Absolutely awful!! The fish was off went straight in the bin!! Spring rolls were cold inside had to cook them myself in oven! The place has been going down hill for a while now certainly hit rock bottom would avoid it! Only went because Dinos was closed!

Had a slight mishap in the cooking department tonight so decided to order in from Mario’s. I usually go in personally and ask for fish to be cooked there and then so it’s as freshly cooked as possible. Normally it’s fine and chips are about average for anywhere these days – not great but usually edible. What arrived tonight was lukewarm, the fish batter was soggy and the chips were scraps most of which ended up in the bin. The only thing I can say good about it was that it came reasonably quickly which is strange since it was so bad. Maybe the fish had been hanging around in the warm cabinet and the chips were at the end of a run. Anyway not happy and will not order again if this is the best they can do.

I go to different cities around the world and sometimes inside the Scotland for Business meeting and follow my monthly job in some cities. Steping into restaurant always is boring and you have to change the location each time , since when you are constant customers some owners think that you just stick to the location and do not know others in nearby. Takeaways are best choice. I have tried many takeaways nearby in Glasgow and even in my trips in different cities of Scotland ! Mario's Loan-head is one of those which I recommend to friends. Super clean shop and kind and helpful staff ! I have tried fish & chips from menu for more than 10 times . Always I am satisfied !

Mario's had been recommended so as an avid contributor to this site, a recommendation seemed a thing to follow I went simple - fish supper The fish was a decent size, the one real plus. But the batter was lacking in anything interesting, almost as soggy as the light weight chips. £7.20 isn't cheap and frankly I expect a lot more for that amount. Disappointing. I'm also not sure I really want to support a fish and chip shop that sells half bottles of vodka and buckie

I visited Mario Crolla Loanhead last week and enjoyed their tasty fish n chips, actually I visited many times and never disappointed, tasty food and satisfying service.

Just had a Single Calamari yesterday from this shop, it took 50 minutes to arrive, little bit later than usual but i'm totally satisfied with the taste, planing to re-order soon for our upcoming party, i hope they pay attention to reviews and increase their delivery time.

When first i went to this shop , it was not that good, but they were OK and they were around my work space, so because of the fact that food was better than the other shops i ordered from this place for over a month almost every day. one time i told them that it is better to put some more tissues in the box , and the next time , BOOM , more tissues. After a couple o times , i told them another thing and they listened , and just like this , they are my favorite shop and always i am happy that they listen to what their customers have to say to them and they try to make themselves better. they were one of the best in the past , and by taking the customers advice they could rank up as fa as becoming my own favorite.

I discovered their Facebook page a couple of days ago and saw my favorite dish Calzones there, I had doubt to order cause I don't like takeaway stores but my friends insisted to try. so we ordered one 10" and two 12" Italian Style Calzones and at the end, only thing I can say is WoW, the taste, the spice, words are not enough to explain its deliciousness!!! Maybe I love calzone to much, I don't know. but have to admit that the order arrived a little bit late than usual. I'm still going to rate 5 stars for yummy calzone but if the manager reads then please take care of delivery time too. Thanks

yesterday i ordered three special pizzas for me and my friends, order arrived sooner than we expected and the meal was just awesome in one word! all of us liked it. well i'm planning to call them again soon :) :p Keep it up

yesterday I had guests unexpectedly to my new apartment n as I didn't have time to cook for them, decided to order from this lovely wee shop. food delivered on time and exactly as I ordered. we were amazed with the taste and quality. everything was as expected! defo will be back to place another order!

Small shop run by a friendly owner. Food is perfect, as other reviewers have said! Ordered a very fresh backed fish & chips n enjoyed it. Portions were huge! Great quality and value.I recommend this place highly!

Recently modernised. Extensive menu. Chips are usually nice and their fried pizza is particularly good.

Marios used to be excellent but yet again they have given us unsatisfactory takeaway food. It’s the poor quality of their chips which lets them down badly. When we land up having to chuck half away then for me it’s time to look elsewhere.

Ordered pizzas from marios for the first time as couldn't get an answer from Dinos who we usually use, BIG mistake!!! Pizzas were soggy and tasteless and ended up in the bin the order was also expensive compared to similar order from Dinos. I don't know why anyone would choose to eat from here when one of the best Chippy/pizza places is just round the corner, lesson learnt we certainly will never order from here again

The worst pizza ever, soggy, no taste and certainly a waste of money. Now I know why people go to Dinos!!! Wish I could return this garbage!! Never again and we use this place frequently 😪

Always found the food here to a good standard. Deliveries can be an issue with long waits so would suggest you go along to collect

Mi primera opción chippie en Loanhead sin duda! El pescado siempre fantástico y pollo son geniales... kebabs con el personal dispuesto a cambio de ajo salsa de mayonesa y hacer sólo lo que a usted le gusta. Pasta casera estupenda y si pides una pizza boloñesa (no en el menú) que en una sorpresa muy agradable.

I have never had a bad meal from Mario, either from the friers or one of the burgers, pizza or kebab. Have to admit that the Loch Fyne Pizza and the sweet chilli chicken kebab are my particular favourites

Pedimos un kebab especial para compartir y como mi compañero tiene una alergia severa lácteos nos explicó que los productos lácteos se mantienen separadas. La orden venía con un kebab con yogur de ajo mezclados. Llamamos a explicar y se ofrecieron a enviar un sustituto. Luego me comí mi compartir y esperamos para la sustitución de llegar. El conductor de entrega no podían darnos la sustitución ya que teníamos parcialmente comimos inicialmente ordenados. Cuando nos llamó a la pregunta es la señora estaba muy disgustado explicando "que no íbamos a DAR un servicio kebabs!" absolutamente chocante gratuito al cliente. No pidas de esta empresa, ya que no merece tener un negocio.

Nice chippy been here a few times and it is spotless! Great food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. Got fish supper and it was great.

The fish was not fresh. A must for me when buying a fish supper. It seemed freshly cooked but not freshly caught. I have given it a 3 based on a much better meal I had here a while back.

Nos dejó en aquí en nuestro camino para visitar a la familia, y nos sorprendió lo elegante y distinguido una tienda de chips podría ser! ¡Guau! Tuvimos una cena de salchichas, espaguetis a la boloñesa y kebabs de pollo, y todo estaba delicioso. Realmente disfrutamos...
