Meze restaurant in Eastbourne

This place kind of blew me away. Had a table next to the grill and it honestly felt like eating in someone’s house, the hospitality from both our server (possibly the owner?) and grill master was incredibly warm. The food was exceptional and well proportioned, it is a good idea to arrive very hungry!

Went there last night with my family. The service was incredible, you could see them cooking all of the food with all of the fresh ingredients they used and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was amazing, incredibly fast for a large group, visually the food was amazing, price was amazing, shared food with large group and ridiculously good, the food was visually stunning. Unbelievable experience, great for lots of people, introduced me to good Turkish food. 10/10 *Will* go again.

Visited this lovely restaurant for dinner tonight and was not disappointed.. service was excellent and the food divine and very authentic - the open kitchen was amazing and watched as our food was being prepared and cooked for us. Would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant!

Arrived at 3pm to a warm welcome,lunch is served till 4pm so chose from the lunch menu which was very reasonable. They brought lovely warm fresh flatbread served with olives,cheese and garlic butter 😋 the white wine they recommended was excellent,a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon with excellent waiting staff food and wine.

We walked past Meze on our way to another restaurant but looked in and saw it was fairly busy for a Monday evening. When the restaurant we were going to was completely empty we turned around and went back to Meze. How glad I am that we did! Lovely atmosphere, great staff and fabulous tasty food. Such a treat to watch the chef prepare and cook the food in front of us, checking with my husband how spicy he wanted it as he was adding to the dish. This was our first visit to Eastbourne, we’ve had a lovely day and finished with a great meal.

Had a walk from our hotel. Place we were planning was empty and noticed Mezz was pretty busy (on a Monday). Full of groups and couples. A few Turkish families as well. Before we even ordered we were given baked Bread butter olives and cheese with small Turkish pizza, all complimentary. There was so much we couldn’t manage a starter. The food is cooked fresh on a grill in full view with chef asking us how spicy we wanted it. Smells in the place were amazing. Main courses were large and tasty. Would recommend Meze to anyone visiting Eastbourne

We enjoyed a fabulous and very filling meal here and Adil was so helpful. It was tasty and well presented and the Turkish rose wine and Efes beer were delicious. We hope to return next time we're in Eastbourne.

Just as good as always. If anything the service is even more polite and, being a Sunday when we visited the atmosphere was very peaceful. We'll be back. By

Wow! What a delicious meal we enjoyed in Meze on Tuesday. We were welcomed by Adil who talked us through some of the food options after giving us bread and oh so delicious olives and we were not disappointed. My husband chose the Turkish meatballs and I opted for the mixed grill which was enormous and very tasty. After this and the complimentary food we did not have room for Baclava but thank you, Adil, and we will be back next time we are in Eastbourne.

Not our first visit, but we had “date night” at Meze and they didn’t disappoint. They looked after us as always. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic Turkish restaurant. Open grill is cooking your made to order food, Watch as the chef freshly prepares each course. Large and extensive range of drinks and have the homemade baklava with a traditional turkish coffee. Perfect for small groups or a memorable couples dining out experience. We did the Meze special which had an assortment of dishes and highly recommended.

This is our favourite restaurant in Eastbourne, if you’re looking for exceptional food, cosy atmosphere and great service go to Meze . Awesome food cooked on the BBQ in front of your eyes. 100% recommend.

Our first time in a Turkish restaurant and we will be back! The waiter who served us was friendly and helped us decide on what to choose from the huge selection of dishes. The food was prepared behind by the most relaxed looking chef I’ve ever seen, he was seated at his bench quietly prepping all the dishes. All in all a great experience and as I said, we will be back!

They fed our soul, minds and bellies. The whole experience was amazing. Food the most delicious in town. The best Turkish food I’ve eaten in London so far. Great food as ever and lovely people

The food quality was excellent- salads and mezes very well dressed with authentic eastern Turkish tastes. All food was freshly prepared with home made bread and Ayran which was really tasty. The host was very generous and friendly. Highly recommend

Always so good, our favourite place to go in Eastbourne. Lovely staff and a lovely atmosphere, no place that feels as authentic as this in Eastbourne. It is a bit expensive but the dishes are huge, so you get a good bang for your buck and I just share a plate with a friend and get a side and thats ideal for me. You also get free bread, olives and feta to start which is delicious!

Great food served with a smile and in timely manner the atmosphere was very authentic. Would definitely return.

This was my first time in a Turkish restaurant and it’s definitely left a good impression. The service was absolutely amazing as everyone was so lovely, helpful, and friendly. The food was wonderful too, and they served the best halloumi I’ve ever had. My friend was also pleasantly surprised about how good her meal was too. All the awards and reviews certainly did it justice, and will definitely have to go back again at some point!

Apart from the excellent food, the service was extremely good. I suffer with a walking disability and the staff went over and above to accommodate my needs. Thank you.

Meze is one of my all time top ten restaurants. Love the food, love the ambience and the staff are friendly and attentive. Whenever we’re in Eastbourne we book Meze, sometimes a couple of visits, maybe even a takeaway for good measure. Really tasty simple food, good value, and the only place I’ve found you can get Efes in the bottle!

Just had wonderful meal. Family run and friendly, open kitchen and the chef just sits there and magically turns out wonderful food. Hint: don't eat before going there. Just wish we had bigger stomachs!

Service was fine but the place was overpriced and the food didn’t justify it. I am Mediterranean and I know how it tastes and what a mousaka is and what serving there is just turlu in the oven. In the photo is the mousaka I didn’t eat there and took away. It’s just okay if you don’t know mediterranean/ middle eastern food and if you want to overspend.

Food was disappointing and restaurant was way overpriced for the quality. The moussaka was not moussaka rather then turlu in the oven. The kebab should have two skewers not one for it being £24!

My wife had and I had a superb meal at Meze. The food was excellent (and lots of it!) at a very reasonable price. The service was also brilliant and our waiter was very friendly. If we lived in Eastbourne, we would probably eat here often.

Nice food, lovely starter of fresh baked bread and garlic butter, and olives. We had lunch menu that was fine but after the starter having more bread I would say it's too much. Definitely grilled meat here is good.

First class service and treated regally. Plates were generous and flavours delicious. Very well price, nice atmosphere and just a really nice place to go.

The staff are always attentive and pleasant. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they are happy to accommodate. Excellent nibbles on the house followed by lovely starters and massive main courses. The rice pudding was absolutely scrumptious and a lovely surprise. As ever, a great experience

If you are in the area and you want good food. GO HERE. The service is fantastic, the atmosphere is amazing, the food is to die for and I don’t say that for most places. Honestly, try it. I got the ribs and my partner got the chicken and lamb - both were to die for. Worth every penny.

We have lived in the area for 30 years and only just discovered this truly great place to eat. The staff in the restaurant are incredibly friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The food is tasty and excellent value. Ingredients are fresh and full of flavour and you can watch it being cooked. Having missed this treat for so long, we now make sure to have a "Monthly Meze" to work our way through the menu. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed!

Absolutely amazing food, lovely decorated dishes. Staff was really sweet, a bit expensive, but for the portion and decoration, it was totally worth it. Highly recommended.
