Nando's in Rotherham

This has got to be the slowest Nando's I have ever visited, the service was ridiculous and it wasn't even that busy (no more than 30 people).

30 min wait for our meals, then they were cold, they were then replaced the 2nd came cold, ended up with a full refund

Lovely meal, staff were friendly and professional. Had a nice afternoon.

Didn't have a lot of what was on the menu

Food was standard but expensive not much to choose from and same with drinks nothing to choose from if you don't like fizzy drinks

Very expensive for very little food

No chicken on the bone, no burgers, 45 min wait for butterfly chicken in a 3/4 empty restaurant. Nothing to compensate for lack of menu. Terrible

Wow the ceasar salad is just a bowl of lettuce for £8.50!! Wish I'd take a photo, I would have been embarrassed to serve that. The managers attitude was appalling he needs some training in customer service or to rethink his career choice.

I moved to Parkgate three years ago, and as Nando's is my favourite restaurant chain, I was really excited. Alas, back then the experience was pretty terrible. However! About 10 months ago there was a management change and ever since then, this place has become the example of a perfect Nando's. The staff are always friendly and positive, the service is quick and efficient, and the food always gets at least a solid 8/10 for quality. Since this massive improvement, I've become a big fan of this place - my family eat there at least twice a week now, and the staff, including management, always take their time to make us feel like valued customers. TL;DR - If you like spicy chicken, come here.

A real hell hole for delivery partners, foods never on time and always get ignored for 10min until someone finally asks for your order number.. they need to change management hear because they don't care about delivery drivers. Very rude

Everytime we go they have key dishes off the menu. Whats wrong with your kitchen manager? Cant they do a food order correctly?

Well well well, we’re done start, food be hitting hard but the service could have hit harder. Tbh vibes not great, regretting not hitting that popeyes across the road. Lad eating the ice cream was a g, however he did kick the water machine and no one dared lips it after that…. Kind of can’t blame them, but look the boy was just being a g and being a g myself we look out for other fellow g’s. Anyway, when we left it was raining….. just got back home, fake tan time with my girlies gotta look pure flames ready for Bruce Springsteen. Love you all, stay safe

Food came quickly and with a smile. Great service and everything cooked as it should be .. not dry

Food was OK, chicken was nice, fries were blah! Could have been any takeaway fries, rainbow coleslaw was nice. Food was cold in too seconds, due to the temperature of the building being like Siberia, rediculous that you have to eat your meal dressed like Nanook of the north. Staff were miserable, rolling their eyes at customers. The restaurant was filthy! Dirty tables, food on the floors, under tables and chairs and on window shelves, even the seating was dirty.

I bought half chicken with rice and mash only to get home and see only quarter of the box with mash and less than half of the box with rice.

Went here yesterday. Manager reassured me they take gluten free orders serious and he checked through the ingredients list. Not all Nando's do this! Food was delicious. Would come here again.

Food very good. Not very clean at the table. the staff forgot to bring one portion of ice cream.

The staff in the restaurant were very cheery , knew there stuff and made sure we were doing OK and happy. The place is bright spacious and welcoming I ordered chicken breast spicy rice and rainbow salad , although cooked well and tasty I was really disappointed in the portion sizes of the side dishes, they came in Ash trays !! Poor .

Five star experience, beautiful food and exquisite service. I ordered the sunset burger, served by dave, online ordering process was easy and quick, food served to us perfectly cooked, and was less than a five minute wait. Restaurant area was clean and presentable, must visit

The service was shocking, a young lad to meet and greet customers had no customer service skills what so ever! He was just stood about when tables need cleaning and he was at the drinks machine every two minutes helping himself to a drink! No team spirit him in at all! The food was awhile to come out that’s fine and it was lovely when it did arrive at our table but the atmosphere was really unsettling, noisy, messy busy, needed a good clean and lack of staff in the restaurant.

Only giving it 4 stars as got my takeaway wrong a few times but only found out when I got it home. Other than that it's a typical nandos and staff are friendly and kind

Partner got food poisoning from here on the 14th January, waste of money

The atmosphere here wasn't the best, it didn't feel as cosy as other Nandos and more like a pizza hut. The food was ok, very over priced as Nandos always is but the main issue was the kids burgers, both of them ended up a gooey mess as the bun was too small and there was too much sauce on the chicken. I swapped my adult burger with one of the kids as I wasn't as hungry so it wasn't the children's messy eating! Next time I will try the new chicken place opposite I was impressed with their burgers when I tried on in meadowhall last time.

Atlas served us and was absolutely amazing friendly and constantly checking in and was just really polite, I know how hard the entire staff members have worked over Christmas and they still have a smile on their face. Lovely team! Great food!

Barnsley one was closed so quickly Called in this one 45 min before closing and got served up a lovely meal still. Obviously demolished it and got going so staff could get home. Even got a few extra fries so thanks for that guys! We appreciate it. Also this one is better than the barnsley one so our new go to x

Me and my girlfriend visit at least once a week, whenever we visit and the manager with chequered over shirt , black hair who works in the restaurant side is in he is always lovely to us - get him a pay rise .

Not impressed. Our food was sat waiting to be brought to our table for at least 5 minutes, and therefore was mostly cold. Very poor, I wouldn't visit here again.

Me & my friend ordered the chicken burger & a chicken wrap. Not one to complain but chicken was so cold so sent back. When it came back, my friends was ok but again mine was cold. The burger bun was hard & cold too. Don’t know if this is normal but the chicken was my main concern. The staff were lovely though but chef needs to learn how to cook chicken properly.

Was very upset to see only 1 member of staff working while the rest of the staff were all sat table talking. I feel this is very unprofessional as one of the women sat down was a manger and very unfair on the 1 member of staff who was actually working. This upset me as the member of staff who was working looked very sad and the other staff were sat laughing and having a lovely time at her expense. I didn't eat in the restaurant but I was watching through the window for a long time. Very unprofessional!!!!

1st time at this nandos same old nandos so you no what you are getting good food good service

Ordered a £14,50 meal and when it arrived it was only what i could describe as maybe a kids meal , the chicken butterfly was maybe 4 inch x 4 inch at most maybe 30 chips , shamefull

Popped in for a meal with the family. We were greeted professionally and shown to our seats. Underneath our table needed to be swept as it was messy but the young waiter did it quickly with no fuss. Food came out promptly and was lovely and the staff came over to check on us. It seemed to be a young team on that night and we're great.

Rude waiter, just threw my sons drink down at him. Had to send the mash back TWICE because it was cold in the center. The chicken was over cooked.... Would not go again 🤢

Nandos is nandos. However I would recommend, staff were nice and food was quick.

Bit of a disaster. The drink machine was broken, so I had to get bottled drinks from Greggs. Ordered using QR code, no half or whole chicken, so just ordered 3 starters and some wings. Not long after, I was told that they only had one of the 3 starters I paid for, so would I like anything else. Wings were OK, staff friendly enough, but it was my daughters first time at Nandos. I doubt she will want to go back.

Worst Nandos I've tasted. Called today with family. Food was out within 5 mins of sitting down. It was all cold so this could not have been cooked fresh. Tasteless and awful basically. Customer service shocking! This restaurant shouldn't be allowed to carry the Nandos brand. Rip off.

Garlic bread was awful could of broken my teeth on it it was that hard rest of our food was nice but nothing special would I go back no not worth the money

Ordered food and bottomless drinks and waited for glasses to arrive which they didn’t. Had to visit bar to be told no glasses and when washed would bring out. Bread was hard on all the burgers (nothing like the same meal I had a Meadowhall one only a few weeks ago). Just generally not a good experience here especially compared to Meadowhall

If I could give 0 stars I would. Awful service, stood waiting to be seated for 10 minutes no ackologment from any staff who continues to walk past us chit chatting about. Saw food being sent back multiple times. Overheard a 30 minute wait on take out order when the restaurant was near enough empty.

All our food was cold, the bread was chewy, emailed about the issue, reply was because it was delivered within 20 minutes of when it was expected they wasn't offering compensation, they obviously know theres a problem with the insulated delivery bags because there looking to improve them, so I suggest they stop the delivery service until they sort it, I never asked for compensation, so what there saying is long as it gets delivered on time doesn't matter about it being cold or poor quality, this is the first time I have ever had nandos and unfortunately wont be having another.

We went for lunch here. Amazing food and even better service from our waitress Abby. Service with a smile… 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend .

Best nandos we've been to and we've been to alot, the place just flows with a great atmosphere, its light airy and a great place to be in, food was amazing and every staff members were just great, fantastic experience wish we lived closer

Not that great. The food is ok but very small portions and the rainbow coleslaw was dry and shrivelled. Staff were nice but think the nando effect cannot survive austerity. Chicken and chips shouldn’t be £25!

Second visit, worked it out now so had a much better experience. Our server Owen was great, put a smile on our faces on a grey wet day, nothing was too much bother. Enjoyed the chicken thighs and rainbow coleslaw

First and last time going here. Ordered the sunset burger with hot sauce there was no taste or heat to it. The skin was still on the chicken which was very sloppy and the chicken looked a bit pink. The chips were scraggly with no taste. Really should have sent it back. It’s really expensive for what you get. May have been a bad day for them but really don’t see what people see in an over expensive place where the food is bland and not cooked properly. My opinion is avoid this place McDonald’s is cheaper and much tastier. Also my daughter ordered a plate of chips and a lump of something was on the plate couldn’t tell you what it was. They didn’t say sorry for that we’ll replace it they just said think it’s a bit of humous well are still gunna eat it. Never again

I would like to thank all staff at the parkgate Nando’s but a special mention to the wonderful Owen who every time makes my experience outstanding,he makes me feel welcome and never fails to put a smile on my face and make me laugh he is always there if there’s any questions to ask so Thankyou parkgate Nando’s big up Owen !!

What a shambles. Customer service was awful, cleanliness would have failed a food hygiene visit (food was all over the pass and everywhere on the restaurant floor)! We will never eat in this place again. Diabolical!

We went as a family of 3. Rude staff, dirty floors. Waited a long time for the food. Prices have gone up and service slow. Young kids are running it with no manors. I will.nit be visiting again. AVOID

Nice Nandos. Only thing i would say is the staff need to use their initiative a bit more. Like taking empty plates away when they bring mains out or desserts. Would come again for sure.

This was my first time at Nandos ,there are some of us left, not knowing what to expect but really enjoyed the experience and Owen my guide through the process was a diamond explaining everything to me which made everything even more pleasant and a lot less daunting. One of my best eating out experiences.

We have a few Nando’s close by to us but we always choose to go to the Parkgate Rotherham one as we find the staff there to be great. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they go above and beyond to make your experience there the best. Quick service too, and the areas which you get drinks and sauces are kept spotless too

The food was excellent, as always in this restaurant. Friendly, efficient staff. Felt safe & secure in there, during these mad Covid times. Very relaxed.

The chicken was covered in char - the grill needs cleaning as it was past the point of adding flavor, it no longer tasted of chicken. Chips and corn were fine. Atmosphere was nice. Wish could order easier to table as couldnt work out where to order drinks

I have tried this a couple of times now had a badly cooked delivery. Im just not keen it's not a restaurant it's fast food. Service is minimal due to the app process taking the orders, yet 8 tables were left with empty plates on for our entire visit. Staff apologised for a lack of staff and alot of the menu unavailable. Management need to step in and help the guys on days like this. Will not return to Nandos in Parkgate.

After not visiting any Nando’s since opening I am definitely a Nando’s Newbie. The food and service is really good. We were served by Amy & Britney and can’t thank them enough for their hospitality and help with the Nando’s app. We’re now collecting chillies and looking forward to the freebies. Thank you Rotherham Nando’s and we will be back soon!

Food was lovely but awful service so slow.

This is without a doubt the worst Nando’s I have been to! Being vegetarian I am fairly limited as to what I can eat here so for them to run out of mushrooms kinda sting… Not only had they run out of mushrooms but they had run out of Vusa sauce and original coke too! After waiting for almost an hour for food to arrive it was not only wrong but satisfactory at best. Give your heads a wobble and up your game Nando’s Parkgate!

It's hard not to give it 5* because it's Nandos. Always faithfully there, consistent and great. But for me, a 5* is for those incredible meals. The one offs'.

Lovely Nandos place, never too busy so good for when you're after a quiet meal together as a couple. Very quick service, we were in and out within twenty mins on our last visit. It helps we always order the same everytime so no meal debates. 😂
