Caffi Gwynant

Porthmadog-Tremadog, Gwynedd, <20£
12/05/2021: Lovely cakes and coffee and the staff and venue were great too. I have to say though that the meals are just not our thing. Our mains were a bit too quirky and the numerous ingredients didn't work together, we eat anything as a rule and are not picky! We would return but not for a meal. The food reviews are amazing so maybe it's just us. It's subjective isn't it.

Seahorse Seafood Bistro and Restaurant

Gogarth, Conwy, 45-60£
03/06/2021: My crab cakes were nice to be fair but my missus' Risotto was just a dry, bland rice stack... never seen a Risotto and my seafood pasta was a joke... was like they'd thrown a mixed seafood bag from asda in some milk, forgot garlic, herbs and seasoning! I was looking forward to lovely scallops, fresh mussels (they had no fresh mussels [seafood restaurant]) Langoustines and creamy hit of garlic and tarragon... poor!! My missus' veg was nice with her fish, except for her uncooked potatoes. Just no love at all... I did explain to the chef but they didn't care. My missus is a chef of 35 years so we know good food and this wasn't anywhere near good I'm sorry to say!
02/06/2021: It’s our second time staying in Llandudno and the first thing that we did was book a table at this restaurant. We ate here the first time that we stayed in the area. The food is so well presented and beautifully cooked. The portions are just right. The staff are polite and service was great. 10/10. Thank you again for another top meal

The Gazelle Hotel

Cwm Cadnant, Isle of Anglesey
16/05/2021: This hotel is a absolutely perfect, the location is beautiful with stunning view all around. The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming, greeting you by first name which is a nice personal touch. The hotel and room is very clean, the beds are extremely comfortable and you have the must beautiful view from outside your window. The food is of a high standard and very well presented, my only recommendation would be serving some homemade chips which food or just as a snack. We ate breakfast, lunch and tea here and we can not fault it. This hotel is a absolutely must, we will be staying again and we would highly recommend this to other.
15/05/2021: We came here for the second weekend in a row, this time with the rest of the family. Rufus was fantastic in ensuring we had a fantastic seat where everyone was comfortable on the new deck, the weather wasn’t ideal however the staff endured and really made sure it was as enjoyable as could be for the customers.Half of us ate and the food was fresh and delicious, especially since they used local suppliers, the selection of beers and wine was fantastic too.Throughout our time Rufus and Christian continually checked on us to ensure we were okay and enjoying our time, they even allowed us to stay at the table past our dining slot.Overall it’s an incredible destination restaurant/pub with fantastic staff and a better view, I’m glad someone has finally brought the Gazelle up to ours full potential.
