The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in North East

Restaurant Pine is quite remarkable in all departments; conviviality, hospitality, service, drinks, and food. The restaurant is unstuffy, and casually smart. The food is at the highest level, created from a hyper local process. Between the own grown and foraged ingredients, one would be hard pressed (as a diner) to have a meal of this calibre anywhere else in the UK. Their food balances artistry, culinary prowess, and a deep understanding of their fabulous ingredients. What they do with it all to creat such splendid dishes, is little short of utter genius to me and my palate

Eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection and the Sausage sandwich had so many sausages in it I had to give one to my husband to have alongside his Eggs Benedict. Sausages were really tasty, certainly wasn’t your normal supermarket sausage. It was really busy ( we didn’t book) but food came out in a reasonable time. Definitely recommend.

Booked Whitley Bay Vineyard for a 50th birthday gathering for family and friends. Was perfect venue. Great food on very impressive grazing table. Really friendly and helpful bar staff. Management could not have been more helpful in the booking. Guests thought venue was lovely. Would highly recommend. Excellent.

We went for our usual coffee and toastie today to find that the shop is closing, I can't believe it, the boys have worked so hard to make a thriving busines, loved by many. So sad to see it it go, they will be sorely missed, We wish them all the best going forward, all my best, so sorry we could'nt have said goodbye in person from Marilyn and Bill ( the cancer treatment lady and her husband ) xxxx

Another visit here, and the food never disappoints. Everything delicious with amazing attention to detail. My one request, please get more comfortable chairs. Three hours on hard wooden chairs is too long for my poor bones. Looking forward to the new restaurant Freyja . As it’s purpose built hopefully the acoustics will be better too. We were next to a rather noisy table of 6, just enjoying their evening but it was difficult to hear the descriptions of each dish. Hopefully this will be addressed in the new place. In spite of these small observations, we had a lovely evening as usual.

Came here for our valentines meal and the staff went all out. There were heart balloons on all the tables and all the women were handed a rose on their way out which was a lovely touch. The food itself was great, very flavourful! Will definitely be coming back and keen to try their Turkish breakfast too.

First time here and we loved the food. The set menu was tasty. Hubby had the crayfish to start and I had the curried potato and parsnip soup, both got full marks. The star of the show was the turkey main dinner. Gravy and roast potatoes were so tasty and the turkey was juicy, topped with a Yorkshire pudding. What is not to like. I managed to force myself to have the sticky toffee pudding, it had to be done. Just off the A1 so ideal for a stop for lunch or dinner.

As an Asian, I approve the cheat stay :)

The flavours are beautifully balanced and meals are surprisingly filling for something so beautifully presented. Slightly more expensive than the other restaurants in the town but absolutely worth it.

Lovely large pancakes fully loaded. Be ready the wait for them.

Great food, beautiful atmosphere and awesome service

Just heard that Vinny’s which was the fantastic Italian pop up at Patricia is no more! Gutted as it was one of the best Italian restaurants out there! Visited multiple times and always had great meals! I hope whatever they’ve got planned is just as good!

What a gift to come across this on the way to New Castle. Super friendly people, delicious cakes and a beautiful atmosphere.

Outstanding fish & chips. I purchased Haddock which was cooked there and then so piping hot and delicious. If the weather isn’t great there a small seating are a bit like a tapas bar where you can eat. Definitely the best fish & chips in Whitley Bay or Tynemouth.
