Popped in here for takeaway for the family. Fish nice and plenty of chips. Friendly Chinese lady. You can park round the back too.

We had passed by many times but decided to call in for an early evening meal. The Good - the menu is based on what is served in the adjoining Fish & Chip shop. The Bad - service was slow and the food was excessively greasy. The Ugly - the seats are uncomfortable, blue & pink flourescent lighting is a bit nausea inducing and the background music was not in the background but almost killed conversation. An interesting experience but I doubt we'll repeat it.

Terrible chips not fresh 2 nd time had this happen used from previous opening I expect dry crinkled and tasteless come on don’t be that tight you can’t afford to lose customers reheating chips

We had 3-courses for a great price. The food and service where also good.

The Ceilidh Place is really welcoming with a warm stove and lively atmosphere. The food was amazing and the service was fast and really friendly. Highly recommended 👌.

Smallest smoke sausage supper you have ever seen. Not even given half a smoked sausage. Not worth the money. Chips tasted sweet and a lot burnt. Overrated chippy

Sausages where nice but burger was bad

I was disappointed the last time I used it and again when I tried it recently. Found the servers rude and the food choices need updating. Don't they realise people have food intolerences?

They really need to learn how to cook a savaloy. It was rock hard, dry and inedible. Chips were only partially cooked and battered sausage greasy. Very very disappointed, won't go again

You responded to my review but I notice we can't respond to your reply. Has for the mini fish replacing the fish bites, this is untrue! The lad said it would be £4.90. Had he offered this as a replacement I would have accepted it. And also there were only 3 people in the shop

Fish and chips here are excellent quality, which is the reason for 5 stars. Well seasoned battered fish, and great tasting chips. I dropped a star because I did try a battered sausage here though, and it was the worst battered sausage I've ever had at a fish and chip shop. Seriously needs reviewing and changing out. Sausage was cheap, weird flavour with a soggy texture. I still rate the actual fish and chips top, just keep away from the battered sausage.

Miserable staff in here, dunno how they still have customers Always feels like your inconveniencing them buy going in and ordering Wouldn't care if the food was decent but its average at best and must better chippers in the area Not to mention the most expensive of them all Go elswhere 👍 you will thank yourself
