Royston Kebab Kitchen in North Hertfordshire

Food wasn’t great unfortunately. We spent £32 on 3 things and they were cold and flavourless. Such a shame

Just wasn’t as good as when last tried it…. The spicy potatoes had been sitting for ages and were pretty hard, the Kebab lacked any flavour and bits were over cooked unfortunately

Ordered a lamb doner and a lamb shish. The shish was very soft meat and not over cooked. Often shish meat can be tough and gristly but each cube was tender. Large chips would be more than enough for two people.

Got a takeaway driver was sound and food was quick. Price was reasonable. Too much salad but also full of meat. Lovely in a pita

Ordered a pizza at 20.20 as it said delivery is 35 mins. Soon as I ordered it, delivery time had jumped to 21.20-21.40! Then it never turned up until 21.58! Told the driver I would be leaving a bad review and he laughed! It gets worse, the pizza was not what I ordered and was freezing cold. What a sham of a company!

Ordered a large mixed kebab. It was tiny and cold! Restaurant wasn’t bothered. Never again

I ordered a pizza and a can of Pepsi during the day around 4:30pm to be delivered at 6:40pm so gave them loads of time to get it sorted. It didn’t turn up until 7:15pm I paid £24 for the pizza and can of drink with a £5 delivery fee. The pizza was barely warm and the Pepsi I ordered wasn’t a Pepsi it was a can of coke. Not happy about this whatsoever.

Asked the burger was sent in separate boxes so it arrived without being soggy, my only issue was the pizza was burnt

Food not as described. Lamb chewy but chicken lovely. Overall not that impressed.

The pizza was cleared stored on its side when travelling to our house. Guess what, all the cheese was rolled up to one side. Considering you charge extra on everything and include a deliver charge, that’s poor quality. My wife only ate 2 slices cos of the state of it

The kebabs are good and I’ve never been disappointed although I see others have. Delivery always on time or early. But seriously, it’s impossible to justify the current pricing. I acknowledge that the cost of running a business has gone up but there’s a limit to what I’m willing to pay for certain things. Just my opinion but be more reasonable with price and you’ll increase the repeat custom.

The garlic bread with cheese is expensive for what it is. £7.50 for 4 small pieces of baguette with garlic butter and a bit of cheese??? The margarieta pizza was more over done than normal on top and the cheese was just starting to taste burnt. Usually food is ok but really not happy with what we received tonight. £26 we paid for pizza and 4 small pieces if garlic bread

I have no idea why but the last few weeks the service, quality of food, attention to detail (missing extras etc.) has been appalling. They used to be the best kebabs in Royston, prompt delivery, quality of food and nice people but now, totally the opposite. And when you call them they hardly seem to care if you're happy or not. Shame, they used to be the best but now, total opposite. Been given several chances to redeem themselves but speak to different people every time and after this last delivery, never again! This was supposed to be a chicken/kofte combo kebab, shockingly awful.

Best kebabs in Royston but like all Royston kebab shops, far to expensive.

The quality of their chicken in their kebab is amazing. 100% recommend.

Completely wrong pizza delivered, I was hungry so ate it anyways and it was ok.

Ordered via the app at 8:40pm. Called the restaurant at 9:50pm to be advised that the order had been missed completely. Good eventually arrived at 10:20pm. For two wraps and cheesy chips we paid £38.80 that included £5 delivery charge in Royston. As an apology we were given a bottle of Pepsi, a refund would have been better, at least for delivery. Poor customer service on this occasion.

The quality has gone downhill and you seriously cannot justify the prices. They forgot the drinks (as usual), chips were soaked in grease and rubbery, and the chicken wings were pretty dry and not great. Burger was good though, but the rest was not nice at all and most went in the bin. Will go elsewhere from now on where we have had consistent quality at much better prices.

I've lived in the area for almost 2 years,and this is my favourite place for a kebab.

We asked when we ordered 5th April 2023, last night for them to make sure the food was hot/warm as delivery previous week was cold. We order nearly every week and spend approx £150 a month with them. When the driver turned up he demanded We opened the food while he waited to make sure the food was hot. It was, but whilst I was doing this, my fiance went to the door to say it was fine,she was subject to rudeness and was made to feel very small by this Asian man who delivered. Virtually telling her she was lying about the previous weeks delivery as when he delivered last week, it didn't take as long so must of been hot. He made her feel so small. I always answer the door, not her, and I'd never seen him before in my life. Their prices are now really extortionate now as well. They have lost our custom now as well as our friends so their loss. Steer a wide birth.

Even though it said it would take over an hour to come (a long time for a kebab) it took about an hour and a half. This meant that the food was cold when it got here which I assume is as a result of the driver being sent out with too many orders. This would correlate with the fact it says it was delivered at 19:10 but it didn’t arrive till closer to 19:40. We have ordered from here before a few times. And not had this issue which is a shame

Ordered from these guys a couple on times food is nice don’t get me wrong but delivery driver seriously let’s them down, extremely rude, on the first occasion where driver was rude phoned up to advise them, advised they would do something about said driver as “ that’s not the kind of service they wish to provide “ again same delivery driver comes out rude yet again not ordering from these guys again shame really. Just thought I’d make other customers aware.

I regularly order from here. Food quality can vary from really good to very disappointing. It arrives every time prompt and hot. But come on!!! The prices are unbelievable!!! So unreasonably expensive!!! I kid you not, when I return home to Leicestershire, I can get a better takeaway for half the price.

Driver could not find property and I had to meet him on the main road

Been living in Royston for 18 years tested all of the kebab places in the area and this is my favourite place. Nice owner and guys behind the counter are also good lads. I preffer collecting over delivery for obviouse reasons. Couple times the guys missed something, but on the next ocasion when I mentioned that (weeks later) they were like „oh sorry, here is your item”. I also often get free drink which is really nice. My favourite over there is Kofte Kebab - worth trying!

Ordered to Therfield food still hot, driver friendly and food amazing would definitely recommend. So much better than USA Chicken down the road! Best pizza/kebab/chicken in Royston ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Long wait for a simple order (salad kebab, chicken burger, 2x chicken nuggets). Food was just chucked into polystyrene containers and when the food arrived it was sweaty and soggy. The chip bag was so bad the paper just ripped and the chips all fell out the bottom. Disappointing as the food is normally really good. Would have to think before ordering from them again.

After a break of two years due to covid this evening I enjoyed my Doner kebab with salad & extra chilli sauce. My wife also enjoyed her chicken kebab with salad & garlic sauce.

Turned up and the box was open and food was cold.

We waited an hour and a half for our food. Pizza was luke warm. Chips and onion rings basically cold. Chips were only half cooked and soggy- we had to cook them again in our air fryer! I understand price increases for businesses but £5 for delivery when it was late, double price increase for small chips that weren’t cooked…not on. Normally love Kebab Kitchen but this was just shocking.

Often go here when I am over Royston way. Always had good service and good food. So much so when the wife fancied a lamb kebab they were my first choice knowing the wife would be happy with the quality and freshness. The food was made fresh while I waited but did not take long as they are constantly preparing and cooking fresh food. The portion size was good it was too much for the wife so I got the rest for my supper. A very welcome bonus and must say it was very tasty. They are on a side street a little tucked away but always busy and worth the effort to find.

I used to love this place but the prices are extortionate. 6.40 for potatoes and mushrooms. Also close to a tenner for a small kebab when going to gourmet kebab in Caxton is a million times better and half the price

I don't know what's happened to the Royston Kebab Kitchen in the last 18 months; prices have shot up but the quality of the food has headed in the opposite direction. We used to order from here at least twice a month and really enjoyed the food. We had a couple of not so good takeaways from here earlier in the year - rancid chips and overcooked dry meat, but thought we'd give them another chance tonight. Kebabs were OK but chips were rancid again - I don't think they ever change the oil. We won't bother again. Poor quality overpriced food.

Delivery driver had handed part of our order to previous customer. They did send out replacement but meant the rest of our food was cold by the time it arrived.
