The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in England

This was our our 1st meal at the Waddling Duck last night since they have moved into their new premises. What can we say! Another fabulous night, devine food, the service was truly amazing. Thank you for such a perfect evening!

Had the most amazing 5 course menu with wine paring. Just so perfect and delicious and yet not overly full. A real treat would highly recommend if you want be spoilt rotten! Lighting could be improved though to reflect the quality of the food and the service !

Lovely coffee shop, very good service and lovely staff

The breakfasts they serve are fantastic! It is an excellent cafe with brilliant staff. The menu is pretty extensive. My favourite is the Vanilla latte.

Terrible slow service. Bland tasteless food. 4 of us had different Hungarian meals ,not sure how they can call it that

Breakfast sandwich was extremely tasty and the nata the best we have had outside of Portugal.

We walked past the restaurant whilst we were in Barnstaple and booked dinner for later that week on the strength of the example tasting menu. It was great. Can’t praise the quality of the menu, and the service, highly enough. It’s genuine fine dining. Standout dishes were the beautiful halibut, the oyster with passion fruit and the fantastic blackberry-based autumnal dessert. The entire tasting menu was easily the equal of anything we have eaten in Michelin restaurants. The wine flight was good too: the wines were well-chosen. The only change I’d make would be to substitute in an English sparkling wine for the Prosecco that was matched with the starter but that’s a very small detail. We are only sorry that we live a long way from Devon and can’t become regulars! This was, hands down, the best restaurant we visited during our trip to the south west.

We had breakfast there this morning. One of the best we have had locally. Friendly staff and clean cafe. Will definitely be returning each time we have our car washed in the complex.

Food was fantastic! The snacks, truffle dish and the desserts were great. My only criticism is the wine pairing, for the price, the servings were minimal. I think we got unlucky by getting the last of each bottle....but if I was to do it again I would just skip that part.
