Trabajo cerca y, como muchos otros en la ciudad, tengo la lucha diaria de "qué almorzar". Hay tantos sándwiches que puedes comer en la vida, también caros en esta área. Es genial ver un lugar de comida que ofrece una selección rápida y fácil pero saludable por el mismo precio que su combo de sándwich y papas fritas habitual aquí. Fácil selección electrónica en línea por adelantado o usando las tabletas en la tienda. Comida sabrosa e ingredientes transparentes utilizados. Mi única crítica sería usar tapas de plástico para llevar, aunque hoy me dijeron que están felices de poner la comida en tu propio Tupperware, ¡ganador para mí! Consejo para el restaurante: anuncie en línea y en la tienda que puede traer su propio contenedor, ya que será un gran punto de venta para la multitud de la ciudad. ¿Les contará a sus colegas sobre este lugar: descuentos grupales para los pedidos regulares de la empresa a la hora del almuerzo? ! Sigan con el buen trabajo :)

We spent a few meals here while staying in the attached Ibis hotel; the food and drink were excellent. Just salads, sandwiches, pizza, and sweets but all very good.

Thought I’d give this place another go after my first experience and it’s no better and is more expensive. Burger was so soggy that I couldn’t even pick it up! The roll was so soggy it had disintegrated! I had to eat with knife and fork and it made me feel queasy due to texture of it all! The chips were over cooked and the oil they were cooked in tasted cheap! For one person to spend £17.95 on a meal that was more like burger soup with very brown fries, I will never be trying again. Thank god I decided to try when my partner was out as the whole meal would have cost double! Why oh why can’t Swanage do things right! Is it where people come who can’t make it anywhere else? I’m not happy!

Spent a lot of time in this pub when passing in the area. Arrived for a family meal after a day out in Thirsk. The welcoming from the blonde/gray larger sized women was abysmal very cold and frosty, boarding on rude, like our custom was not wanted. It is such a shame as this pub has so much potential, the food prices had also increased and the quantity was far from what it was. I really hope some magic dust gets sprinkled on this place and some new management takes on this place soon. I do not want to spend my hard earned money on somewhere I am not welcomed.

We went to the Brasserie Blanc to sample their new spring menu. I can honestly say that we had the best meal out we have had for a long, long time. In addition the service was really good, we were made to feel really welcome. Their cocktails are some of the best around - amazingly good, (and many are 241 early evenings). The baguette and dips, makes a delicious small sharted starter. The mains sea bream and duck were equally good. For deserts pistaccio souffle and the merangue tart au citron - all I can say is OMG - do leave room for desert, its just choosing which one that is the problem. We swapped half way ythrough. Handy hint - Its worth signing up for their offers which are very good value, and looking out for their specials nights. Its not the cheapest but it is reasonable and the food is sooo good!

Overall we all agreed on the journey home that we had a great time. We are a bunch of friends so we'd have a good time in a coalmine. That said, there were a couple of issues. Firstly big points to the guy on reception that advised us our 2pm table wasn't ready yet and as we were in no hurry that was fine but he was great at keeping us informed. Our table servers were great too. So, the issues...we all bar one wanted the Fillet Steak but that wasn't available, this hadn't been mentioned before. The Cheese & Biscuits 'dessert' also wasn't available or mentioned, again, this was news until ordering time. The London Pride (our fave beer) wasn't available. I guess none of the above will be available tomorrow either. It was my Birthday which we made known but that made no difference. Why should it I guess. We enjoyed what we had, we enjoyed the service but I don't know if we'll rush back.

Totally disgusted. Spent £15 to park. Walked into a nearly empty pub area, asked for a table (there were about twenty empty tables) and was told if we'd not booked or were not staying they were not serving. No offer of a refund for parking, zero customer service. Felt like a walk of shame having to walk back out of the pub. The Swan is all fur coat and no knickers.

I live in S. Wales but travel to the Kings Lynn area to stay with family once or twice a year. I like this pub very much because of it's lovely location, smart interior and a good choice of ale's. However I notice in some reviews people complain about the surliness of the landlord and landlady, well funny thing but I found this to be the case as well, a right pair of misery guts they are, but I do not care about this in the slightest degree as long as they do not have a go at me directly. So we will continue to leave our women in Downham to shop and call in for a few pint's. Oh I'm 74 now so I can get a bit crotchety myself... x
