I visited The Cedar Tree with my family for a special birthday and was blown away by what an incredible gem this place is! There’s a lovely cosy feel to the whole place. The food was lovely and while we all had different starters and mains, I lucked out by ordering the Salt and pepper calamari which was just awesome. The hangin danglin skewers were also amazing. Whilst the restaurant was quite busy (first Sunday of spring) I couldn’t fault the staff. Our server was so friendly and efficient and yet unobtrusive. Just the right balance. For the price paid, this has to be one of the best value for money meals we have had in a long time. Overall, delighted to have discovered this gem of a place and we will be returning again for sure.

Visited here on Sunday with friends, haven’t been here for years as wasn’t keen the last time I ate here. Wow. What a lovely fresh feel it had about it, loved the updated mural. Our food was lovely and plentiful , had the mussels, meatballs , chicken in white wine and a cheese bake . It was very busy but the staff , checked back on us often , highly recommend the Sangria. We will be back soon

great place to eat, very good portion sizes, meaning you get served good sized portions, not skimpy tiny bits of things in the middle of a plate . staff always asking was everything alright. it does get very busy . just shows how much people came back. I would recommend this place for a meal to anyone in the area.

Wow has this place gone down hill! Admittedly it has been a while since my last visit here for food. It was a great experience. Had several tapas dishes all of which were delicious. This time however a very different story. The toilets where grubby and shabby the staff unhelpful and food was so bad we didn’t eat it! ( pics included) The cost of 12.95 for a plate of frozen fries with rock hard turkey squares , dry bacon bits and a squeeze of mayo! The baked potato and cheese looked as if it had been heated with a blow torch. Totally inedible. When we complained and sent the food back uneaten the boy serving grunted and that was that. Needless to say we will not be back.

We were celebrating with a big group of people and ordered the Tapas, the food quality was average but the amount was very poor for £20. Also they didn't serve the tapas at once, rather in bits. The staff was friendly but they ran out of wine glasses in the first half an hour and served the (not so cheap) wine in tumblers. The live music was good and the atmosphere was great.
