Marks and Spencer in Stockton-on-Tees

Quickly delivered but a bit of a let down, especially since the last time I had a meal from here was also rather poor, although that was a couple of years ago. Chicken was a bit dry and the sauce had a vinegary smack to it, which I thought rather unusual. Keema naan was very light on the filling, a pity because it was a nice texture. Rice very ordinary. Not cheap either.

Needs to be experienced! Unique pub, but make sure you take cash as do not take card.

Dropped in for a late breakfast on a Saturday morning, lucky to get a table as it was almost fully booked. Sat outside which was no problem as the weather was fine. Ordered the full breakfast and the wife had the poached eggs. Had a small but not unexpected wait for our food to arrive as they were extremely busy, but we were in no hurray. Always happy to support local businesses that produce good food with good service.

Not sure if there is a new Cook as we normally have something to eat every few weeks, but the last time we were in 25 minutes later, the order hadn’t turned up so we told one of the staff and she said we’ll find out what’s happening and let you know she never came back, so we asked a different member of staff then 10 minutes later we got our food order I ordered a halloumi cheese wrap. I thought it didn’t taste right, but carried on eating it halfway through. I open the wrap and it was small chicken fillet and burnt on both sides , I am vegetarian so mentioned it to the the staff but they didn’t seem to bothered , although the service for drinks was very quick but food was very disappointing

Left out the fries from my order, called them and were lovely about it. Apologised and invited me back round and gave the fries and some extras to apologise. Guy made me feel at ease and was very friendly. This is a compliment to him. Thank you. Saturday night too and the place closed. Great service
