Decided this morning that I would really like Pie Mash and liquor for lunch. Checked for delivery options and found Uber Eats delivers, I am not reviewing Uber but Sie's Pie & Mash. I have been eating traditional pie & mash for over 50 years, have eaten many times at Manze, G Kelly, Goddards and Harrington's at Tooting which has always been My favourite. I have to say the Pies from Sie's were right up there, better than most of the others I have tried. The mash was proper mash, not pureed rubbish served in some restaurants. It was really apparent that good quality potatoes were used and mashed traditionally. The Liquor was also as good as it gets. For some of the people who have mentioned in their reviews regarding the seasoning of the pies they should be aware that splitting the pies open and a liberal sprinkle of White pepper followed by Chilli Spiced vinegar makes the pies taste as they should. Highly recommended, will definitely be using again soon. Many thanks.

Had double double for lunch today. Lots of liquor, chilli vinegar and pepper. Proper British grub. Price was reasonable and the service was quick and friendly. Well worth a visit if you like Pie and Mash.

I had a wonderful experience at Sie’s Pie & Mash! The traditional vibe made me feel right at home, and the service was friendly and attentive. The pies, especially the vegetarian option was delicious and authentically made, without unnecessary twists. I left feeling grateful for such a genuine dining experience. What a lovely pie And Mash shop, all home cooked and fresh. Full of flavour. Also does a fantastic lyrics freshly cooked whilst you wait all day breakfast. Full of flavour. Not like some breakfasts where the bacon taste like the sausage and the egg tastes of beans. You can taste all the flavours individually. Reasonably priced too. Staff are wonderful. Everything is clean and once again food is fresh not the day before or mass cooked and left on the side. 10 out of 10 for me. Manuel Gomez #teamgomez

A top quality pie and mash shop, prices a little higher than what you pay in East London but good for out side of London, the food is traditional and excellent, clean and friendly inside. A proper pie and mash sold here.

Absolutely fantastic place. The best pie and mash shop in Kent by far and I’ve tried all of the ones I’m aware of. Lovely staff, great prices, tasty well filled pies, smooth mash and delicious liquor, they even do sarsaparilla like the M.Manze pie shops in London have done for the past 100 years. I live near grays so made an event of this and so glad I did . I took the ferry from tilbury to gravesend ( £ 5.50 return ) and walked via the shopping centre shops and the Robert pocock wetherspoons . The shop itself has a lovely old London atmosphere with authentic tables and benches . Lovely pies , mash and liquor . We’ll worth the excursion coupled with the ferry ride across the Thames . Lovely !

Fantastic service. Pies are amazing. Went there sat didn't realise they didn't take card. So I waited with coffee whilst partner went and got cash. The owner was even going to let us have it for free as they were due to close. Well worth the money it is spotlessly clean and yummy food. Thank you. Sarah.

I can’t quite pick what is better, the food or the amazing service I received. To start, the food is delicious - true authentic pie and mash, made fresh with great flavour! The ladies who served us were so genuine, fun and caring. They took time to check all ingredients due to my lactose intolerance, and didn’t make me feel like an inconvenience which was such a lovely experience. I will definitely be returning as well as recommending friends and family visit

Our first time in here,our granddaughter asked if she could have fried egg and chips for dinner. Lucky enough her grandpa wanted pie,mash and liquor. I had jacket potato. Food was delivered hot and served by a lovely young pleasant lady. Our meals were delicious and all plates returned empty. Lovely cup of tea to wash it down...even took some pie and liquor home to my dad. Will definitely return on next trip to Gravesend.

Popped in here to kill time whilst waiting for pooch who was getting his fur snipped. Had take out jacket spuds before but Ive never eaten in. I went all out! Double pie, double mash and went cockney and had liquor. When in Rome. Cost, a reasonable £8.20. Was yummy and hit the spot.

When in gravesend my wife and I always pop in for a piece of east London fayre! The ladies are always very attentive! And the pie and mash is amazing! I’m Always wanting more

I'm really disappointed, the spuds was rock hard an lumpy . Good quality potatoes go along way.. The liquor was bland an taste less..the pies were dry inside. Unreal!! My order came to nearly £40 what waste of money.. I've never had to put so much salt on my dinner. I also ordered 2 children meals, the chips were still hard in middle. An I also got half cup of beans for two kids to share!! Sorry but def will not be ordering from here again

Felt I needed to review based on the delivery service today. I ordered through Uber Eats and wondered how pie, mash & gravy could get to me and be as good as I’d have in the restaurant. It said 35-40 mins to deliver- I live in the Windmill Hill area and it took less than half an hour from when I pressed the submit button (this was a weekday lunchtime)! The pie and mash comes packed in a box and the gravy in its own pot- double wrapped to keep it hot. By the time I’d dished it up and settled down, the meal was still too hot to eat! The pie and mash itself was great. For that value and delivery service (I know it’s Uber Eats but they did all the hard work) I’ll definitely be ordering again.

Whenever I go to Gravesend I always eat here. The food is always to a very high standard, it’s hot, and always very tasty. They use good quality potato’s. Whether you go for the Mash or have Chips they always taste great. The place is always busy, and that speaks for itself. Would highly recommend this Pie and Mash shop to anyone.

I’ve been having Pie & Mash since I was a kid. My uncle used to take me to the one in Dartford every other weekend before we went to the football. Sadly that closed down years ago, but fortunately Sie’s came around. I’ve been to Manze’s, Arments, Cooke’s and all the others in between, and I’m not going to get carried away but Sie’s is just as good as any of them. (Yet miles better than Goddard’s in Greenwich) They even have Sarsaparilla. (If you know you know). My only complaint is the last time I was in there, most of the people eating at the time were having English Breakfast’s and jacket potatoes and stuff, I mean come on, there’s plenty of places to get a fry up around the town. They should sell pie & mash and nothing more, if you don’t like it, on your bike! I hope they stick around, I’d like to take my kids there when they’re old enough. Keep up the good work.

As I was in the area, I thought I get myself pie, mash and liquor. Unfortunately none of the 3 stood out. The pie pastry was chewy, the mash was dry and the liquid tasted like thick water. I want be visiting again, but hey the place was busy and some people like the food...but for me...it didn’t do anything. My solo visit was a one time visit...no returning custom from me.

I've been checking out as many pie and mash shops as I can while we still have them! Sie's was a lucky find as I was catching the ferry back to Tilbury. Best value so far and chilli vinegar head-and-shoilders better than the rest. Pie, mash and eels all perfect. Make a point of visiting and help ensure we keep this gem of traditional English cuisine alive and well!

I cant remember when I last went to a pie and mash shop and was pleasantly surprised at Sie's Pieand Mash shop in the St Georges Centre in Gravesend. Their menu has lots of the old favourites from England's distant past. Whether its Pease Pudding and Faggots or Pie and Mash with Liquor you are looking for, they have it all. They even do Vegetarian Pies. Its the sort of warm hearty food that certainly will polish off any hunger pains. I'm on a health mission at the moment, so I only had the single pie and mash with liquor. I simply couldn't resist it and it was every bit as good as I remember in any Pie and Mash shop Ive been to in the past. They also do takeaway and the prices are very reasonable.

Sie's pie and mash wow. Had a large breakfast here today double eggs, bacon and sausage with fresh mushrooms, tomatoes, fried bread and toast and of course a cop of tea all for £5.35 Best value breakfast in Gravesend by far. I'll be back

Had a lovely breakfast here. On walking to the counter, instantly found myself in jolly banter with the fun lady behind it wearing a Jingle Bells jumper. Put me in a good mood straight away. The Large Breakfast and tea only cost me £5.50--I call that value. Two spot-on eggs, two decent sausages, bacon (a bit chewy), good mushrooms, lots of beans, 4 half slices of buttered toast. Get in! Just what I needed with a hard day's hiking ahead. Of course the speciality here is pie and mash, so I'd like to come here another time to sample that--they do it the traditional way, with liquor. Encouraging to see a place like this spick and span in a modern precinct, though they've made the interior nice and traditional. Locals were in, which is a good sign.

Excellent Pie and Mash, the best I have tasted for a long time, my partner loves their Chips amongst the other high quality food they serve. Well worth trying, once you’ve been once like us you will return again and again.

Visited today waited ages to be served. Came in for lunch but was to busy so had to go elsewhere! Came back later to order tea to be told they don't serve just drinks as it has been busy although there were many seats free at that time. Sat down and then we're asked to move as other customers were apparently leaving cos we had sat at a table of 4. It was stated we were sitting there with only a 90p cup of tea! Asking a customer to move with a disability and apparently only a 90p cup of tea! Is completly appalling! Iv never felt so unwelcome! I would never set foot in this place again and certainly wouldn't recommend to anyone
