The best restaurants serving Portuguese food in Yorkshire and The Humber

It was an early lunch on a Monday so only a handful of customers, we were acknowledged by a lovely friendly waitress immediately on entering the restaurant, plenty choice on menu, food came quickly and was presented and cooked perfectly. Staff were friendly and attentive.Restaurant was clean and inviting, I would definitely return and recommend.

We went to Parkgate Nandos on 1/3/25(Saturday) There was 12 of us and a toddler, the food came out pretty much all together, very nice and hot. Staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much. Would definitely be going back there and I would recommend it.

Food was lovely and fresh. Cooked perfectly. Staff were not engaging. Just pointed us to the QR code on the table. Never spoke again after bringing the food.

Nando's: where my taste buds celebrate while my wallet quietly weeps. The chicken is worth writing poetry about, but the prices suggest these birds must have gone to private school. Finding parking in the casino lot during peak hours requires the strategic planning of a chess grandmaster. And yes, the service moves at the pace of a sloth on vacation—but when that perfectly spiced chicken finally arrives, all is forgiven. Like a toxic relationship with amazing makeup gifts, I keep coming back despite knowing better.

Nando's at Thorpe Park, The Springs, Leeds, offers a convenient location with ample parking, perfect for catching up with friends. While the food delivered the usual Nando's quality, and the service was excellent, the music volume unfortunately hampered conversation. Ordering was a breeze thanks to the easy online system. However, a disappointing aspect was the state of the lettuce in my Fino Pitta. It was mashed and clumped at the bottom, meaning I missed out on the fresh crunch until most of the pitta was gone. This small detail unfortunately detracted from the overall experience. While generally a good option, the loud music and the lettuce issue prevent a higher rating.
