My friend and I had visited for the lobster dinner, which was a success so we were excited to return for the Camembert Bar. This meal fell quite flat and didn't live up to the hype. The restaurant was freezing! My friend had to keep her coat on and I had to use mine like a blanket. I commented on it and was told was broken, I suggested they could have warned customers in the booking reminders. A small heater was brought out later but it didn't do much. It might have been nice to offer us a free hot drink vs us be sat to a booth by the door shivering! The wine was only available by the bottle. Shame as we were driving and had wanted to enjoy one glass with cheese. The camembert itself was nice but the sides were a bit disappointing: dough balls (luke warm, so soon went totally cold), crudites (fine) and the pigs in blankets were two large sausages (smoked, like a saveloy and not to our taste/ not the same as shown in photos)

We came to visit Cardiff and my friend made us a reservation so I wasnt sure what to expect, it did not disappoint! The food and cocktails were amazing, a special thanks to our waitress (I think she was called Zoe!) who was so friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Just wanted to take the time to say the biggest thank you to Neighbourhood kitchen and bedrooms, we had the most perfect stay. Ell the housekeeper went above and beyond in ensuring our stay was fabulous from the get go, she had decorated the room beautifully for my partners 30th and even got Max (our dog) some delicious treats too! The service, accommodation and overall atmosphere couldn’t have been better from the moment of booking and both my partner and I feel as if we have found a gem tucked away in the city, perfect for us as we are always travelling with Max. We will definitely be back, in fact we have already looked when to stay again and we haven’t even checked out yet! Thank you once again for everything you’ve done to make this such a special birthday. You’ve gained three big fans!

What a place! Small, intimate and independent restaurant with friendly staff and the BEST food! Whether Crayfish or lobster, food is always delicious, hot and tasty. The fries are great, and the flavours of the food are fab. Banging food! We love it and will be back, and recommend you do too. Booking is essential as they book up fast!

Loved it, had reservations walking towards the neighbourhood, tiny little street food place, but we’ll Worth it. We had whole lobster, lobster Thermidor, max and cheese, crab croquette and corn ribs. Everything was delicious, great atmosphere and an awesome Team. Total bill was £55 with 4 pints too. Well worth the visit but be sure to book in advance.

Cramped dining space, no atmosphere,awful service, awful food ! My granddaughter chose this place for her birthday meal as she likes lobster First of all the waiter forgot to order one of our meals and a side of bread, then had the cheek to argue with us claiming we didn’t order! There were 3 of us and only 2 meals came to the table The lobster was a cheap frozen scrawny offering, hard to get the meat from the shell The lobster rolls might as well have been coleslaw rolls, I couldn’t detect any lobster! Side sauces, of brown sauce and mayonnaise came in cheap paper cups , they had the cheek to charge £3 each, complete rip off! I asked for some water, was given a children’s plastic cup of warm tap water, shocking, I had to ask for a glass People should cook to their ability and this food clearly was beyond their capability No receipt given at the till! All in all, one of the worst food experiences I’ve ever had, no wonder this tiny place was only half full even with a £10 lobster offer! When I told them how I felt , I was told to ‘Feel free to eat somewhere else’ ! I will take their advice and so should you!

Saw the lobster menu online and booked. Really glad we did. Lobster for £10 was great, all the tools needed to extract all the meat. Not huge but good value. Loved the corn ribs with Brains bbq sauce, very tasty - we ordered more sauce to dip our lovely fries in. Cocktails looked great, my husband had a cucumber gimlet, which was really great, punchy and fresh. I was driving so had a long cucumber apple and lime mocktail. Great little place, especially loved the music. We’ll be keeping our eye out for future menus.

To all lobster lovers this month its your dream come true! Get over there this special is unbelievable. A whole lobster £10 lobster thermadore £14 we just had an amazing experience. We loved it. Bradley our server host was superb. Hurry hurry

Visited for a date night following recommendation made by a friend. It did not disappoint. A simple menu that was fresh and tasty. Home made marinades and sauces gave these dishes bursts of flavour. The venue is small but we had booked to same disappointment. The staff are extremely attentive, with the chef even coming out to check on our food and gain feedback. The menu changes every 6 weeks I believe so we will definitely be back to try this place again

We had an absolutely fantastic time at the neighbourhood kitchen. The food was incredible, and all of the staff were extremely helpful. Elle, Brad, Rob and Zoe (sorry of the names are wrong) some of the most helpful staff that I have ever had a. good fortune to be served by. We also stayed in one of the rooms above the restaurant. The room is fantastic. We were made to feel extremely welcome from the moment of our arrival. Would definitely go again and will be recommending to friends.

We came here for the seafood boil but we will 100% be coming back! The staff are so lovely and the over all feel of the place is bliss. We can’t remember the names of the people who looked after and fed us whilst we were there (today) but they were brilliant! We can’t wait to come back, thank you for a brilliant experience ❤️
