Again generic responses to complaints. Clearly don’t care

In response to my previous review (Very poor service from the “manager”) … you’ve given a generic response saying “we’ve followed up with them so it won’t happen again” ABSOLUTE RUBBISH!!! you’re telling me that between the hours of 8PM and 730AM you’ve read this review and spoken with the manager? WHAT A LOAD OF LIES. You haven’t even offered to contact me to discuss this further, typical corporate response to look good on a public review. There is no way this has been followed up at all. PATHETIC

Very poor service from the “manager” not willing to sort out an issue with their own ordering system. No apology or anything. Won’t be coming back. Now I have to wait for a refund. Disappointing

I should have listened to the review from two weeks ago about the person complaining about stomach problems afterwards. Poor hygiene is a possibility, maybe it could be the sauces sat out. Do the sauces get changed often? I have no idea, It tasted great and the chicken seemed good, but something is going on at this restaurant obviously, and it needs to be investigated before a more severe H&S hazard occurs.

Avoid unless you want stomach problems. For a while we hoped it wasn’t caused by this food and it was something else we ate but today confirms it as it’s the only thing we ate and once again had horrible stomach problems. We eat at Nando’s regularly and only had a problem with this restaurant. Maybe poor hygiene of staff or contaminated food. The staff seemed like they had been dragged into work this morning as they just had no life in them, just seemed like they did not want to be there. And usually Nando’s staff is quite energetic and happy. Poor management, no morale and poisonous food. Oh and when busy you will wait and hour just to be stuck on the toilet for the rest of the day….

Attempted to visit twice, both times we've been told it's a 45 min wait despite there being many free tables. What's the point in having so many tables if you only have the capacity to feed a family of 5

We have just ordered two portions of liver today with a starter and drink. Starter was good but one of the Chicken liver was not cooked, raw liver, we asked them to cook further. They kindly offered a new portion. After waiting for 30min nothing arrived, when we asked, they were kind and apologetic kindly offered us refund or they could cook it quickly. We accepted the refund option but they could not manage to refund using the google pay, nor they could pay as Nando reward nor cash.It was taking too long and, it is too much hassle so we left not bothered with the refund. Kind people but not very good cooking or payment, therefore we will not go to this Nando again, but we will use the one we are happy in Castleford.

Only our second Nandos, after avoiding for years. Our son is a big fan so we gave it a go. Loved it and will be returning. We had the sharing wing platter, and the wing roulette. The wings just fall apart but have a lovely charre taste. Great value too

Came here with a group of 8 for my eldest's 18th birthday. We received above and beyond service. All the staff were fantastic and the food excellent but the manager went above and beyond make the meal special. They were out of pitta bread so they adapted my meal and I even received it complimentary to help celebrate the birthday! Absolutely made our day. Thank you. Would highly recommend.

Slow service, messy and the food didn’t represent the usually taste and standards of Nando’s.

Visited with my toddler and mum. Delicious food, fast service, friendly staff although they seemed quite busy. Love their portobello and hallomi pittas, so glad they brought them back to the menu.

Staff were ok if a little forced in their enthusiasm. Food was good but the place is in desperate need of a good deep clean! If the eating area is grubby then I dread to think what the kitchen and prepping areas are like. Won’t be returning sorry.

Love Nandos, great service as always

Sat waiting nearly 50 minutes before we even got our food, but before hand proceeded to tell me that my order had not gone through when my banking had 2 payments go to Nando’s what a disgrace

Staff were very accommodating for our table as one of us had an allergy (gluten intolerance)

There was a 10 minute wait but we did arrive at a busy time but the lady kept us informed. The food arrived quick and it was honestly the best cheeky Nando’s I’ve had in a long time! Really was impressed. It’s definitely one of the best I’ve ever been to and will be going more often

Basically it's just chicken with different flavored sauces. Don't really get what all the fuss in about. At the prices they charge I don't expect to order food myself via app or counter, get my own drinks, sauces and cutlery. Short of jumping over the counter and cooking it myself what do the waiting staff actually do. Won't visit again unless I'm starving and nowhere else is open

I am a sucker for Nando’s and frequent the franchise more than I should. This is the first time being at Thorpe Park Nando’s and it was hands down the best one we’ve had. Plentiful, well presented and delicious. Thank you 😊

Good nandos with the usual menu items. Food does come a lot quicker than in other nandos.

Lovely space to dine - especially in summer, the management and workers are all kind and helpful. Nando’s is Nando’s , ya can never go wrong haha

Little girls 12th birthday yesterday 10/03/2024 - party of 7 (6 adults) Shown to a dirty table had to get waiter to re clean then when we ordered we found there was little availability - no chicken, yes no chicken! I like Nando’s but won’t be rushing back to this one

Good food lovely staff and the food was on time I would definitely recommend this place except the down side the disabled toilets was a bit of a mess but apart from that good visit overall.

With it being busy I assumed it would have taken a while for the food to come but no it came in no time and the food was fresh loved it 👌🏻

First time to this Nando’s near where we live. Staff were friendly and accommodated our family. However the food was not great. Chips were not usual crispy and soft. Chicken a bit dry and my son’s chicken burger bread was stale and rock hard. Frozen Yogurt doesn’t taste like yogurt. However we were issued a refund and replacement of funny tasting peas. When a place is short staffed it reflects in the food and atmosphere. Note to management. Hire more and check bread and produce is always fresh please.

Great as Nando’s always is. Great tasting food. Quick to come. I feel like the prices have shot up the last couple of years but what hasn’t. It was pretty busy but still got seated straight away and that didn’t affect the speed at which the food came out. It was nice actually there were some nice customers we chatted too.

Clean, Friendly staff and a Fast service

First visit nice clean and plenty of sauces etc buy a coke with your meals and fill up as many times as you like ideal for thirsty kids food excelled my expectations hot and plenty of it great value for money. Staff very friendly and attentive a must go and try it you won't be disappointed

a certain member of staff was so kind, didn’t have a name badge on, tall, mousy brown hair, muscly, around 6 foot and gave 19-20 years old vibes. He held the door for us, he offered to bring the card reader to us for a desert. we were 2 blonde girls. if you know his name please give me it so i can thank him personally and maybe take him on a date.

First visit to Nandos, wasn't that impressed to be honest. Having to order food via an app or at the counter seems a bit inpersonal. Food was alright, nothing special. But having to get your own drinks, cutlery, napkins and sauces! what do the waiting staff actually do! Might as well have jumped over the counter and cooked in as well

Staff were really friendly, great food (as a take out) & they had the most hygienic, innovative door opening device i’ve seen in the gents!

Came out with my team for lunch. The staff were great! It as a really busy day but the staff were super helpful, food came fast and was all correct. Everyone enjoyed the food, clean plates all round apart from one person who ordered spicy rice but it was too spicy ha ha ha. Will definitely return

Long wait times even when table booked

10 of us went for a birthday party. Staff were very accommodating and even sang happy birthday for my daughter while bringing our cake to the table. Food was great and a very reasonable price. Will visit again.

Had to share a table with people that we didn’t know, and the bottomless frozen yogurt machine was beeping for 10 minutes until someone finally come over and sorted it out.

Ordered two quarter chicken meals with sides, they brought one and i waited for the other but they never brought it to the table. In the end i went up and asked where it was and it ended up just laid on the counter going cold while other orders were being served. No good to be honest, i expect better.

Where to begin? I’ve visited many Nando’s restaurants as my job involves travelling around the country and have NEVER seen service this bad in any of them. We arrived at the restaurant which at the time was only half full but were told there was a wait for seating. While waiting there were two couples seated before us despite arriving later than us. After being seated and ordering, one of our tables’ starters failed to arrive. After waiting an unreasonable amount of time, I had to get out of my seat and walk to the counter not once - but twice - to ask where it was. Even after this I saw several people receive the same starter in the time it took to get mine. Eventually the missing starter came only minutes before the main course arrived meaning it could not be fully enjoyed! Then, one of the main meals (fino pitta) was missing halloumi but after the service we had already experienced so far we opted not to complain as by this point we were totally fed up and ready to leave. Throughout our visit a large queue was building at the door while at least half of the tables were free, albeit most of them not yet cleaned by the staff for quite some time. There was also a large build up of food on the counter waiting to be taken to tables - some of which was there for a very long time. I will not be revisiting this particular Nando’s restaurant as the staff and managers are clearly totally inept at their jobs and this visit was very very disappointing. If I could score any lower than Tripadvisor lets me, I would.

Sorry Nando’s but you are going downhill , smaller portions with increased prices … the rainbow bowl and quinoa salad never come out the same always stuff missing , food always sat on the pass going out lukewarm … didn’t even have any vinegar today

Visited on 2 consecutive evenings as away for work, generally good but did not receive a checkback on either visit which was disappointing 😕

Not the best nandos I've been to. positive first, the staff was friendly, polite and helpful so service was very good. Food was quick but not cooked enough as the chips was a little soggy and the chicken could have done with a tad longer and the pitta bread was rock hard the rice was nice though so left half of it to be honest. The worst part was the toilets ... strange I know but hear me out, every nandos I've been to have always had cleanliness down to a T but this one absolutely reeks and not the cleanest by far, the smell in the men's is seriously off-putting and 100% needs addressing.

It's a Nandos, not much to say. Food was good, although told item out of stock yet another couple entered after us and were able to order said item. No frozen yoghurt available either. Seating area clean although stained.

You know what to expect with Nandos. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for 1.30pm in the school holidays I enjoyed my butterfly chicken burger and fries. everybody else cleared their plates. Good Service The toilets were clean

Had a quick bite to eat at lunchtime ordered a double chicken wrap. Very nice indeed.

The food was late and then when it came it was lukewarm at best and I also got given all the offcuts of the chicken like the skin and then were also given still frozen chips. The service was terrible all the staff looked like they were going to kill something or someone which brought the atmosphere down and they proceeded to pull dirty looks at me and my friends.

Made to sit and wait when there were 75% of the tables free, then customers that arrived after were then seated at a table before me. Taking the mick

Pretty good consistency in the food quality between visits. However the general cleanliness of the place could be a lot better; dirty menus, seats, cups, cutlery. Staff are pleasant & food arrives quickly.

This is one of the best Nando's we have visited. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was well cooked, well presented, and tasty. Very enjoyable experience

Here with family & children, though accommodating, service & contact was very minimal. Flavour of foods & seasonings weren't great either. But quick to clear table & clean surrounding areas

Filthy tables and menus. Order came out wrong, fixed it by adding stale bread (have eaten nandos before never that hard). Didn't clean plate so was all greasy. Don't bother eat elsewhere

Nothing special basically it's just chicken n chips with a spicy sauce. Why do grandkids think they are dining at the Ritz. Not a cheap meal out.

Very slow service, food hot plates full of food but not being delivered to the tables, staff stood around chatting ignoring the food waiting to be served and customers waiting. We waited over 30 minutes for our food which was not that warm when delivered to table. Disappointing

It's nandos what else can you say about it. Everyone is going to be sat in a track suit looking like they're about to mug your gran whilst eating Portuguese cuisine but it's from South Africa.

First time ever visiting Nandos, loved the food, but we had 2 groups at our table. The one who ordered directly at till point got theirs almost 10 minutes earlier than the ones who ordered on the app 5 mins earlier

Bad service. Really slow and empty tables not been cleaned.

Double chicken burger, garlic bread, take one chicken out of burger and you have 2 burgers - 1 garlic as well. Get peri salted chips over normal any day Also, burger bread is Portuguese roll - so expect harder bread!

Online service terrible as impossible to connect to Internet.

I was visiting Nando’s on a busy Saturday afternoon which gave my sister a panic attack, Beth one of the Nando’s team members was so nice as to let us move table and was very descents about helping us move and kept an eye on us the whole time throughout our visit. I can’t say how appreciative I was to Beth I was for this as the situation could have got a lot worse but she handled it so well 🥰

Service for delivery very bad giving zero rating

Disappointed. Food was dry. Over done. Peri chips salty. Toilets were disgusting. I usually come here to eat today was a big let down.

I have changed this review after going here in Jan 2023. The service was great. The food was generally good but the corn in the cob was soggy. I have seen this from other restaurants but not normally Nandos. The worst thing was the state of the place. Seats mucky. Menus filthy, just a generally grubby place that needs a good clean! I have added some photos. ------ This is my review from around 6 months ago 5 star. Good service and good chicken. The place was nice and clean too.

Traditional fish and chip shop with fish, pies baatered sausage etc rather than kebabs and burgers. Take away only. the food is good. it looks a bit dated, but does the job.

We visited on impulse mainly because I'd needed a break on the motorway. The place was exceptionally busy due to Christmas shopper traffic, I think, but the server managed to find us two seats. Well, you know what food you're getting at Nando's - whether it's prepared well or not is the usual issue - but ours was perfect temperature, the food all tasted great and the spice levels were just as requested. The food came quickly, the servers couldn't do enough to help, and - although they have an odd layout - I can attest that the bathroom was clean. The only issue was a disruptive kid next to us that the parents seemed to think it was beyond their capability to keep them from jumping high in the air and bouncing right next to my fiance, but that's not the store's problem. Honestly, great for us. Recommend!

Limited plant based options but sauces used is the hero of this play which makes the food delicious 🤤

Very bad service waitress giggling like school girls 4 of them standing in corner gawkin at me and my family because I ask for some peri tamer sauce staring at me and my family whisper in to each other have been coming to nandos a long time made me and the fam very uncomfortable and almost had me thinking I’d done something wrong askin for a sauce if they never had the sauce all the had to do was say not send 3 different waitress to ask what I ment very disappointed avoid this nandos also as a post note chips were soggy chicken was still pinkish on inside all together a regrettable experience one I won’t make again avoid this location

Hmm ordered a glass of wine turned out they didn't have any and struggled to find a wine glass, lovely staff doing their best but being charged for an item not available is not great- cost was refunded but that's not the point

Was delivered the wrong order (mixup on the drivers part). Called up the store and the manager was incredibly sweet. She offered to contact deliveroo for a redelivery and remade the order for me. At this point i think it was actually past closing. The order arrived and they even included a free brownie 🥺
