The best restaurants serving Pizza pasta food in Cathays Cardiff South Wales

I was only here for a short while but I love this venue already! Good beer, great place for a DJ set, aesthetically pleasing- lovely low lighting. Look forward to coming again!

Best place I’ve been to for sandwiches and pastries. I normally get a too good to go bad from here, many places I have been to for a too good to go bag are very judgemental but here the staff are so friendly and amazing. Yesterday I was served by Natasha, I was very tired and in a rush but she made my day, she’s so friendly and nice and gave me the option of choosing which bag I’d like. I recommend this place for anyone who wants a quick bite to eat while travelling or in a rush to work, there’s never too much of a wait. Amazing place!

Lovely atmosphere and decor but... Let down by the pizza. Bases so thin they burned and very, very scarce toppings. For between £11-13.50 you'd be miles better off at Domino's. "Garlic bread" was an ultra thin pizza base with garlic oil brushed on and they charge an extra £1 for cheese you can't even see let alone taste. Huge range of ciders but basically only pizza on the menu. They offer vegan options. Nice place but wouldn't go again.

The burgers are not the same shit customer service and really don't care about the food customer service, very disappointed from when I use to buy real American burgers. Buns are cheap and not the same what it says on door.

Probably our worst experience at a Pizza Express ; slow service ( when the waiter came to take the order he seemed clueless about what was on the menu and we had to show him what we wanted) long wait for drinks ( my glass of Prosecco was not full as waiter was carrying it in such a way some spilt and was running down the glass) starter never came, when mains arrived we sent them back because starter hadn’t arrived then they brought the starter and immediately returned the mains to table ( we sent starter back) meantime my pizza was going cold. My husband lasagne was all sauce no meat, boiling hot on the outer layer but lukewarm in the centre. When we asked for condiments they didn’t come straight away and when they did the pepper grinder was empty. We asked for the bill having made it clear to the manager that we weren’t very happy- she did apologise and returned with the bill stating they hadn’t charged us for the polenta fries - which we didn’t have !!! Having paid and about to leave the waiter then returned to clear the table and asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu! ( which had we not been so unhappy we would have had as well as more drinks- although we weren’t asked if we wanted another one during our time there either ) I appreciate it was busy however there were a lot of staff who didn’t appear to be particularly well organised. If we’d been offered a drink by way of an apology I wouldn’t be leaving this review . I wish we’d dined elsewhere as both the quality of both the food and customer service were very poor . I

We visited on a Friday lunch time with our two year old daughter. Excepting the fact that the food was great as always, the service from Lucy and her colleague was exceptional, making our daughter feel really important and just simply being great. We hope we're served by her again next time we visit.

gluten free pizza was amazing! Brownie was good as well. The best gluten free takeaway I've had in years although I do wish I ordered directly as I paid double by not

Just ordered of just from new york pizza and ordered a large chicken donner meal and there was only 5 pices of chicken in the meal and the chicken wasn't cooked properly nore were the chips I rang up and all I had was a load of abuse from them and they said nothing they can do and hung up on me very rude people won't be ordering from them ever again will take my money else we're

The first driver brung us our pizza, but instead of 2 he only brung one. Was told that the next one would come with another driver. The next one came, but they were now all cold. I asked for a refund because of their own mistake, but the person on the phone was very unprofessional and wouldn’t do anything about it and was ranting about how the pizzas were in bags so they weren’t cold. Do not recommend this place. If a mistake is made, they will not own up to it and are very unprofessional with their service.

Absolute chaos!!! I ordered two small pizzas online at 7.16pm and was told they would be ready at 7.36. I turned up at 7.30 and walked into a wall of noise. Staff members shouting very loudly at each other and even swearing on a couple of occasions. There was another customer in store and we both just looked at each other in sheer disbelief. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour. I felt totally ignored for the first few minutes of being there as they were too busy arguing with each other. Eventually I was asked what my name was before the one member of staff who seemed to be the boss (female with glasses and definitely the loudest) shouted over me to another member of staff that she wanted a medium not a large. Once the latest shouting episode was over I was then told that my pizza had been made ‘wrongly’ and had to be made again. Another wait and another 20 minutes of watching staff argue. My 10 year old daughter wanted to come with me- I’m so glad she didn’t as she would have been petrified with all the noise. Eventually the new pizza was ready and I left the store at 7.57. My daughter enjoyed her pizza but mine (which had been ready for a good 20mins) was now cold and had to be reheated at home. Awful customer service!!
