Most of the food was lovely, most of the service was great and the atmosphere is good

Just had a lovely take out meal from here, arrived hot, delivery time was 65 mins which is acceptable. Lovely flavours and good menu choice.

A menudo me llevo a mí mismo para el almuerzo aquí y también en ocasiones recibir la entrega a través de deliveryoo. ¡Este lugar nunca decepciona! El curry verde es el mejor curry tailandés que he probado. Simplemente brillante. ¡Muchas gracias!

Told they didn't have a table when they did

We had booked a table for the 27th December 2024 to celebrate my Husbands 66 birthday but the company who we booked through did not tell us that the Thia on Aire were only doing take aways and delivery. David who owns the Thia on Aire phoned us to let us know and bent over back wards to make sure we received our meal on time and I must say the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant/ Take away and Thank you again David x

My husband Tim and I went to the Y’Thai on the night of Mother’s Day. We go there a lot as the food is fabulous and the service so friendly and accommodating. I have a problem with garlic and normally Sunday night is buffet night so they said it would be no problem for them to cook me something special without garlic. At 7 the buffet rush had gone and we were told we could sit anywhere and have anything we wanted. The food was delicious and when we asked for a dessert they had run out but if we didn’t mind waiting they would make us another one. I can’t speak highly enough of all the staff who run this restaurant. It is such a pleasure to be there.

Fuera del menú principal hoy disfrutamos de comida tailandesa más brillante. Entradas de galletas de langostinos Manura, sidra de aspall para la comida. Seguido de pollo picado marinado en tostadas, semillas de sésamo, frito con una salsa de chile dulce. Directamente de la freidora a la mesa, caliente. Crujiente Gyoza - Relleno de pollo, verduras mezcladas con una salsa para mojar. Ambos compartimos un poco de cada uno. Un comienzo encantador con la red por venir. . . . . . . Mi esposa elige lubina al vapor con salsa de soja y jengibre. Una porción generosa de lubina, sin huesos, muy sabrosa, le encantó este plato. Pato en salsa de tamarindo para mí, delicioso. Arroz frito con huevo para los dos. Una pareja en la mesa de al lado dijo que estaba allí 1 vez en la calle, pero me encantó la comida y volveré. Un gran descubrimiento para encontrar la hospitalidad familiar tailandesa haciendo que comer fuera tan agradable.

An appealing, small restaurant in an excellent position near the pier with very good quality food and friendly service. Particularly good Tom soups. We will definitely revisit.

Ordered a takeaway for collection last night from this restaurant. My partner travelled out to pick up the food up and on arriving home and removing the lids we were very disappointed to find that they had given us the wrong order. I rang the restaurant to inform them what had happened however received no apology for this. We then had to ask for the correct order to be delivered instead of us having to travel out again as this was their error. With a lot of reluctance they agreed. When the driver arrived to our house he turned up empty handed and wanted the incorrect order back which had already been in our home, which really makes me question their hygiene given the current covid-19 pandemic. The driver was very ignorant and unhelpful. When I called back to the restaurant they said it was a different driver that had to bring our correct order back to us which we then had to wait a further 25 minutes for and on arriving the food was cold and had to be microwaved. It was also the same driver. After all this I had to ask on the phone for some form of compensation after what had happened, I would have like to think they would have offered it to us considering this was their error. Overall negative experience, will go else where in future.

Fantastic Thai, best in the business! The Pad Thai was great! I’d recommend it to anyone. ……………………..

Called in by chance and what a great find. Authentic dishes served piping hot and great friendly service too. Will definately be calling again. Excellent.

we went after being told about this place by a friend. food was lovely and really reasonably priced. waiting time for the food from ordering was a little longer than we would have liked however, very flavoursome, very cheap and lots of it. menu was great aand we will be going again with no reluctance.

Fuimos aquí para una cita nocturna con algunos amigos y no nos decepcionó, el personal era muy amable y acogedor. La comida era fantástica y fresca, todos estábamos muy llenos al salir. A pesar de que teníamos el especial de reserva anticipada, todavía era un poco caro, pero valía la pena el dinero.

Absolutely wonderful food. We chose this for my husband's birthday while on holiday in Whitby. We no longer have a local Thai, so really wanted to treat ourselves. It did not disappoint. My husband is lactose intolerant and eating out isn't much fun. The waiter here knew exactly which dishes to avoid - which is pretty unusual. The waiter was friendly, knowledgable and funny and gave good advice about the different dishes. The food was beautifully prepared and so delicious. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Even better, the food really was diary free. Out of the four places we ate in Whitby two were inaccurate about their food and made my husband ill. What a joy to eat somewhere where a dairy intolerance was not a big deal and the food was as stated. This is the first place I would come back to if we visit Whitby again.
