Proper lush little independent shop. Very reasonably priced and the scran is amazing, would recommend the Chorizo and Feta spud ;)

He empezado a trabajar cerca un día a la semana, y gracias a Dios no estoy más a menudo, ya que estaría aquí todo el tiempo! Tienen un menú extenso y todo lo que he pedido siempre ha tenido un sabor increíble, además los tamaños de las porciones son muy generosos. Siempre te saludan y los chicos charlan contigo incluso cuando hay una cola, lo que me gusta. También me encanta que ocasionalmente experimentan con especiales. Recomiendo encarecidamente si está cerca para un almuerzo completo, pero el café y los pasteles también son espectaculares.

Estaba buscando un café antes de tomar un tren y la idea de los lugares habituales de la estación no era atractiva. Nos topamos con la Tienda de Cámaras por casualidad así que vine por un americano. El lugar estaba ocupado con una variedad de cafés, culos, etc que se ordenan y preparan. Me hice un horneado a tope de salchicha así que tenía que tener uno también, era tan bueno como parecía. Habíamos viajado por todo el país durante unos días y no había tomado una buena taza de café en ningún lado hasta este.

Brilliant find, sandwiches are banging and totally customisable. The staff are welcoming and brimming with recommendations, see you in November guys

Lo que es gran pequeño lugar, el propietario nos hizo dos fabulosos sándwiches / envolturas para llevar en el tren con nosotros. Abarrotados de sabrosos ingredientes y por debajo de una tierna, bolsas tenían un montón de servilletas como un pequeño bono, extrañar a los chicos grandes y dar a la tienda de Cámara un grito

Had my first sandwich from here today and it was truly stellar. Ruben on seeded white. The bread bun was gorgeous - nice and chewy with real substance and that salad with the mint in lifted the whole thing, so fresh. Just an amazing sandwich, probably the best I have ever had. I certainly have never reviewed a sandwich shop before, I am back in the office in Newcastle on Tuesday and will be there for another. I gave 5* for the atmosphere because the music was cool

Me encanta este lugar. Todo lo que hacen es bueno y a un precio razonable para el centro de la ciudad. Voy a almorzar 2 - 3 veces a la semana mientras trabajo cerca. Diré que las últimas dos veces que me ha servido el chico más bajo con cabello, se ha olvidado de un elemento importante de mi sándwich y es desgarrador, pero no conveniente para mí caminar de vuelta. Bravo to the chef from Grimsby and his outstanding bacon sandwich and gorgeous halloumi wrap, followed by his scrumptious biscoff delight. (Coffee was lovely too). Smashing job! Good luck on your bike ride in the Alps!

Straight in there, my favourite coffee in Newcastle: Peanut Latte, unbelievable! Can we talk about the Sausage Sandwich? Yes we can, wonderful crispy soda bread and the filling, wow, full of flavour. A brilliant combination this morning. I wish I could visit more often because the food, coffee, atmosphere, venue & decor is perfect. Love seeing and hearing the relationships both gentlemen behind the counter have with their customers.

Popped in today for the first time and we're most impressed. Great food, lovely staff...👍

Came here yesterday for breakfast. The owner was very friendly and really made the atmosphere feel warm. I ordered a sausage buttie and it was so good! I would come back to Newcastle just for it.

Can’t believe they don’t sell cameras, but the halloumi butty for breakfast more than made up for it. Absolutely banging. Great patter as well.

Went there this morning for a coffee and a panini, very quick service, the staff are amazing and very friendly. Nicest mocha I've had and the panini was lovely as well. Absolutely recommend this place!!

There’s usually a bit of a queue as it’s really popular. They take card and the food is fresh. I had the pastrami, chicken, ham and swiss toastie with butter which was £5. It took a few mins to toast. It was a bit dry and could have done with mustard or a sauce.

Cheats Chicken Satay wrap was amazing, decent price as well!

Pretty little shop, which looks slightly quirky. The long queues here speaks for itself. Hearty portions of tasty food - my sandwich had a generous filling, without being overfilled. Staff very helpful and friendly, asking about any allergies and exactly how I wanted my sandwich. There's also a decent choice on their menu. Will definitely head here next time I'm back in this lovely city

Ridiculously good salad boxes! Extremely generous portions and excellent variety of ingredients - super fresh and flavoursome. I generally order in advance to collect and it's always ready when I pick up! Would definitely recommend!

Staff were lovely. Food was quick and tastey. They clearly have a lot of regulars that really enjoy it.

I regularly pop into the Camera Shop for a breakfast roll or lunchtime sandwich. I’m always greeted by a friendly face and served excellent value, high quality food. My recommendation is the breakfast sausage sandwich, which is locally sourced sausages in an artisan sourdough roll with harissa roasted tomatoes and rocket. Delicious!

Stopped here to buy food for our train journey.. really lovely choice of salads/sandwiches/wraps/spuds.. I had a tuna salad box. Quite honestly the nicest salad I’ve ever had.. roasted carrots, sweet potato , kale .. really yummy !

Great sandwiches great coffee and brilliant staff

Day 1 of a 3 day sightseeing break in Newcastle and we walked passed this interesting coffee/food take away, we had 2 flat whites which were perfect ! Coffee is a big deal for us, this place won’t disappoint if you like your coffee too.. great selection of cake and savoury food too.. Would thoroughly recommend this place.. Not all sandwiches are created equal! Passing this shop for the first time I feared the worst... Vintage styling, trendy name, chap with a beard behind the counter... I expected overpriced, style over substance, hipster nonsense. Definitely not the case!!! Very reasonable prices for what can only be described as the greatest sarnies in the known universe! Delicious hunks of bread, generous helpings of chunky, fresh fillings and all customised to your preference without the put out faces some sarnie shops adapt. Fabulous food, lovely chaps and a must visit! Almost makes me look forward to the odd occasions I'm made to work in Newcastle! BBC with extra chicken #perfection

I don't believe I have ever wrote a Google review before, but this place deserves it. The best place in town for lunch, so far I've only had a few of the salad "super" boxes but look forward to working my way through the menu. Plenty of fresh, well-prepared ingredients and lovely staff. Would recommend.

Popped in here for a coffee during our walk. And decided to ask about the super box. After talking the the guy behind the counter decided to get two. And wow were weren't disappointed. So many different flavours. The kimchi was spot on, the feta was amazing and I loved the roasted beetroot and tomatoes. The service was awesome. Will be back. Thank you.

A must stop, for lunch in town! Lovely food, passionately made and quality coffee. Happy friendly staff and glad that they have stayed open over the lockdowns. Also I can't believe someone gave them one star because its "not a camera shop..." they are in for a shock in Currys...

Absolute gem of a sandwich place. I love all their lunch options, including the jacket potatoes. The salad boxes are absolutely unreal! I love how they use lots of fresh local ingredients and offer seasonal additions or specials to their menu. Definitely different to your run of the mill sandwich shop!

Great independent place for takeaway lunches, delicious homemade veggie salad boxes, sandwiches etc. Try the kimchi + tuna melt for a 10/10 taste experience

Wow and what a find; cute and rustic fabulous coffee and sandwich. Staff lovely and smiley and the best coffee and sandwich I have had for £5 ... ever!!! Salad crisp and fresh and tuna not smothered with mayonnaise. Fabulous granary bread ... will definitely return loved it!!!

Genuinely great coffee, with good range of syrup shots - not just the norm. Awesome sandwiches too; the muffuletta is a real hit and the white sourdough bread is delicious. Independent, friendly, tax-paying, loyalty-card giving goodness - my favourite coffee shop.
