the food was. Starters were great, especially the prawns - they came in a beautiful sauce. The wine selection was great and well described on the menu. We had lasagna and the seafood Linguini and both were amazing. I would definitely recommend and we'll be coming back often in the future.

Food was amazing! Staff were so kind and even spoke more languages! Went for a birthday aswell and came with a dessert of choice with sparkler candle 😊

Probably one of the best pizzas I have ever had and as my figure will testify, I've tried many. Had the burrata and a companion had the Bianca.

Food was absolutely delicious..

Absolutely fantastic, attentive service, they opened the wine to let it breath before the main, water for the table provided without asking. A steak the size of a small fist seasoned with rosemary and rock salt cooked fo perfection and glorious vegetables simply cooked. We will be coming back.

Always a good lunch here and I love the way the seafood spaghetti is served in a boat and always lots of seafood in it. I also like the pizzas which are baked perfectly. My friends and I eat here regularly and have never had a bad meal but, most importantly, the wine is well priced and very palatable.

Very nice traditional Italian, love the decor and lighting and especially like the walls full of drinks , corks and Italian things! The service was very good and the food was amazing.

We've drove past this place many times and actually thought it was just a normal bar by seeing the crowds of people outside.. we went in there today and fully surprised what a hidden gem this place really is. Italian beautiful menu i had the cabonara and my husband had the seafood linguine... very tasty and worth every penny.. I cannot believe I haven't tried this place before . Went for a celebration meal with the family. Lovely food, excellent service. Garlic prawns to start and all the mains were really great. Will go again for special occasions. Very accomodating of our two kids and we saw other families there too.

Wow ! My third visit and I was going for my favourite seafood linguini but I saw the waiter taking a steak to some other table and quickly I changed my order . Was to die for ! Me and my son had a dinner date and ge gave a 10 out of 10 too . Freshly made , to perfection , good quality steak and cooking on point , pizza so simple yet so delicious. This is the best steak compare restaurants like GAUCHO, NOBU etc. Test is fabulous. 2. Size of the steak I never saw in my life (I am very serious). 3. Atmosphere - like at home, very friendly, all stuff like your friends (but I never saw them before). 4. £50 for 1kg steak with some vegetables, oh my days, I am typing this review and already hungry.
