The best restaurants serving Thai food in North East

Used this takeaway for years, food always lovely however the past 8 months or so things seem to have changed, counter staff doesn't seem to listen, given wrong order too often, when certain ingredients make you ill and you stress none of that item on at least twice on ordering and still receive food with it in is so bad, luckily the ingredient is visible so they remake it for me or offer discount, not sure what a discount can do if I can't eat it. I usually collect as a 1hr 50 wait for delivery is too long especially when I was told 30mins, then sent it back as they put the ingredient in that makes me ill, another 50 minute wait on top of 1hr 50. Recently they have changed different prices to what's on menu due to cost of living and waiting for new menu, told to look online for new prices, why should I as I'm in shop looking at the menu you have on counter, a few month down the line that same menu is still on the counter with wrong prices but now you don't get the 2 poppadums advertised on menu with the set meal, questioning this when I collected food I was told its cost of living so we have stopped giving them, surely I should have been told this on ordering, i paid extra just because I'd been expecting them only to be charged more than price on menu 🙄 I was ignored when I questioned this, he turned his back and went on the phone, terrible customer service, the lad on counter isn't good for business. I've always recommended this takeaway to everyone, unfortunately no more. Food flavour great, counter staff terrible

The Nook area of South Shields is the second largest shopping area, in fact with closures decimating the high street, the nook is probably the place to be for top up shopping, takeaways and sandwich shops etc. We fancied a sandwich and had passed Munchies a few times. Ironically it’s a few doors from a subway and nearby Greggs. Deciding to support the local shop, we entered Munchies, it’s tiny with a table and two chairs outside but the menu of sandwiches, panini is, breakfasts seemed endless. Lady serving was really friendly and gave us time to choose. Both my chicken chilli panini and husbands sausage mushroom and brown sauce, were ideal for lunch. Will go back again when I have the munchies!

Food said it had arrived on the app when it had not already late. When I called to ask if the food was coming the man I spoke to was rude interrupted me said the food was on its way and hung up. Clearly this was untrue as 15 minutes later the food still had not showed up. I contacted just eat who then said the food was now on its way and would be another 15 minutes. I have placed an order online but never received order. They are liers and robbers. They have taken my money and were keep saying that your order is in kitchen then later on your order is on its way but they never delivered food and after that stopped taking call. Fraudulent restaurant

Food is amazing! My new takeaway, in fact the only decent takeaway round here! Salt and pepper prawns, chicken pad gra pao and Phuket prawns were so good.

Very good food, especially the Masaman curry. Great atmosphere and brought back lots of memories of eating street food when backpacking in Thailand and Asia. Lovely trainee waitress who was from Vietnam who was very friendly and helpful - doing a great job. Will definitely visit again.
