Great place for a coffee before or after your home around Moel Famau. Large latte is £2.50 (my friends Americans was £2.30)which isn't too bad, whilst there is also a selection of flapjacks and other snacks. Good service, good coffee and not a bad price considering its the only coffee place in town!

What a magnificent venue, totally unexpected interior that just had the wow factor. Then there was a first class menu offering a wide variety of delicious food backed up with excellent personal service. Visited for lunch and evening meal and didn’t want to leave. Have been wanting to try this place for a while. Last night myself and my husband got the opportunity to do so and it by far and away exceeded my expectations! The menu is varied, as a seafood restaurant is of course predominantly fish, but they cater broadly too, with duck, steak and chicken dishes also available. But of course I’d gone to a seafood restaurant with the name “The Seahorse” so it without doubt that my order would be fish. I’d booked a table (which on arrival I was especially glad I had done, as the restaurant is a small one). Our sever greeted us warmly and we were shown to our table. My starter was scallops with black pudding. Wow! Perfect. The portion size was exactly what you’d want from a starter. My main was pesto and cheese stuffed salmon. Perfect also. No bones in the fish as you occasionally get with fish. It was a good portion size. My husband enjoyed his dishes too, (also pictured). The restaurant is family friendly, and appeared to have a highchair, and is dog friendly too, having a bed for the canine family members! The service is excellent. Our server was attentive, asking if we wanted drinks between courses without us having to ask for them. Can’t wait to return and am sorry I didn’t visit sooner!

The Letter below was sent to the Management team and VRBO, but until today we have heard nothing and received no apology. I have decided to attach only a few of the pictures. The ceiling was worst but we cleaned it, they should have seen a big difference in Cleanliness when they got the property back.. I am very hurt that we had to endure all the dirty, filthy rooms and smelly rubbish and no one bothered to call me back. This cost me between 1K+ to 2k for the few days. One of the pictures shows a customers nickers and rubbish which was left in one of the bedrooms on the floor. Hi I am writing to formally complain about the house and the customer service we received during our stay. I spoke to Fraser, who promised to speak to management and send someone out to check the damp in Room 2, room 3 and room 4, on Thursday the 24th, however, no one has called us or showed up to fix the problem. I explained to Fraser that two of the kids both have asthma and at the moment my son who has asthma is currently coughing. I explained to them that the room should not be used as the damp was really bad, it had black mold in the ceiling with broken parts in the ceiling and we smelt the damp really strong, even after cleaning the room and opening all the windows in all of the rooms, the damp and stench remained.. The cleaners were sent out to check the property and they confirmed that a maintenance worker needs to attend the issues. The cleaners did not clean the mess in the kitchen or on the floors and the toilets. When we explained that the bin in the kitchen had food bits stuck at the bottom about to turn into maggots and a few empty cans, they took out the empty cans and place a bin liner on top of the food bits stuck at the bottom of the bin, they did not bother to clean the bin, instead they rest the bin liner on top of the old smelly food in the bin. Therefore, we took the bin out of the kitchen as it is and placed it at the back next to other bins outside of the kitchen door. I called Fraser right after and explained to him about the cleaners and he promised me that we will be refunded and the management team will contact us the next day, however no one bothered to contact us. Hence, we went to the shop and bought cleaning products and mops and cleaned the entire house from top to bottom. This is the worst experience I have ever been through. The dirtiest house and the worst customer service, where no one made time to call and check the issues, which can cause health issues were very very disappointing. They also had 5 different rubbish bags filled with rubbish from previous customers, which they took from the back of the house outside the kitchen door and placed them all at the front of the house. We were told that someone will be coming to collect the rubbish but until we left today 29/8/23, all of the rubbish remained In front of the door smelling so horrible and maggots crawling out of them. I have taken a few pictures, which I will upload shortly. I expect to be refunded and or compensated for my son who is now coughing and needing to use his inhalers. This is the same with my friend's son who also has asthma, he is also coughing and was wheezing during our stay. I expect to hear back from you as a matter of urgency. I will definitely take this further. I await your urgent response.

This former pub turned Caribbean restaurant has a way to go. The good was quite good (goat curry and jerk pork, with an excellent Red Stripe). But the environment was grim. Sticking a few Jamaican posters on the wall doesn’t turn an 80s pub into somewhere tropical while leaving a mop and bucket in full view of diners isn’t a good look. And ditch the plastic roses on the table! Service was ok but the staff are clearly inexperienced. Loud reggae didn’t hide the fact that the place was almost empty. A shame - it has real potential and Merthyr needs a new “kitchen”.

We booked a midweek break in bluestone, went to the knights tavern on 3 evenings and the food was great, first night I had the best burger I've ever had, tried the lasagna special the second night and it was as good as any pub lasagna and priced at £14 so you can't really complain, if you want top quality you have to pay for it, so the last night I had another burger and doubled up this time, wow!! More of the burger I'll definitely be coming back for again. Service is excellent, kind, courteous and professional, all the food that came out was well presented and looked fantastic. At the end of the day you get what you pay for and I didn't see anything other than fairly priced top quality food being served by sought after staff, the barman even took it upon himself to put to one side my pint he was pulling, something about the widget in the glass he didn't like the look of, top quality service if you ask me, above and beyond, hard to find these days. Bargain, a mid week break and the children's meals were free every night!!

Solía ser nuestro sitio al que ir para comer el domingo. No más, que se cruce de nuestra lista. No hay bandejas para llevar placas así que ahora las placas están frías. Esto significa que nuestra comida fría fría fuimos rápidamente Yorkshire no son bonitas. Por desgracia, las verduras eran menos o más preparado. Debo decir que el asado estaban bien cocidos y la salsa encantador pero por un precio similar podemos conseguir mejor en otro lado.
