Great atmosphere, cool art for sale, great food

The Tuesday quiz is always good fun. Recommend that you book table in advance as it's usually full. Staff are great and the food and drinks are lovely. Highly recommend.

Whenever we are in Gosforth Barca's Tapas are a must. Always introducing new friends to Barca. The Nachos (home made) are our favourite - delicious (paprika coating was just too much for one friend) and almost melt in the mouth. 3 tapas and a bottle of wine is good value and 3 tapas are just enough to fill one up.

If I could give less I would. Literally the worst customer service ever. Gentleman behind bar has zero customer service skills and clearly lacks any resource planning skills too. If you are a bloke wanting a pint you will be fine. However if you are not a bloke and dont want a pint don't bother.

Best pub on the high street ! Friendly atmosphere and good food specially the Sunday lunches which are "just like mum makes" (that's if mum's a good cook 😊). Super nice Tuesday quiz too

Fabulous afternoon watching Newcastle v Sunderland match. Half time food was great, service and atmosphere exceptional. Lovely pub.

Great friendly spot for drinks, and the food is incredible (especially Sunday lunch). Always made to feel looked after and accommodated by everyone behind the bar.

Enjoying drinks until a barmaid rudely interrupted a conversation to say our table was reserved from 5pm, we said ok no problem, to which she barked back it is 6pm now and walked away! We left our seats very much annoyed at having been spoken to in such a rude manner, left us not wanting to return to this venue ever.

We come here often for the weekly pub quiz, and sometimes grab food, the food is really good and great value for money, and the atmosphere and staff are great!

Great little pub on the highstreet called in for a late Sunday lunch at 4pm and still had full menu available, went for the 2 course offer £17.95 we shared the halloumi starter and dessert sticky toffee (which was more than enough) as the mains were huge! I ordered the beef and it was cooked perfectly! Plenty of gravy, the roast potatoes and veg were absolutely delicious! Sides of cauliflower cheese and mashed swede included. Staff were friendly and service was fast. Definitely be back again for another Sunday roast 👍

great bar with nice tapas and variety of drinks. 3 shots for £10 :) the atmosphere is amazing, service was good, couldn’t fault the experience I had the new peri fried chicken which was lovely, partner had hummous flatbread and then scallops. the scallops were over cooked, but we still loved the food. the outside has been painted recently it looks good

A nice bar with a good selection of good beer and one pump of local Ale.

Excellent bar and also love the new outside decor - really puts the bet Fred and chicken shop over the road to shame. I’ve give four out of five for service because they don’t give out free little pens. Otherwise - best bar on the high street.

Front of the building is now an eyesore on the high street. I appreciate it's doing something different but my god it doesn't look good.

This should be busier as the staff are really friendly, beer is great and the decor really good but the reason I don’t give it a higher rating is they keep the side door open all the time and it is too cold-Even the manageress had a thick fleece on towards the end of the night how did she think her customers must feel?! Shut that door please or you will not see us again!!!

Staff member was extremely rude to our party and her attitude sucked. First time trying this bar and none of us will be back. Also - the toilets were absolutely dire.

Love the ceiling, there was a quizz on when we arrives. The place was full house. The barman has a friendly attitude. Didnt have food as we already ate. We will go back there. Imtge outside it looks empty but go inside and feel the atmosphere.

Sunday roast was just perfect! Potatoes were so crispy and beef delicious. Their outdoor eating area overlooks the park. Perfect on a sunny day :)

Lovely local feel to this bar. Great range of ales, wine and spirits. Really friendly staff and dog friendly bar. Barman was chatty and friendly and recommended nice ale for my husband. Very friendly feel to it and we will definitely return.

Had an amazing family meal at Barca Art Bar. The tapas was all excellent, the beers were great and despite being super busy, the staff where incredibly friendly and always had a smile of their faces. Our favourite bar in Gosforth!

My favourite pub in Gosforth. Lovely welcoming atmosphere with a cool little beer garden out the back. Best food on the high street and attentive and friendly staff!

Always loved this pub quirky decor and lovely staff. Finally got round to eating here on Saturday, we had the lamb burger and Mexican burger, both were outstanding and the chips were amazing. The taziki that accompanied the lamb burger was gorgeous and I think homemade. Will definitely eat here again, want to try the tapas.

Best pub in Newcastle tbh. Chill af atmosphere, cool af staff, chef is a burger master. Pub quiz on Tuesdays is challenging enough to be interesting but easy enough to have a chance. Also dogs.

Really good do a decent Cocktail & Beer spot on well worth a visit you won't be disappointed 😉

Bar was freezing asked for some heating on but they didn't do anything about it. Everyone sat with there coats on. We didn't stay

Went to Quiz. Poor lighting, could not see picture round sheet. Although 3 hand pumps on bar & promoted as real ale pub only one real ale available. Only visit when essential. Could be so much better with such little effort.

Went for quiz & ordered drinks only to be told they did not accept cash only plastic. Ridiculous, a pub that doesn't take a country's legal tender. No cards on me so left drinks on bar & sat without a drink for rest of the night. Stupid management. Just don't want to cash up at end of night.

Had a pint that tasted like the toilets smelt. My friends also said that's not right. Took the pint to the bar and asked for something else. 3 of the staff looked at each other like they were scared for their lives. They all asked what I assume was the manager and then she just said no it's fine there's nothing wrong with it without even smelling it or looking at it. The staff couldn't look me in the eye so I just walked away as I could tell what sort of ship she was running. Disgraceful customer service. Feel sorry for the staff.

Great place for food and drink. Food takes longer than average but that's because it is all fresh and delicious, so definitely worth the wait. It is also dog friendly for people with fur babies and brilliant music choice.

Had the home made lamb burger (huge) with all of the trimmings, minty yoghurt dip and great skin on fries. Food was great along with the service. We'll be back

Quirky art bar with a geat atmosphere, staff are super friendly and very helpful. Food was good too. We also got to meet ‘Bruce’ the friendly resident dog. COVID safe ...we will definitely be returning

Lovely bar but management refused to put heaters on despite us being freezing. Other customers were also cold but they claimed they claimed they were low on gas so we’re left to freeze. Such a shame

It was nice in here at first, only been in here since bars reopened on 12 April 2021 until The management told me customers made complaints about me talking to them. That is what pubs is albout in the Geordie Land. We are friendly people and pubs is a social thing but the manager does not think that. Maybe the Government has scrapped talking to people as well. The world has gone crazy with this pandemic recently. All the management had to do was tell me not to disturb other customers and I would of done that. Poor management in my opinion.

Reservamos con anticipación. Pedimos los entrantes, que estaban magníficos, aunque tardaron 45 minutos en llegar. Luego esperamos más de una hora por nuestra comida. Lo realmente exasperante fue que mientras esperábamos (y esperando y esperando ...) un hombre se acercó a la mesa de al lado y comió un delicioso Sunday Roast. Finalmente descubrimos que él era el chef. La comida llegó en un período de 15 minutos. La comida era genial, bien preparada y deliciosa. Los desiertos tardaron otros 45 minutos en llegar. Éramos las únicas personas comiendo en las 3 horas que estuvimos allí. Su comida es fantástica, pero el servicio es tan malo que nunca volveríamos.

Esperé un poco, así que sin duda recién hecho.Lástima que el lugar estuviera tranquilo. Vende varios grabados ubicados en las paredes del lugar. Casi compré uno hasta que me di cuenta de que podía comprar online mucho más barato. ¡Ups!

Han estado varias veces y siempre excelente calidad, grandes porciones de tapas. Vale la pena probar los nachos caseros: se derriten en la boca. Oferta de buena relación calidad-precio que combinamos con los gobiernos "Sal a comer para ayudar" y la convertimos en una oferta aún mejor.

The food was delivered early which was good.It is such a shame that the restaurant service was so bad. When I rang about the missing side order, the person who answered the phone obviously did not believe me, I had to tell her at least 5 times that it had not been received. She slammed the phone down after eventually accepting what I had told her. The missing side order did appear but was cold and unappetising. The description for chow mein involves noodles, onions and bean sprouts - cold noodles arrived. Very disappointing service - will definitely not order again

Food arrived minus chips. Rang shop, said they would send out ASAP. They arrived 30 minutes later, but we had eaten our food by then.

Visited Barca for a few years but never left a review. The bar is great and the staff are really friendly and helpful. We went when they reopened and it felt very safe, everyone was spaced out. Will be returning soon!

This is our 3rd or 4th order. The food has always been of great quality and we enjoy it but the last two have been delivered 20 and 25 minutes after the estimated delivery time, which is disappointing

Food was warm at best which was disappointing, also feel like spending almost £30 seemed a bit steep considering my local chinese gives a full meal and then some for less than a tenner. Will be sticking to the local in future.

Missed off one of the items from our order! Had to wait an extra half an hour for it be delivered! No apology from the person on the phone!!

Food tastes microwaved. Spring rolls and chips were like cardboard. Luckily out mains, crispy beef and chow mein were edible. But then found a spider fried into the prawn crackers. Usually stunning but the past few times I've ordered theres it's been like this. Also the delivery driver was rude telling us to pay in cash but during a pandemic you're supposed to be doing card transactions.

Lovely food, generous portions, pricey but nice

First time we have used Wai Ho but certainly will again. Food was delicious and piping hot and obviously freshly cooked. Delivered within 2 minutes of the time which is excellent considering the roadworks between there and here

Expensive for what it was. Paid £1.70 for what turned out to be a single can of coke!

Delivered early which was perfect. Ordered ribs, roast duck and curry sauce. The duck was fine but the ribs were all fatty, no proper meat.

Was cooked in time. Not the best chicken satay meal though.

Fantastic food the curry and the curry sauce are fantastic however tonight we have had to wait 2hrs10mins for our order to be delivered called the restaurant once it was 20 mins late to be told “it’s on its way” after that it took an extra 35 mins to arrive, it takes 35 mins to deliver 3 miles ?!? Poor service from the restaurant. Do to summarise food good, deliver service very poor. Don’t think I’ll be reordering until collection is available.
