Splott Fish & Chips in Cardiff

Size of the portion was small, and the fish was too small too for the money I paid. When you take into account the fact that I had to pay for delivery too - disgraceful!

Awful ,rude and dirty staff. This premises seems to go through many owners and staff but simply do not care about the community or decent customer service. Arrogant staff to the point of being rude and then slopping for in a tray and making remarks (Pakistani I think) amongst colleagues and laughing. We need a wholesome takeaway that respects the community they rely on financially and not just their own.I am part of the BME community so this attitude is insular and unacceptable in 2021. I urge you to try somewhere else down Clifton Street,to be treated and served in an appropriate way when purchasing food. I threw mine away due to the way they scoffed,laughed and slopped my food.Whilst they treated someone from their community (communicated in their language) with decency and skipped the que a head of customers patiently waiting. Manners cost nothing but they want your 💰🤑

Sent my children to buy food at Splott Fish and Chips, the staff gave them the wrong change (I am sure that man steals the money). So, my children told him that gave them the wrong change he starts shouting at them aggressively, to frighten them. This is the behaviour of a guilty person. Thief!!!!!!!!!!

Its a real shame this was one of the best chippy in splott until it got taken over and the new owners got rid of the staff who knows most of its customers and looked after them but now the new staff haven't got a clue what they are doing the chops are nasty the kebabs are sloppy small and nothing like they was and the welcome you get when you enter the shop is dreadful and to top it all of they don't listen to you and mess up your order so avoid at all cost

Had lots of chips but very greasy. They must have been in the chip hopper for a while. Not fresh. Battered sausage batter was soggy.

We have been going here for years when we can't be bothered cooking. 9 inch pizza, can and chips for 4 quid. Can't go wrong. Surprisingly the pizza is very good at this price

Tiny portions for the kebabs but when I sent my friend in he had a decent sized one x there was a time when I had a disagreement with the owner so I believe he and staff intentionally do it to me x this is not the first time that this has happened as I ordered mine and another friend went in after and the difference was ridiculous x I had barely half as much as he did x now I have to resort to sending some one for me just to get what I paid for x I know people will question why I still go there but it's the only decent kebab I've had in my area x

Ordered a pizza deal, only large pizza available. Had to wait half an hour for pizza. Staff very miserable and began arguing amongst themselves over who had to be served next.

Place clean looking, lots of choice to select. Young boy who served us was extremely polite though a smile would have been nice. We had to wait for my hubs chips which were piping hot with his sausage in batter but mine were cold although pie was lovely. Would go there again but hopefully will have nice hot chips too.
