We came in for lunch today and weren’t sure our booking had been saved when we booked online, but our amazing host Hannah couldn’t have been more lovely or accommodating. She found us a nice quiet table straight away and was so sweet with our little boy, bringing him colouring pencils and paper to keep him entertained. Hannah’s service throughout was incredible, she went above and beyond to ensure our time was amazing. So friendly, attentive, and just made everything feel relaxed and welcoming. As always, the crew roast was absolutely incredible ..hands down the best around!! We love Cru. The food and service are always top tier, and the cocktails are amazing too. Such a gem in Eastbourne, we’ll definitely keep coming back. The only complaint is we dream of the roast and cocktails for weeks after. Thanks so much Hannah and team, happy Easter - Mandy & Tom

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief lunch at Light this week. We only had a couple of the open sandwiches with a cup of tea, but the sandwiches were beautifully presented and tasty. The ambience is very pleasant as was our waitress Savannah. This is a delightful conversion of the previous cafe at The Towner and highly recommended.

Pequeño gran café Si quieres un verdadero Gulyas húngaro, no es lo que Todo Reino Unido cree que es un Goulash, ¡este es el lugar correcto! Buenos crepes dulces y salados también. Lugar ideal para un desayuno o almuerzo tardío. Sorprendentemente, no como en otros lugares aquí, también puedes comprar algunas cervezas o sidra y un espíritu húngaro llamado "palinka" (aunque fuerte:)). Esto hace que sea un lugar ideal para "cotillear" no solo para mujeres, sino también para hombres. :) El servicio es sonriente.

This is the second time we have been for the taster menu at the Grand. I love it there. Beautiful building, lovely staff, but I have to say the food was not as great as it was last year. The treacle tart was very dry, and the quail was very hard. Thought it was a bone. We had a lovely evening. The wines were amazing. But I don't think the food was worth the price. Next time I will have a look at the menu. Waiters made the evening

Visited for Sunday lunch, family of 8 all of whom ordered something different so not particularly easy for chef given everything is cooked to order. Everyone enjoyed the experience, food excellent and passed around to try each others dishes. Because it's fresh cooked be prepared to wait a while but,having been a few times it's invariably worth it. Good quality, fair value and good service.

We walked from Seaford to Eastbourne at the weekend and landed here! What a wonderful place. Firstly the staff were absolutely fantastic, it elevated the experience massively! They were knowledgeable, listened and were accommodating. The food was excellent, came in good time, piping hot and tasted delicious. I would advise booking! My ONLY niggle is we were running late for our booking and phone never answered despite multiple calls, I assume perhaps they were busy? That said when we arrived we were put at ease and seated promptly.

Great little find! We had dinner in this wonderful bistrot after spending the afternoon walking from Seaford. They offer a great selection of dishes on top of mussels as well as a good choice of wines and Belgian beers of course, with some craft beers being brewed on their premises. Our oysters were fresh and the mussels tasty and juicy. Nice atmosphere. Warmly recommend this place.

Useless barista. Was waiting for 10 minutes to get a water before catching my 3rd train of the day. He only had two drinks to make but took so long I had to put the water down so i could actually catch my train. If it’s going to take 5 minutes per order, you need to hire more not acceptable for drinks to take so long when majority of people are in a rush.
