Dreadful food & service - wontons to start, only ate one between us as they were very oily and pretty tasteless. I had the duck, tamarind sauce was very unpleasant and the vegetables were rock hard. My daughter had the sweet and sour stir fry, but didn't eat it as it had a strange plastic/chemical type taste to it. We were given a dessert menu and 5 to 10 minutes later, the waitress lifted the menu and asked us to leave as they needed the table back! We were charged full price for everything, although only the duck dish was eaten. Won't be back!
We didn’t have a booking but the restaurant fitted us in which we really appreciated. We were not disappointed the food was exceptional and so was the service. The menu is small, but perfect. We all ordered a different main course and none of us were disappointed. I have a starter again, beautiful and the rest of the party a dessert again fantastic. The complimentary soup was a nice touch too. It was the first evening of our stay and it could not have been any better. A really great restaurant. Thank you.
Have been to Lass o Gowrie a few times now and it’s always such a lovely, welcoming atmosphere with delicious food. We came for breakfast with Santa on Christmas Eve and it was such a lovely and magical experience! We were welcomed by a wonderful elf who knew my wee boy’s name and had him giggling a lot throughout the morning! There were so many lovely touches such as a wee gift waiting at our table and a personalised colouring sheet. A lot of effort clearly went into making this a magical experience for all involved and it really paid off! Can’t wait to go back!
What a brilliant place! The staff are super friendly and made sure we felt right at home. The food options were tasty and accommodating as a vegetarian, there are also options for kids - my kids can be picky eaters and they absolutely loved the food here. I will surely be stopping in here next time I’m in the area!
We were greeted in a most welcoming manner on entering. We ordered two toasted ciabatta with amazing fillings. Both absolutely delicious and the apple and home baked cinnamon cake and the chocolate brownie were exceptional. Best my wife has ever had! This family business of over 23 years is well worth a visit and is extremely friendly. Top marks from us 👏👏👏👏
The best food had at the pavilion ! Beautiful prawn and salmon laksa with noodles was sooo good! The cod in Mediterranean sauce was amazing along with sharing plate of sweet potato and beetroot frittata, olives and warm bread followed by a fabulous tiramisu! Could not fault any of it ! Well worth a visit for great food and service at reasonable price !!! Thank you to Rosie and her team !
Me sorprendió muy gratamente después de visitar este restaurante, la comida era deliciosa, así como los cócteles, el personal era muy educado y servicial! Volveremos definitivamente 👍
Booked a table for 4 people last Tuesday night, the 4 of us had X2 the steak deal for 2, food was plentiful and tasty washed down with a nice bottle of red, great value for money, bar folks and people in the pub were very friendly, also managed to meet the owners dog winston who was very friendly ! Would highly recommend
Wonderful place. I had read about the Corrour Estate & have stayed nearby for a number of years & wanted to go there last year but was not organised enough. Got the train up from Roybridge - double check that there is a return train as it would be an epic walk back - delicious lunch of soup & a venison burger with several pints of the Corrour Gold beer and caught the train back. The location is other worldly & must be about as remote as you can get in the UK. Well looked after by the charming team of ladies working there today and will definitely return
A warm welcome awaits you in this little friendly restaurant by the campsite in the village. Lots of delicious options for veggies and vegans including deserts.
Sunday lunch the 26th of November and fully booked months ago. Easy to see why....Fantastic food great ambience and service. Very relaxing better than any Glasgow or London experience. Starters of local crab and stuffed mushrooms followed by the most delightful local lamb and beautifully cooked Haddock.Topped of by a lovely home made carmel and apple pie....a byo and no corkage charge . A big thankyou to bRino? In the kitchen and wonderful service from Valirie and Jessica..Alan and Christina Dunn Largs....a must visit for good food lovers.
Beautiful location, amazing art work (I would love to buy a canvas but couldn’t afford it so just bought some cards) and a good choice of things in the cafe for vegans which we were really pleased to find. Had a lovely vegan chocolate brownie. Thank you
Honest pros and cons review:
Firstly I want to say it was an overall great experience with friendly staff and amazing food. Please don’t let the following criticism keep you from trying the food. Now for the drawbacks: the plates, glasses, and silverware were, to put it frankly, dirty. Not the they didn’t wash it dirty, but more the dishwasher they used missed a spot here and there. The waiter and manager were quick to get new dinner ware, however, the issue persisted as there was grease residue even on the replacements and food particles stuck on some of the replacements. I’m a frequent Waffle House goer so some grease won’t stop me from trying the food and let me tell you, it was awesome.
We ordered mango lassis, mango chicken tikka, butter chicken, and chicken tiki masala along with some regular and garlic naan. The food was amazing, the mango chicken tikka especially. The staff was very friendly, including the manager who was constantly going to all the tables to ensure our dining experience was the best it could be. After speaking with him he explained they just opened back up today (9/25/2024 or 25/9/2024) after being closed for two weeks and needed until Friday (9/27/2024 or 27/9/2024) to have WiFi set back up. I am very inclined to say the cleanliness issue will be resolved soon.
