The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Aberystwyth Rheidol Ceredigion Mid Wales

Afternoon birthday tea, 3 difficult diets deliciously accommodated for. Sorry, no photos, too busy eating it! Gluten-free vegetarian, nut & seed free vegetarian and a vegan all with our own separate tiered plates of safe food. Big thanks to a great team and rousing rendition of happy birthday with a real lit candle. Memories are made here.

Tasty fish, chips and scampi with great views. Huge portions and fast service. If I had one criticism it would be to have proper cutlery, not small take out wooden ones for dining in.

Breakfast at 8am, staff lifeless, condiment section untidy, dirty,empty sauce bottles,drinking water,and glasses. The tables and chairs had not been cleaned thoroughly.Certainly not to the standard I am used to as a local, regular customer. However, the breakfast was exceptional,as always, praises to the kitchen staff and thank you.

Always a very quick service. Good selection to choose from. Plenty of space and more seating upstairs if needed.

Not a great experience this Friday 12th Jan. I'm a regular visitor to Starbucks Aberystwyth and usually really like it there: very friendly, relaxed, efficient, clean plus nice and warm and cosy in winter. Unfortunately last Friday I had a miserable experience and it's really put me off the place, though hoping this was just a one off! Bought my coffee and sat down as usual and a member of staff who I had never seen before was pulling about the chairs and tables, kept moving them about around me, loud scraping on the floor etc , it was like being on a construction site! It wasn't just one chair and table that he was moving about but appeared to be most of the cafe other than where I was sitting and around others sitting there - can't imagine why as all looked fine and as it normally does when I went in. Also surely if he must do this then do it when the cafe is empty not full of paying customers. He was huffing and puffing about as if in a bad mood which was also not appealing and he was constantly opening the Main door wide open and leaving it like that - I heard him saying to other staff 'It's too hot in here' which was ridiculous as it was absolutely freezing out and it was so cold in there all the customers were wearing their coats! I also heard him chuntering to the other staff about this and that which was also not professional in front of customers. Never seen him before and hope to not see him again!! Ruined the lovely vibe there completely. Certainly won't be going back if he is a regular fixture now!!

After having a bad experience once before we thought we would give the cafe another go..... big mistake !! I appreciate times are difficult at the moment but one member of staff taking orders and making the drinks whilst there was at least 10 people behind me waiting in the queue was ridiculous. I was 2nd in the queue and waited 25 mins for 2 coffees and a hot chocolate, the poor young lad was under pressure but was very polite under the circumstances. Unfortunately when I got to my table our drinks were cold , which was very disappointing given the time we waited for them. I will definitely not be returning again unfortunately. Plenty of other places to get better service and a hot drink . I have worked in this line of business for many years and understand how difficult it can be on times, but given all the bad reviews of the cafe it s time to do something about it !!
