Now under new ownership and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Although I only had chips this time, they were beautifully cooked, crisp and not soggy. The new owners were so, so friendly! I will definitely go back again (and again!) and buy a meal for my family. Well done!

Tried this chippy once before and wouldn’t even rate it or go there again considering i live just around the corner. But now it’s under new management, all i can say is WOW, friendly smile great service, great taste, fresh produce, where as before, no smile no taste and dried up rubbish. Must give it a try. Would of left some photos but ate it all.

enjoy our fish and chips, son loves the sausage. Newly cook and loads of meat on the cod. Luckily there is no queue as well

Cold soggy chips. Cold kebab. Small portion of kebab meat. 3.80 for a "large" chips laughable. 1st time visiting and last time. Go to polesworth chippy. Bit more pricey but 100% better

Wont be using you again as food & service was crap attitude was terrible food was cold and made me and my sister sick you need new workers and sack the workers you got now

Ive been going to this fish and chip shop for almost 18 years so I thought I would leave a review. Generally its good. The female staff are friendly. The owner Zak is alright, not overly socialable but friendly enough. In the early days, when I moved to the area in 2003, portion sizes were massive, even the standard size was huge. Then as the years have gone by the standard size has actually become more of a 'standard' size. Their large portion is still faurly good. The quality of the chips themselves is reasonably good but not divine as such. The fish is not bad. I prefer haddock which is made on request only. For some reason they dont do haddock as a pre cooked ready to serve item in their heated display case. When I return home and start eating the fish and chips I cant help but think the fish could have done with a bit longer in their fat frier. Im not saying its under cooked but just feel it would benefit from being cooked for slightly longer if that makes sense? So all in all its a fairly good fish and chip shop and you wont be disappointed hopefully. I keep going back there anyway.

They catered a party for us very helpful it was very good Marie was so very kind and helpful all The guests enjoyed the food

Nice chips, natural roe to dried out may be to old.The owner Zak can be grumpy unless you can talk about football. Regards M Bryant

Called in for pie and chips which was needed as a hangover cure! Have in the past not been overly impressed with this place but have to say on this visit everything was good. Tasty chips and yummy pie.

Decent portions, fish ya decent size, and got enough chips, staff was very friendly, wouldn't rush back there but if I was in the area again I would have no problem in going again.

Stopped off after a long journey back from Wales as usual didn't disappoint fish,chips,mushy peas. Polite staff clean shop always.

Chips a bit chewy. Fish on the dry side. Staff ok and busy. Clean, tidy place. A bit of a walk from the dark carpark.

I will never go there again ,tasteless fish ,fried horrid burger ,chips under cooked and over done in same bag what an awful place ,try over other chip shop not this one

The owner looks really angry all the time. I always go on Tuesday because their is a friendly woman and young man who are always laughing and make you feel welcome. Food is average.

I have been a number of times an always find the owner Zack a miserable and uninviting person when at the shop, I have no complaints about the food, I just feel that some customer service skills wouldn't go a miss. Welcome your customers with a smile and at least make the effort to make your customers visit a good one. I would guess that if there was another option closer, people would surely not purchase food from this store

The chips shop is okay, ive been going here since i was a kid and its cleaner and better maintained than it use to be. The food is tasty but they never peel the potatoes properly so you always get chips with black bits or peel on them. We recently tried Polesworth chip shop which we found much better so will go there in the future

i love there kebabs and being in walking distance makes it so much better chips can be good but like the fish can be rough occasionally
