The best restaurants serving Pizza pasta food in North Hertfordshire East of England

I went to Sams pizza yesterday and once before that - very tasty pizza that is reasonably priced and convenient for takeaway.

Much slower than quoted and unhelpful replies... Not recommended if always the same

Royston Kebab Kitchen is always my choice for a good kebab. Chili sauce from here is good.

Epic Sunday roast and friendly, welcoming team of staff!

We were going to a party nearby and opted to stay over at The Bull, for a Village Pub with rooms, it is very clean and comfortable with ample parking. The staff in the pub were warm and welcoming, the “on site chip shop” meant we could have a quick bite before heading to the party and they kindly ordered a cab and provided the number to contact for the cab back. Breakfast was very good and served with a smile. This is just what it says on the tin, with the addition of friendly staff.

Poor service and really ignorant to the customers. Yesterday we went was shopping and we just wanted to have a drink and a starter as it was 4;15pm. Soon as we sat down I did mentioned that we were in a rush. To over 10mins to get our order, then 20mins to get our drinks and another. 20mins to get a starter which was dough balls and a side mac and cheese. When the bill came up I said that why I have you charged me £15 ish for mac and cheese and she said that was a main. I mentioned that we just wanted a small bite. She reduced the price to a starter. We asked to pay but that was too much to get a card machine. We stood up and put our coats at this pointed I was planning to just go. Finally they got the card machine and they asked if I wanted to give a tip. Shocking service and probably won’t be going again. We only went because the Shack was closed next door.

Really unfortunate experience with this papa John’s! I’ve always enjoyed the food, especially as a vegetarian however, tonight I ordered a pizza with vegan sausage (knowing what it’s always looked like and how it’s advertised on the website) - I’ve attached photos for reference. When it came, the “meat” looked and smelled completely different and from cross referencing on their website, I am 100% certain it is actually one of their meat options!! I called to complain and did get a refund (although polite, it still took battling with the person on the phone rather than a “free pizza next time I order”.) they told me it was a new version of the meat free sausage but there is nothing across any of their branding to advise that is the case. If so, why isn’t it advertised? Even then, it’s not what I specifically ordered. I personally think someone has made a mistake and is trying to cover it up!! Very disappointed the mistake was made and it’s also a waste of food as it will be going in the bin! Again, I appreciate them refunding but there was no ownership from them what so ever. Thank god I checked before taking a bite. Unfortunately, won’t be using them again. A warning to all veggies and vegans to check their food before eating from here!

Tuesday 30th of July. First of all all i had a nightmare ordering on there website so i phoned the Hitchin branch. 3 times I stated i wanted 2 for Tuesday Pepperoni feasts. To receive 1 pepperoni feast and 1 margarita and I believe I was overcharged £3 including delivery charge from price stated in website. Phoned up and complained the next day has exactly the same last who took my order, it was only after i said i would take it further that she said i would take it further she assured me I would get my next order free. I phoned for that yesterday 3rd August to get a gentleman. I it was hard work getting convincing him they owed me a free order. He even had to phone me back because he got got details wrong. I got 1 free pizza for the one that was wrong, I know very little recompense for the aggravation they have caused. Complained on there website again yesterday 3rd August more or less what I have wrote here to be given a robotic answer by Shona G glad you enjoyed are 2 for Tuesday. I can't even reply email just gets sent back. Usually i collect but i am in town looking after a friend's dog, I have had no problems before but with exception of the drivers who where both polite a pleasant the rest of the experience beyond bad meaning clearly loyalty means nothing to this company, case of pay peanuts you get monkeys. Imbeciles!!!. Avoid!! This place looks the plaque.
